I use lithium rechargeable battery in a waterproof case mounted in the day hatch and connected using Bulgin connectors. Be careful using automotive style switches and connectors. They say they are waterproof, but they aren't designed for submersion.

Answer:	Only clean water. I added a nylon cloth filter screen to the intake. Works well. If it does get clogged it is easy to clean. Remove 4 screws and face plate, pull out impeller, rinse well with clean water, reinstall, good to go again.

With that said from the pump to where it comes out the top of my fountain it is 20-21” to the top of the where the water plume falls back over. All of that length other than the last 2” is through a small tube which I hoseclamped over the attachment on the pump.

Answer:	I think it is fairly quiet. I am real satisfied. I used a cooler for a tank while we were camping, & a 27 size battery with 1 dead cell.ran 3 days ,& still running strong. Answer:	Remember there can be a lot of loss of flow when pumping water and it adds up fast. For instance this pump is 1/2" output so you might think there is no reason to use a bigger pipe because the water flow is already choked down to 1/2" But if running more than a foot or so a 1/2" pipe will severely restrict the waterflow in either distance or height of pumping. It could be useful to run a 1" or even a 2" pipe if running over 5" or 2 or 3" up for maximum flow. Or stay with a smaller pipe if wanting to limit flow. I use a bigger pipe then add a restrictor at the end to give me the option. As an example: 5ft 1/2" gpm= 23 5ft at 3/4" pipe = 66 gpm. max. A low pressure pump could be significantly lower. The hose gets longer, the flow rate of the hose drops. A 25-foot, 1/2-inch diameter hose attached to a faucet that supplies water at 40 psi has a flow rate of 24 gallons per minute, while a 100-foot hose only has a flow rate of 6 gallons per minute. I saw there that 10A is recommended as a solar panel DC electric source....but it will take higher amperage...up to 18A ? I haven't used my pump yet, so I refer you to this website....
Question:	How hight can it shoot the water
Answer:	There are too many variables to answer your question accurately. But if you use the highest recommended power solar panel for this pump which i'm guessing is in the 20 to 30 watt range and no attachments to where the water exits the pump and at surface level, the water will shoot up less than a foot. But if you attach a tube and disc it can probably shoot water 6 to 10 feet high but at reduced volume because the water will be forced through the smaller opening in the disc. Keep in mind the higher the water goes the more likely the wind can make the water land outside the container, even if it's 5 feet wide. The one customer complaining the pump was too weak in his bird bath probably used a solar panel 5 watts or less or had one of those 8 foot tall 5 level ones.

Answer:	I bought this pump for my water feature, to send water up 3 ft using a solar cell. It did a fine job for few weeks. The pump would appear to pump good amount of water if used horizontal, but 3 ft vertical a different story. Then it was not able to function. I do not recall what was this pump advertised for. It may have been for RV shower!. I do not think this is a pump for continuous operation. To pull water 8 ft is like sending water 8 feet high in its tube. I doubt this can handle this. My solar cell was a match for the wattage of this pump.
