A Passion for Keyboards
Our founder, Uli Behringer has a deep passion for keyboards. Born in the small town of Baden, Switzerland in 1961, Uli grew up in a musical family where his mother taught him to play the piano at the tender age of four. His father was a scientist who built a massive organ in the family home and taught the young lad all about electronics. So at the age of 17, Behringer built his first synthesizer – the UB-1. Later, while attending college to seek a degree in audio engineering, Uli put his electronics knowledge to use, building his own equalizers and signal processors to fill the gap left by the university's inability to provide enough proper studio gear. Word soon spread about how good his products were, and he began building gear for his friends – the BEHRINGER legacy had begun. The rest, as they say, is history...
MS-101
The 1980s and ’90s spawned a new 'wave' of synth performers including Devo, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, The Crystal Method and a host of others, all empowered by the sound of a simple strap-on instrument that let keyboardists steal the spotlight away from their guitar- wielding bandmates. An ultra-affordable homage to that iconic synthesizer with all the features of the original and then some, such as a 32-step sequencer, arpeggiator and live performance kit, the MS-101 lets you conjure up virtually any sound with incredible finesse and ease. With its 32 semi-weighted full-size keys, pure analog signal path, authentic 3340 VCO with 4 simultaneously-mixable waveforms, plus extremely flexible VCF and VCA filters, the MS-101 is sure to become your favorite keyboard. Owning the MS-101 is like having your own personal time machine, enabling you to embrace the past – or make your imprint on the future!
True to the Original
Great care has been taken in engineering the MS-101, including the true to the original analog circuitry, legendary VCO, VCF and VCA designs, all of which combine to make it easy to recreate the classic sound performance. This highly-focused attention to detail is what gives the MS-101 its ultra-flexible sound shaping capability, which covers everything from super-fat bass and lead tones to stunning effects – and all the way out to the otherworldly sounds of your imagination.
Big, Fat Tones
The inspired synthesizer tracks laid down in the 1980s and ’90s are etched in the annals of progressive rock, wave, EDM and synth-pop music forever, making them truly classic in every sense of the word. The MS-101 lets you recreate all of that magic – or design incredibly fat and original sounds that will make you a legend in your own right!
Versatile Oscillator
MS-101-’s authentic 3340 Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) provides an incredible range of 4 simultaneously-mixable waveforms for sculpting the perfect sound. Options include: saw, triangle, square/pwm and octave-divided square sub-oscillator. Additionally, the VCO can be adjusted across a wide, 4-octave range (16', 8', 4', and 2'). This amazing flexibility gives you the tools needed to be your creative best.
Versatile VCF
The very heart of MS-101's sound is its highly-flexible Voltage Control Filter (VCF), which includes faders for: cutoff Frequency (10 Hz to 20 kHz); Resonance (0 to self-oscillation); Envelope and Modulation depth, and Keyboard follow (0 to 100%) to dial in the perfect sound. MS-101’s VCF can be modulated via the ADSR, keyboard tracking and Bender controller. The Frequency Modulation (FM) Amount knob sets the depth, while the FM Source selector lets you further modify the signal by choosing from: pulse; sawtooth; sub oscillator 1 octave down; 2 octaves down; narrow 2 octaves down, and Noise.
The Envelope, Please...
MS-101’s Envelope generator features 4 ADSR (Attack, Decay, Sustain and Release) faders that help you craft incredible sounds, and utilizes a 3-position switch for Gate, Gate + Trigger and LFO. When applied to the Voltage Control Amplifier (VCA), the ADSR envelope is used to control the level of the note being played over time. When applied to the VCF, the ADSR envelope is used to control the cut-off frequency of the filter for each note played over time. In addition, the ADSR envelope can also be used to affect the VCO pulse width modulation.
Own the Stage
When you’re ready to strut your stuff and get a little centerstage time, the MS-101 has that covered too! Just attach the included guitar strap and handgrip (with pitch bend wheel and a pitch modulation trigger), and take your performance to the next level. Why should singers and guitar players get all the limelight – carve out a little of your own!

