10 best roach killer for restaurants
Roach killers for restaurants are essential tools in pest control to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. These products are designed to effectively eliminate and prevent infestations of cockroaches, which can be a significant problem in foodservice establishments. Here's what you should know about roach killers for restaurants:
Types of Roach Killers:
- Roach killers for restaurants come in various forms, with bait stations and lures being among the most common.
Bait Stations:
- Bait stations are containers or traps that hold bait and lure roaches into them.
- The bait typically contains toxic substances that roaches ingest and carry back to their nests, ultimately killing the entire colony.
Bait Lures:
- Bait lures are designed to attract roaches by emitting scents or pheromones that mimic their natural food sources.
- Once attracted, the roaches consume the bait, which contains toxins to kill them.
Effectiveness:
- The effectiveness of roach killers depends on several factors, including the type of bait or lure, the level of infestation, and proper placement of the traps.
- Some baits are designed to work slowly, allowing roaches to carry the poison back to their nests and eliminate the entire population.
Placement:
- Proper placement of roach killers is crucial. They should be located in areas where roaches are likely to frequent, such as near food preparation areas, under sinks, and in storage spaces.
- Regular inspection and repositioning of traps may be necessary to maximize effectiveness.
Safety Considerations:
- It's essential to choose roach killers that are safe for use in a restaurant environment and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Many commercial products are designed to be safe for food establishments when used as directed.
Preventive Measures:
- In addition to using roach killers, restaurants should implement good sanitation practices, such as keeping the premises clean, eliminating food debris, and sealing potential entry points for roaches.
- Regular inspections and maintenance can help prevent infestations.
Professional Pest Control Services:
- In severe infestation cases, or for ongoing pest management, many restaurants opt to hire professional pest control services. These experts can assess the situation and implement customized solutions.
Regulations and Compliance:
- Restaurants should be aware of local health department regulations and guidelines for pest control to ensure compliance and maintain a sanitary environment.
In summary, roach killers for restaurants, including bait stations and lures, are crucial tools for pest control. They are designed to attract and eliminate roaches effectively. However, it's essential to choose safe, compliant products and implement a comprehensive pest control plan, which may include preventive measures and professional pest control services, to maintain a pest-free restaurant environment.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it come in larger size |
Answer: | This product only comes in 1 size |
Question: | Will it kill web worms |
Answer: | Are you talking about sod webworms? If so, yes, but it takes a few treatments. I tried this after using the generic stuff from Lowes, which did nothing. I had some that almost decimated my entire back yard and this did the trick. The treatment recommended to me was 3 treatments over 2 weeks to break the egg cycle. |
Question: | Does it kill bed buds |
Answer: | No, Demon Max is not labeled for bed bugs. |
Question: | Anybody used this with wasp or hornets? Results |
Answer: | Yes, this kills ants, spiders, anything that crawls and is considered a bug. Unfortunately, it also claimed the dragon flies and butterflies that flew into my garage. I spray my garage door and floor and anything that touches it dies. I re-apply every 2-3 months. When the little critters cross that line into my garage, they start slowing down, curling up and die. I simply sweep them out when dead. I also have a bee & hornet problem, I live in the woods, so critters are a problem. I spray my wood shed with this, both inside and out, it has kept them all out. I also spray the places that I see hornets start to build nests. They never come back. I live in the south, so bugs are everywhere. This does a great job at keeping them away. |

