Answer:	If I remember correctly, this kit only contains two wood screws. If you want to mount it to brick you will need a drill, mollies and screws for the mollies. If you have the drill it would only require about 50 cents at a hardware store to get the right fasteners.

Answer:	It's just a thermometer and won't keep anything from freezing. I think it will work for you. I like being able to see it from 10± feet but I'm disappointed with accuracy in sunlight. (It says 90° when it's obviously 70°)

Unfortunately, the thermometer they sent me is consistently under-reporting the temp by 12 to 13 degrees. I tried everything I could think of to remedy the situation, but to no avail. I will be putting mine in the trash.

Answer:	You should never, ever put a thermometer in direct sunlight. You are then trying to measure the temperature of the sun, and you could ruin the thermometer. Outdoor temperature always refers to the temperature of the air, which can only be measured in in the shade.

Does the temperature read correctly (more or less) even while still in the box

Answer:

They tell you in the instructions that it may have been jarred during transport and you need to get an accurate temperature to calibrate it with. There is a procedure in the manual for setting the Timex thermometer. The procedure isn't complicated and as with any thermometer you have to watch where you install it. For instance if you put it in direct sunlight or over blacktop in direct sunlight you will have high readings. Conversely, if you install it somewhere that is always cold you will have low temperatures. If you are looking for hyper accuracy you will need to spend a lot more money to get that kind of accuracy. I am looking for ball park +/- 1 degree accuracy so it works for me.

Answer:	Yes it does, but it took me a while to figure out how to switch from one to the other. To see the alternate time zone you press Start/Split, and to make it stay on the display you hold that button down until the alternate time zone sticks. Handy for me because when I go from one coast to the other it's easy to remind myself what time it is back home.

Question:	I need to hang this on an outside wall that has no overhang/covering. Will it stand up to weather (rain,heat,cold, etc.) okay
Answer:	Well mine got knocked down by heavy wind and the clear cover cracked. I took it off and Im using it without the cover for now. Bought a cheaper basic one at Target for under 15 dollars and its nicer and better built. This one is off by 3 degrees.

Answer:	You're correct. It measures a little over 13 inches. I have mine hanging on some lattice in my patio which you shouldn't do as the sun shines on the back of it and gives a false reading. Should work fine if you place it on a stable surface.

Question:	Is the display visible when not using the backlight
Answer:	Yes but poorly when you use the backlight, and it depends from what angle you are viewing it. It is excellent looking down on it from more than 10 degrees. Looking directly at it it is 90% visible. As you tilt it backward it rapidly becomes unreadable (looking up at it). I bought this to put on the wall of my rv and the backlight was completely useless

Question:	Can this be set so that it doesn't scroll through all three sensors? i only have one sensor and i'd like it to simply display that outdoor temp
Answer:	I never had a problem with that. My only problem is the remote sensor is registering the wrong temperature. When I suspected this, i brought the monitor in and put it side by side with the main unit. Was off 4 degrees. My AC thermostat said 74, the main ThemoPro unit said 74, but the remote sensor was transmitting 78 degrees. So it's pretty much useless for what I bought it for.
Question:	how far away will the remote sensor read back to the unit
Answer:	The promotion materials on the Amazon website indicate 200'; with good penetration of walls, etc. Our sending unit is located about 50' away from the receiver; hung under a carport to better protect it from the weather; and the signal must penetrate a brick wall to enter the house. We are extremely pleased with it; particularly the large display and back-lighting features; which make it easy to read from across the room by a visually-impaired person. It will probably live up to the 200' straight-line distance claim; but might be affected by obstacles in the line-of-sight; such as parked cars, trees, walls, etc. Hope this is helpful.