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it come with rack ears |
Answer: | No, USA only - 105 -120 volts. Sorry |
Question: | Can this be used standalone as a mixer without a computer |
Answer: | Yes, it is global to all inputs. I stand corrected . It only affects the three mike/line channels. |
Question: | Can you plug RCA input into this? or is it only rca out |
Answer: | ART makes some great devices. I like this design, but I would eschew this one for the Behringer Ultralink Pro 8 Channel Splitter/Mixer Model MX882 more flexibility at a lower price. But if it is the SGX 2000 Express you are after, that's out of production but a great unit.. try Reverb.com |
Question: | Can you plug a single stereo 6.35mm cable into one of your 4 inputs, and will it stay stereo |
Answer: | Charlie, you are able to add external effects such as reverb or delay via the FX loop. You send the signal out of the MX622, and into the effect unit, then return it back thru the RETURN inputs on the MX622. Please let us know if we can assist you with anything further, thank you! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this work with USB |
Answer: | There is no USB port on the back however that does not mean that it will not work with USB. When I used it with my computer I used an M-Audio USB Midisport Uno interface.http://www.amazon.com/M-Audio-Midisport-Uno-MIDI-Interface/dp/B00007JRBM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1443972414&sr=8-1&keywords=m-audio+unoI hope this helps out. |
Question: | I am looking for a foot pedal to control a hardware synthesizer via MIDI during live performance, how sturdy is this unit for touring |
Answer: | I use the FCB1010 as virtual pipe organ expression pedals and preset voice controls. Therefore the unit is never moved. I have not had any problems. |
Question: | I want to use this with Mainstage. can the cc signals be assigned with learn mode |
Answer: | There are several editor programs online but no learn mode to speak of. I use mine to control our stage lighting. The editor programs work great. Just click on which switch/pedal you want to assign to it then send it to the pedal. For music I use my Keith McMillan 12 step since it is chromatic. I am playing bass in my current band so I have my 12 step controlling a midi loop of a moog minitaur, a micro korg xl, and a korg dw8000 from the early 80s. In other words a Geddy Lee, Rush sorta setup. The beg ringer has 10 switches and two exp pedals. They could have put two more switches on it so you could set it up for a full octave without switching banks. Okay sorry for rambling but how are you intending on using yours?? |
Question: | Can I use this to select presets from Native Instruments Guitar Rig |
Answer: | Yes. Here's an example: www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2K2VnFPkIw |

K-2
Although only produced from 1978 to 1983, Korg synthesizers have been favored by numerous world-famous artists including: Aphex Twin; Arcade Fire; the BBC Radiophonic Workshop; Daft Punk; Depeche Mode; A Flock of Seagulls; Gorillaz; Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark; Snarky Puppy and a host of others. An ultra-affordable homage to that iconic synthesizer with all the features of the original and then some, the K-2 lets you conjure up virtually any sound with incredible finesse and ease. With its pure analog signal path, dual authentic VCOs with 4 selectable waveforms each, plus extremely flexible VCF and VCA filters, the K-2 is sure to become your favorite keyboard. Owning the K-2 is like having your own personal time machine, enabling you to embrace the past – or make your imprint on the future!
Pure Analog Signal Path
Great care has been taken in engineering the K-2, including the true to the original VCO, VCF and VCA designs and pure analog circuitry with matched transistors and JFETs. This highly-focused attention to detail is what gives K-2 its ultra-flexible sound shaping capability, which covers everything from super-fat bass and lead tones to stunning effects – all the way out to the otherworldly sounds of your imagination.
Rock Right out-of-the Box!
Your K-2 comes ready to rock, thanks to its default signal routing that doesn’t require lifting a single patch cable to instantly create amazing sounds. The semi-modular architecture lets you easily tap into the inspired sounds of 1980s and ’90s progressive rock, wave, EDM and synth-pop music synthesizer tracks that made rock and roll history – or to design incredibly fat and original sounds that will make you a legend in your own right!
Versatile VCF
The very heart of K-2’s sound is its versatile 24 dB/octave filter, which lets you freely experiment with the High and Low-Pass Cutoff Frequencies and their respective peak (resonance) settings to dial in the perfect sound. The high-pass filter sets the level of signals below the cutoff frequency, effectively reducing the fundamental and lower-order harmonics levels. The low-pass filter controls the level of signals above the cutoff, which reduces higher-order harmonic content. K-2’s VCF Peak controls provide emphasis to the signals at the crossover frequency.
Vintage Oscillators
K-2’s authentic Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs) provides an incredible range of 4 variable oscillator shapes with variable pulse widths and ring modulation for the ultimate in sound creation. VCO 1 waveform choices include triangle, reverse-sawtooth, noise and pulse, where the pulse width can be adjusted from square wave to narrow across a 4-octave range (32', 16', 8', or 4'). VCO 2’s waveform can be selected from reverse-sawtooth, square, narrow pulse and ring, where both oscillators are operating. VCO 2’s pitch can also be varied independently across a 4-octave range (16', 8', 4' and 2'). The VCO Mixer allows you to adjust the levels of VCO 1 and VCO 2 to create an overall mix and a wide range of amazing effects.
The Envelope, Please...