Microcapsules are designed to be picked up by insects as they crawl over treated surfaces so they can be easily transferred and help control insects on contact. That’s why the iCAP technology microcaps, shown in green, adhere to insects and are easily passed to other insects for thorough control.
Multiple-sized microcaps with controlled release makes iCAP technology a unique choice. Smaller microcaps release the active ingredient quickly for immediate control, while larger microcaps remain intact and release the active ingredient later for long-lasting, residual control for up to 90 days.
Demand CS capsule remains intact under heat and pressure. A microcap’s smooth outer shell protects the active ingredient from environmental conditions like sunlight and pH extremes. This means Demand CS is strong enough to maintain control between bi-monthly and quarterly service cycles, reducing the need to retreat customer properties.
Cyhalocap
Cyhalocap capsule is damaged under heat and pressure.
Cyzmic
Cyzmic CS capsule collapses.
LambdaStar
LambdaStar insecticide capsule fully collapse under heat and pressure.
Cyonara
Cyonara insecticide has crystals - no microcaps.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be dusted into the dry bathtub directly to kill silverfish? Is this carpet safe |
Answer: | It has a push on RF connector. If you are looking for one with the screw on type connection, this (mine, anyway) won't work. The antenna with it & those I have purchased, however, all have the push on type round end connector so that was not the issue for me. Hope this helps you. I took pics of the connector and the top of tv into which it goes, but I can't get it to accept them. I will continue to attempt to include pics for you, though |
Question: | Is there a trick to getting the powder out? No matter how much I shake or squeeze nothing comes out of the tip |
Answer: | did not come with stand |
Question: | Does this kill centipedes |
Answer: | Sorry, can't help...I thru it in the garbage..It's a piece of junk.. |
Question: | What do if they are in power outlets |
Answer: | In my earlier review, I mentioned that I had to remove the stand fitting and rotate it to make the stand work. You can look at my review for details. It is a simple fix. Hope this helps. |

About Harris
Problem solving has a long heritage at PF Harris. In 1924, two years after its founding, the company tackled the Calvin Coolidge White House, which had been overrun for years by roaches and water bugs. Harris’s product was so successful in eliminating the scourge that he was described on the front page of the Washington Times as a "vermin slayer" who has just fought a decisive, winning battle with a horde of cockroaches which infested the lower regions of the Executive Mansion.
Over the course of the next few months Harris took “his final feast” to dozens of government buildings, including the Senate Office Building, the Department of Justice, the Supreme Court and Walter Reed Hospital. Success followed success: Each superintendent of the various buildings was highly satisfied with the results.
The company today stays nimble enough to respond to changing market demands, leading the way in the development of numerous products, including natural insect repellents like Swamp Gator and Swamp Gnat which repel biting insects without using deet. Beyond the products it sells, Harris helps customers find easy and economical solutions to pest problems through helpful labeling, instructive videos and personal advice.
It’s a brand with a reliable past and an innovative future. PF Harris is America’s oldest EPA-registered company. With more than 55 products, the company provides solutions to treat everything from roaches and bed bugs to scorpions and stink bugs.

User questions & answers
Question: | Can I use this outside on a brick house |
Answer: | Hello, Thank you for your question. We recommend using this product around the base of the foundation of your house. Best, John |
Question: | Do you need to keep spraying? How long does an application last |
Answer: | I've only sprayed it once for far and it's been two months or more since I initially did it. There's enough in there for multiple sprays if needed though, so it should last you quite a long time. |
Question: | Is this product any good for moth infestations |
Answer: | Doubtful. It’s pretty specific to only the Asian lady beetles, where it’s very effective. |
Question: | Can it be spayed indoors with no open windows |
Answer: | I would recommend not doing that. It's poison.... I would even venture to say that the only time it is safe to spray poison in a home with no windows open is never...or perhaps if you have no walls or a roof. Even then you may be pushing your luck. |

