The wheels and axles are still a bit flimsy, but if your not to hard on them they work just fine. This is not the toughest mower design out there, but it is so convenient to have zero maintenance. I have given away all of my gas and corded yard tools and use Makita only now. I am definitely sold n the Makita line of tools. |

| Answer: | The variables can't be set aside. I have mowed the whole lawn twice in an attempt to run the batteries out, and they held up longer than I did, more than an hour. That's at low speed. Yesterday I hayed the yard after almost three weeks of rain and no mowing. The vegetation was pretty much eight inches high or more everywhere, and the mower ran at top speed the whole time. It ran for about forty minutes, and then (for the first time ever) stopped because the batteries were dead. I had already bagged about eighty gallons of fairly most grass. I was able to mow almost the same amount of area that I get with 20% charge left, all but a strip that was about six square feet. It took two minutes to grab a new set of batteries off the charger (the kit comes with four) and finish the job. |

Good to know replacements are so inexpensive on eBay 🙃 I guess if you’ve never used a mower before you might wonder where the grass goes. I’ve never used a bag, never dethatched, my zoysia is more than 35 years old and very healthy. I consider the grass clippings a gift from God. As far as where does the cut grass go, it stays pretty much right there. This is a very small mower if you use it that way. If the green stuff is very tall, we just had more than 10 days of rain, then I cut little narrow swathes. It is a weed eater with a deck. I had breast cancer 4 years ago. The treatment almost did me in. Up until then I did my own yard work. I’ve paid hundreds of dollars hiring idiots to scalp my zoysia and then take out my roses, Japanese maples, fig trees, lilies and plants large enough to see with weeders. I bought this little guy for me to use as it’s small enough for me use to mow my uneven lawn and it’s hard to scalp s rise budh if the weeder stays in the deck. I love this little guy. |

| Answer: | As several people have stated, it dosn't come with a cord. You must buy a separate outdoor extension cord long enogh for your use. One person stated he used a 100 ft 10 amp cord. I hope he ment a 10 gage cord. I wouldn't recomend running a 13 amp motor on a cord rated for 10 amps. I use a 100 ft 14 gage cord. 14 gage wire is rated for 15 amps, 12 gage for 20 amps and 10 gage for 30 amps. I find the mower runs on the 14 gage without heating the wire at all. If the wire gets hot, you are using to small of a wire. Go to a smaller gage number to carry more amps. |

The front wheels of the newer model look more substantial, but obviously I can't swear to their durability.Besides the reversible chute mentioned by photofan, the description says the older model is 30% easier to push (which is pretty darn easy on my bermuda grass) and the newer one says 60% easier. The older model also says "50 percent more cutting power" while the newer one says 100% ("twice") the cutting power. Edit: Having now seen the newer model, the new front wheels are essentially smaller versions of the back wheels. So I assume they would last longer than the front wheels of the older model. |