Make that envelopes! K-2’s Low Frequency Oscillator (LFO), the Modulation Generator, features a selectable Waveform (reverse sawtooth, triangle, sawtooth) with a sweepable frequency range from 0.1 to 22 Hz – and 2 separate Envelope generators to help you craft incredible sounds! Envelope Generator 1 affects the frequency modulation via controls for Delay, Attack and Release Time, while generator 2 adjusts the cutoff frequency modulation, as well as amplitude modulation of the Voltage Control Amplifier (VCA). Dials for this generator include Hold, Decay, Attack, Sustain, and Release for unparalleled envelope-shaping control.
16-Note Poly Chain Ready
While it is a monophonic instrument (one note at a time), K-2’s 16-note Poly Chain function lets you combine multiple synthesizers for up to 16-voice polyphony – plus provides vastly improved reliability and stability over its 1970s and '80s predecessors.
Eurorack Ready
Designed to handle the rigors of life on the road or in the studio, your K-2 can easily be transferred into a standard Eurorack case for the perfect integration into your existing system.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the td-3 support usb audio - or just midi data |
Answer: | It won’t record midi data for the knobs |
Question: | Does moving its filter cutoff knob send midi cc messages that can be recorded by a sequencer, received, & played by the td3 when the sequencer plays |
Answer: | No |
Question: | Do you need to connect this to a mac or pc to use it |
Answer: | No - you can run it stand alone. It is a bit finicky and tricky to program patterns without the Behringer (included) sequencer programming tool, but if you're old school it works just like the TB 303 USED TO WORK. Step input, one note pitch and note value at a time. A pc/mac will make this easy - point and click. And then you DUMP what you created to the TD3 for playback. |
Question: | Hello! Does it come with an international power supply? (110v-220v |
Answer: | My TD-3 arrived with a power supply with an interchangeable U.S. plug adapter (100v-240v) so I think you can purchase different plug adapters elsewhere that are compatible with the power supply. Hope this helps. |

Rock Right out-of-the Box!
Your TD-3-SR comes ready to rock, thanks to its default signal routing that doesn’t require lifting a single patch cable to instantly create amazing sounds. The highly-intuitive layout lets you easily tap into the inspired sounds of 1980s and ’90s progressive rock, wave, EDM and synth-pop music tracks that made rock and roll history – or to design incredibly fat and original sounds that will make you a legend in your own right!
Versatile VCF
The very heart of TD-3-SR’s sound is its versatile 24 dB/octave filter, which lets you freely experiment with the low-pass Cutoff frequency and Resonance settings to dial in the perfect sound.
Vintage Oscillator
TD-3-SR’s authentic Voltage Controlled Oscillator (VCO) with transistor wave-shaping circuitry is ultra-easy to use and provides your choice of reverse-sawtooth or pulse waveforms for the ultimate in sound creation.
Onboard Sequencer & Arpeggiator
The onboard sequencer with 7 tracks allows you to program up to 16 steps of notes and rests and save them as a Pattern. You can record, save and recall up to 250 patterns, all of which can be stored in the 4 Groups. Your sequences can be played either in Keyboard mode, where you create and store the pattern, or Step mode which allows you to interact while composing a pattern. The onboard Arpeggiator features wide patterns you can build to provide a virtually-endless array of sound effects. Both the sequencer and arpeggiator in the TD-3-SR are fun, mesmerizing and totally addictive...
Kick it Into Distortion!
We saved one of the most exciting features for the last stage in the all-analog signal path – Distortion! When you want to add even more power to your performance, just flip the Distortion On/Off switch and dial in the perfect amount of Drive to push the “envelope” to the max. The crowd won’t know what hit ‘em!
16-Note Poly Chain Ready
While it is a monophonic instrument (one note at a time), TD-3-SR’s 16-note Poly Chain function lets you combine multiple synthesizers for up to 16-voice polyphony – plus provides vastly improved reliability and stability over its 1970s and '80s predecessors.
Controls & Connectivity
We just can’t help ourselves – like you, we're gear-heads, too. For those who want the numbers, TD-3-SR has 11 controls and 28 switches to give you direct and real-time access to all important parameters, all laid out in a highly-intuitive format that puts the joy back into your music creation. And you can expand TD-3-SR’s tone-sculpting capabilities beyond your wildest dreams by utilizing the multi-I/O patchbay to connect external devices!
Unleash Your Imagination
When it comes to not just pushing envelopes but creating them, TD-3-SR gives your imagination its voice – and it’s so very affordable. When modern performance calls for classic analog sound – it calls for the Behringer TD-3-SR!

Question: | Can this be mapped to control da vinci: resolve using contollermate |
Answer: | This device does have dedicated MIDI output, so your answer is a strong MAYBE. I don't use the controlermate software, but a quick look at it's specs says that IF you have a function map for Da Vinci, than YES, you can use this to control it. In other words, this is a MIDI controller, soit depends on the other two pieces of software working together. |