Harris Asian Lady Beetle and Box Elder Killer
Harris Gallon Asian Lady Beetle and Box Elder Bug Killer is odorless, non staining, and long lasting. Also kills flies, mosquitoes, and other insects. Non-staining formula can be used on many surfaces.
This item is registered with the EPA (No. 3-11) for both indoor and outdoor use. Not for sale in California
Step 1
Remove the lid and install the trigger sprayer. Twist the spray nozzle to the “on” position. Hold the container upright and squeeze the trigger to spray. Keep the spray nozzle approximately 12 inches away from the surfaces you are treating. Spray until the surface is slightly moist, but not to the point where the product is running or dripping off.
Step 2
Important surfaces to spray to get rid of asian lady beetles and box elder bugs include: around door and window frames (inside and out), window screens, storage areas, baseboards, exterior south facing walls, and other areas where these bugs like to crawl, rest, or congregate. If you want to treat screens, remove them prior to spraying, and then allow them to dry before reinstalling.
Step 3
Allow treated surfaces to completely dry (approximately 2 hours) before pets or children return to the area. The residual effects of the product will continue to kill bugs for several weeks. Check south facing walls after a few weeks to see if lady beetle or box elder bug activity has resumed. The direct, intense sunlight can breakdown the product quickly, and reapplication may be necessary.
- Kills Roaches When Spray Dries - The spray will kill once completely dried and continues to kill roaches weeks after application
- Great Value - 1 Gallon allows for repeated applications on an on-going basis to effectively eliminate roaches
- Odorless Formula - Odorless and non-staining formula will not cause damage to fabrics when used according to label directions
- EPA Registered - Approved for use in homes with people and pets by the Environmental Protection Agency (No. 3-11)
- Extended Trigger Sprayer - Use the included trigger sprayer to effectively treat areas where roaches are hiding
User questions & answers
Question: | Why can’t this be delivered to me in California |
Answer: | This product is recommended for the common roach. We do not have any testing information for this specific species. |
Question: | Is it harmful for pets |
Answer: | Yes it does. The bait is in a see thru package. You glue it to a wall (glue attached) or stand it on the ground. When you no longer see the bait, the roaches had dinner and it's time to replace. Takes a long time to use up. I recommend this product 100% |
Question: | How do you clean after treatment ? I accidentally applied some to the floor. If I clean it with bleach will the product still works |
Answer: | The best thing to do with this is the mix it with boiled egg yolks and sugar and make a paste not watery but Sorbet soft and smooth and place them all over the house and in a few weeks or less you will see a bunch of dead roaches |
Question: | Hello.. i bought harris hrs-128 roach killer home pest control 18 month ready-to-use 128oz, clear but didnt get the spray handle |
Answer: | Bugs live in your walls.. so for the best results.. remove all of your outlet plates.. put the pointed tip in and squirt some of the powder into the wall. This should drive the bugs OUT of the walls. About a month or so later put some of the powder around the outside perimeter of your house. DO NOT do this first.. you will only drive the bugs INSIDE. Drive them OUT of the house first.. then when they are gone apply around the outside perimeter to keep them from moving back in to live in your walls. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How long does it last? One month, two? Nothing on the product states how long it remains effective. Raid says theirs last for two months. Thank you |
Answer: | Can't say really. I bombed the place for fleas and it was pretty effective. The fleas came back at one point, but it is really hard to keep them out anyways. But it was many months. Can't say that is because it lasted for that long though. |
Question: | Do you have to turn off your pilot lights before use |
Answer: | It says right on the front of the box "No need to turn off pilot lights" so you should be fine to leave it on. Maybe just don't place the can right next to the stove. |
Question: | Do you have to/should you cover beds & bedding around this |
Answer: | No, you do not have to cover anything. Just put some newspaper down on the floor where the aerosol can goes. I have never had anissue with any residue. |
Question: | is hot stuff fogger safe around infants and pets |
Answer: | Just read the user manual because I had the same question. It says: "Do not allow adults, children or pets to enter the treated area until vapors, mists and aerosols have dispersed and the treated area has been thoroughly ventilated." So, it looks like it is safe as long as it has "dispersed" and the area is "thoroughly ventilated". |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will these work for spiders and oriental roaches |
Answer: | Hi Tanya F, thank you for the inquiry regarding our Hot Shot HG-96591 Ultra Liquid Roach Bait. The product can evaporate over time depending where the product is located and if near any heat sources. The satisfaction of our consumers is very important to us. Please contact us at 1-800-917-5438 or email us at youropinioncounts@spectrumbrands.com so that we may better assist you. |
Question: | How many tablets does it have....?...."Approximately 100 tablets or Approximately 50 tablets"....?....Thanks |
Answer: | We had a bad problem & we bought 12 the first go round & saw way fewer bugs, in the first few weeks. We currently buy baits about every 3 months to maintain bug freedom. These are the only thing working otc. As far as different angles. They have to sit on a flat horizontal surface. I won't buy anything else |
Question: | can you put them in the corners of your cabinets next to dishes? I cannot seem to find this information anywhere |
Answer: | Same as everyone has said here except don't pull tab off quickly or carelessly and definitely not angled towards you. It spritzes when you pull tab off. It can get on you and if your mouth is open you will taste it for longer than you want. Like long after you rinsed your mouth out, ate, drank fluids etc... NOT regretting purchase AT ALL. Roaches in my house can die. someone did some construction and pulling up stuff in their backyard and we got dumped with the fall out of silverfish and roaches of what seemed to be 2 different species. Hot Mess! So I was not upset at the spritz. But I had a burning sensation that lasted even after washing a few times. Have to wash face and hands and anything that this gets on like 5 times. Finally my Neutrogena face towels for makeup removal and cleaning in the blue pack removed a good amt more. Felt different. This is really potent stuff and I would use gloves and goggles and a face mask to undo the tabs and such. AND CLEAN AREA AFTER USE. DO NOT USE IN KITCHEN WITHOUT A THOROUGH MULTIPLE TIMES SOAPY WASH DOWN OF ENTIRE AREA. DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING. NOT FACE, NOT FOOD, NOT ANYTHING OR YOU WILL REGRET IT IF YOU ONLY WASH YOUR HANDS LIKE 2 OR 3 TIMES. HAD 2 THROW OUT CHICKEN. Just my 2 cents. hot shot is always way more potent to me than other sprays and such so... At least I had confirmation a roach would hate it! This is day or should I say night 1. Hope it works well. I think they'll drop dead on contact. |
Question: | I need to be able to put something out under our outdoor deck. Would these tablets work |
Answer: | It depends on how many roaches are drinking from it, the temperature in the house, and the humidity. I wasn't sure about this either, so I placed some on sticky traps. One showed a marked reduction in liquid level, yet there were no bugs (aside from two small spiders) on the sticky trap. It was in the cabinet above the stove where it's much warmer and only lasted about 3 weeks. I feel if you have an infestation these will be a good part of the solution but shouldn't be the only part. |

