| Answer: | Not with fruit trees but I was told they would stay away from the bird feeders. Wrong. I put this feeder on my back fence away from the feeders. It took those dumb squirrels forever to find it and then figure out how to open it. They were moderately successful but the raccoons went crazy over the feast they found. They cleaned out the entire feeder in one night and left the peanut shells all over the flower bed underneath it. I took the feeder down and am putting it in a rummage sale this spring. It may work for you but I'm done with it. |

| Answer: | I've never had a problem with the squirrels chewing through the plastic. I insert a deep plastic bowl (like Tupperware, or the ones made by Glad). They will occasionally chew around the edges of the bowl, but it's easily replaced. |
