Question:	What are the dimensions and does the box including the bark need to be sealed
Answer:	14” wide, 24” long, 6” thick. The bat house has 3/4” spacing between the chambers as recommended by BCI and OBC. The house is made from pine and can be left unfinished to turn a natural barn gray. To extend the life of the bat house we recommend a dark colored deck stain on the wood only. The bark requires no finish.
Question:	How do you mount it? Do you need a pole/tree
Answer:	Screws and directions are included with the bat house for hanging. You will need to provide a wooden post, metal pole, barn or building, or a tree to hang your bat house.
Question:	Can I hang it from a wooden dividing wall on my deck? Is it better to hang it under a covered area? Is direct sunlight bad
Answer:	It is best to hang in the sun as bats like it warm. The wall would be a good place to hang the bat house but remember the guano from the bats will fall out the bottom of the bat house. It would be best if it falls on the ground and not on your deck. Hope this helps.

Answer:	The darker the color the more heat the bat house absorbs from the sun. The lighter the color of the less heat the bat house absorbs.

Answer:	i live on the east coast so I am not familiar with this specific area. If this area has bats then it should work fine. It is more important to locate and mount the house in the optimal position and location to increase the odds of bats actually moving into the house.i will say this house is well made and heavier than one would expect.I just installed mine at the end of last season so I don't have bats yet but am hoping this year they will find it and move in.