User questions & answers
Question: | One more question. Will it kill stink bugs |
Answer: | 10 foot is about the amount I used it but I'd say if I put it on small stream it would spray 25 to 30 foot |
Question: | Will this product kill hookworms |
Answer: | China/USA, either way..horrible product. Brand new from the box and wouldn't spray even a drop. Absolute waste. |
Question: | Is this a water-based product and doesn’t have a scent |
Answer: | I wanted it to mist too, but couldn't get it to do that. Even if you adjust the nozzle to spray as opposed to stream, it's still not exactly a fine mist. |
Question: | Will this work for termites |
Answer: | NO, there is no separate release valve - However, that feature is available on the higher priced Chapin sprayer models. Keep in mind, this is a VERY inexpensive sprayer, and doesn't have the all the bells and whistles. WHEN RELEASING PRESSURE - Please be sure to tilt the tank away from yourself, and in a safe direction, before gently loosening the handle assembly about a 1/4 turn to relieve internal pressure, as it WILL SPRAY A MIST of whatever contents were being sprayed - and you may not want that in your face, eyes, and lungs - Be Safe - Cheers |

Question: | Can I use this in a car? How long would you stay out |

Question: | how long do we have to stay out of the house if a fogger is used |
Answer: | 4 hours is recommended but I guess it would depend on how many foggers you use in the house. If more than one maybe stay out a little longer than 4 hours |
Question: | how long does it last |
Answer: | Not sure, had it for months and never saw a roach. The powder works better, took care of the issue. |
Question: | how to dispose safely all the roaches which are trapped |
Answer: | You might have to use gloves and put them into a bag and dispose of them outside, not inside your trash, but outside. |

Harris Roach Traps (2 Pack)
Harris roach traps catch roaches and other crawling insects. Simply place where insects are seen and throw away the trap after insects are caught. We recommend using these traps in combination with Harris roach tablets or Harris roach killer. A single roach or two is often a sign of an infestation. Attacking the problem using several different methods is the optimal course of action.
Set the Trap
Roach traps can be used in areas that are hard to reach to apply a spray or gel. Places such as under the stove, refrigerator, and even inside cabinets. Use Roach Traps in your bathroom and basements.
Wait for the Trap to Fill Up
Roach Traps are easy to use and work great for monitoring not only roaches, but other insects, such as spiders, silverfish, earwigs. Sometimes you'd be surprised by all of the insects you'll catch.
Discard
Throw away the trap after insects are caught. We recommend using these traps in combination with Harris roach tablets or Harris roach killer. No chemicals used of any kind.
