There is a higher learning curve with it than the other VLF units like the Ace 350 or the AT Pro. This unit is geared more toward gold or silver prospecting. Since there are no gold or silver veins or streams in my neck of the woods, I mainly use my ATX for beach or relic hunting. It preforms amazingly in those tasks.

Answer:	This unit is weatherproof not waterproof and only the coil submersible. It is great for hunting in the rain or snow. Depth is determined by several factors. Size of target, metal conductivity, mineralization of the soil, and coil size. On this particular detector for example, a soda can could be detected at approx. 12 to15 inches or a coin size target 6 to 8 inches.

Function Description



❖Volume controller/Power switch:The volume is lowest at the starting position and increases gradually with the clockwise rotation until it reaches the maximum volume.

❖Sensitivity Controller:The sensitivity is the lowest when it spins counterclockwise to the end. When searching for the target, the sensitivity can be adjusted to a higher position. If there is complex soil mineralization or the electromagnetic interference, the instability will occurs, which recommend to lower the sensitivity.

❖Discrimination Controller:There are a total of 4 gear positions to adjust, each gear position corresponds to the different metal targets .

❖Pinpoint Function:After you find the target, you want to determine the approximate depth of the target, then press the Pinpoint button at the position where the target is found. At this point, we can determine the approximate depth of the target through different LED display.

❖LED Indicator:There are four different colors of LED lights.LED indicates metal type in DICS mode and indicates target depth in PP mode.

❖Headphone Jack:The internal speaker will be disconnected after the earphone is inserted into the jack.

Discrimination Function Description

• Four gear positions corresponds to the different metal targets.
• The first gear:all metal detection, such as: iron, steel, aluminum, brass, silver, copper and gold. Rotate clockwise to reduce the type of metal being detected.
• The second gear: Nickel was eliminated.
• The third gear: Zinc was eliminated.
• When rotated clockwise to the maximum position then the target is 25 cents.

Pinpoint Function

This detector has two modes- DISC mode and PP mode. DISC functionality as described in point .When you press and hold the Pinpoint key, you will then enter the PP mode. When you release the Pin Point key, you will go back to DISC mode.This function helps to find the location of the target more accurately.
