Answer:	Goodness no! It's a great feeder and the squirrels love it. I would estimate that it is 8-10 inches high and 6-8 inches across and really nice cedar.

Answer:	There are 2 small staples that prevent you from removing the plastic sheet. I just pulled these out and have had no problems with taking the plastic out. Its not glass but I have had no problems. The squirrels know how to open the lid and then feed also comes out at the bottom.

Answer:	It would depend on the size of the squirrel. . . the opening for the head is probably 3 to 4 inches in diameter.
Question:	This feeder seems right for regular squirrels. But, should I consider the unicorn feeder for my zombie squirrels? Or will a chewed one be better
Answer:	My squirrels must be zombie squirrels because in one night they chewed a huge hole in the top of the horse head to get to the food!

Answer:	I don't think so. The setup requires the "victim" to be able to smell the food and be nimble enough to stick their head inside to get the food. It's mostly recommended for squirrels because they have the right flexibility. But, I'm not an expert on chickens eating out of plastic horse heads.
Question:	What do you fill it with
Answer:	Depends on your squirrel. The American Grey Squirrel prefers a mix of nuts and seed. The Southern Red squirrel likes pecans and little Guns&Ammo mags, and the Seatlle Arabica likes a Colombian Roast Coffee, no foam half caf latte. In other words, whatever the squirrels will eat. Peanuts, birdseed, etc.

Question:	Mine does not spin. Is there a special way to put in the cotter pins? I wouldn't think so but the only thing I can think of. Any suggestions
Answer:	Mine spins, no problem. I remember it was a pain in the butt to put on the cotter pin. Mine has the metal disk that holds the "arms", and the plastic oversized thumb tack that goes in the center, thru the hole in the metal arm, and held in place with the cotter pin. Maybe you got a defective one?

Answer:	No it’s just a smorgasbord for the squirrels! Sorry!

Answer:	Try putting peanut butter on the corn cobs that are not at the top. Or just be patient and don't refill the top spot til the other cobs are eaten. Both have worked for me!

Answer:	I think it was made in the U.K.? Don't have the package but I seemed to see that mark on it..? good unit. still using after a few years...

The Need for Clearance!

Remember it is the squirrel’s weight that triggers the closing mechanism. If a squirrel can reach over from a nearby foothold and avoid placing its weight on the feeder, it will be able to access the seed. Allow for at least 18 inches or 47 cm of clearance around the feeder. This will force the squirrel to climb onto the feeder triggering the closing mechanism.

Squirrel Proof

The weight of an adult squirrel automatically closes the seed ports, denying access to the seed but not harming the squirrels in any way.

Question:	Any suggestions to keep the squirrels from chewing on the table
Answer:	No, we haven’t had that problem. The squirrels haven’t chewed on the table.
Question:	Can you use Squirrelogs with this
Answer:	You may have to drill another smaller hole in the bottom of the log, because this particular feeder is mainly made for corn cobs. My advice is to look for another brand of feeder, this one is very flimsy.
Question:	Do I need to paint it to weatherproof
Answer:	It is pressure treated wood but otherwise, not protected from the elements. You can stain and waterproof it or paint it with exterior paint if you like

Question:	Does this hold squirrel logs
Answer:	If you can get a screw into a squirrel log, you can use it. Not sure of the density or texture of the squirrel log. I have used mine only for dried corn cobs, which you can screw onto the feeder.
Question:	Could this feeder be attached to a bungee
Answer:	I have mine hanging on a Shepherds Hook and it works fine. If the bungee has a hook on the end I can't see why it wouldn't work.
Question:	How to hang properly? I nailed to a tree and the little imp stole the whole thing
Answer:	Hang it on a long branch, far down the branch towards the trunk of the tree where there are multiple smaller branches the squirrel would have to drag it over to get it off the branch. Once you have it in place it is easy to empty and fill. I like this feeder far better than the one I had before.
Question:	Does this hanger have a bar across the swing part top that prevents the squirrel from removing the cob from the holder
Answer:	No - since it won’t close properly, the squirrels can get the cobs out. Mine took the cob out 3 days in a row.

Question:	how big is it
Answer:	About 6" tall and 5.5" long. It isn't terribly big; however, it is really cute.
Question:	Why was it discontinued
Answer:	At one point it was discontinued due to warehouse being out of stock. They weren't sure if they were going to be able to get the product back in. I have plenty on hand.
Question:	Would this work as a key bowl
Answer:	It could. It’s small and very lightweight so it doesn’t work well as a feeder. The animals knock it over so it would be better for something like that.
Question:	I bought this for my Mom last year and there seems to be something missing? Does this come in several pieces
Answer:	haha no. Unless it was shipped broken, it is all one piece. The seed in the picture obviously doesn't come, you fill it's little tail with whatever you want.
