Answer:	it is designed to be burried, accepted by cemetaries. One piece with a fill hole in the bottom with an O-ring, about two inches.

Answer:	There is an opening on the bottom, about a 2" diameter plastic screwed seal. After putting my husband's ashes in, I lined the screw threads with plumbers tape. The screw is very strong plastic, so I was able to tighten it very much. I am confident it was watertight.

Answer:	The capsule maybe opened by turning the two halves apart and separating them. If the included Seal-All adhesive was used then the capsule is sealed properly per cemetery requirements and is a watertight Urn/Vault. The options for opening the Urn/Vault once sealed are limited without possible damage to the Urn.
