12 best lp houses
LP houses, or more likely, LP hoses, are an essential component of outdoor cooking equipment like propane grills. LP stands for liquefied petroleum, which is commonly used as a fuel source for grills and other outdoor cooking appliances. LP hoses are specially designed to connect propane tanks to grills or other devices that use propane as a fuel source.
Here are some key points about LP hoses:
Function: LP hoses serve as a conduit for the flow of propane gas from the propane tank to the grill or other cooking equipment. They are a crucial part of the fuel delivery system.
Materials: LP hoses are typically made of durable materials that can withstand exposure to the elements and the high temperatures generated during cooking. They often feature reinforced rubber or stainless steel construction to ensure safety and longevity.
Length: LP hoses come in various lengths to accommodate different distances between the propane tank and the grill. It's essential to choose a hose that is the right length for your setup to ensure a safe and efficient connection.
Connectors: LP hoses are equipped with connectors on both ends. One end is designed to attach securely to the propane tank's valve, while the other end connects to the grill's regulator or inlet.
Regulator Compatibility: When replacing an LP hose, it's crucial to ensure that the hose is compatible with the grill's regulator. The regulator regulates the flow of propane to the grill, and the hose must fit snugly and securely to prevent leaks.
Safety: LP hoses should always be checked for signs of wear, damage, or deterioration. A damaged hose can lead to gas leaks, which pose a significant safety hazard. Regular inspection and maintenance of LP hoses are essential for safe outdoor cooking.
Replacement: LP hoses may need to be replaced periodically due to wear and tear. If you notice any cracks, kinks, or other damage to the hose, it's advisable to replace it to prevent gas leaks.
In summary, LP hoses are crucial components in outdoor cooking setups that use propane as a fuel source. They play a vital role in safely delivering propane gas from the tank to the grill or other cooking equipment, and it's essential to choose the right hose, inspect it regularly, and replace it when necessary to ensure safe and efficient outdoor cooking.

Question: | What is the outside diameter of the male end? I am trying to figure out the minimum size of hole I will need to drill through my deck |
Answer: | Why don't you do what everyone else would do and measure it? Lazy. |
Question: | could i use this hoseon agenerator with duel fuel?. if not where could ifind one for agenerator |
Answer: | i have a question for your question... what DUEL FUEL? Lp and NG gas? of so, yes.... but not every device(stove, generator, refrig, etc) can handle both type of fuels they are made for either but not both. |
Question: | This hose fits the regulator but not my rv. It’s too big. Is there an adapter I could use |
Answer: | Hi, There are several adapters to fit different type of connections. The most common ones are 1/4”, 3/8 and 1/2” NPT and there are a couple of different sizes of regulators. I have no way to see which one you have or need, I’m sure if you google the RV specs. LP connector, etc. You will find the correct fitment or adapter to your needs. I wish I could help you more. Good luck! |
Question: | Are there threads on the 3/8 female end |
Answer: | I left a comment above to someone else who said that this product was 3/8” male and female ends. It is not. I purchased the product and installed it today. It is 3/8” male NPT on one end, and 1/2” female flared swivel on the other. I installed this to complete my upgrade from a single tank to a dual propane system. The 3/8” male NPT threads into the outlet of the new dual regulator, and the 1/2 female flared swivel finished the connection to the main line going into my 2016 Coachmen trailer. The 4 foot hose was more than enough. I could have gotten by with 40” to 42”. Good product, good price. |

Question: | What temperature is ideal for reading this gauge? Some gauges display hot, cool and cold day on the gauge |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work in my food trailer with 4 nurners and a griddle |
Answer: | It should. |
Question: | Why is there a rubber washer in the 3/8 flared? Does that need to be in the for this hose, or can you remove it |
Answer: | Supposedly, it's there to create a tighter seal between the regulator & the propane tank. Wouldn't recommend removing it. |
Question: | hi does anyone know if this will work with the powerland pd3g8500e tri fuel gas lpg ng generator 8.5kw 16hp. i just bought it. i'm a little nervous |
Answer: | It will probably work, but getting the right setting may be difficult. If you try it I would recommend taping the regular nob in place when you get the flow correct. Use the tank/line as a total on and off control for the propane flow. It is is very easy to turn the red knob and change the flow. Also recommend contacting the manufacturer of your generator and asking if it has a lpg regular built in, which it should since flow rates for lpg and ng will not be the same. |
Question: | I don"t see a pressure gauge how do you know how much pressure you are applying |
Answer: | Hello Amazon Customer! With these type of regulators you want to base your pressure by the performance of the flame, however if your propane appliance is pressure sensitive I recommend going with our regulators that have gauge. 2120: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GRFTR4S 2123:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GR9T2H3 Thank you! -Gas One |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work for a 17” Blackstone Griddle |
Answer: | I don’t see why not. After all pretty much all gas lines are universal with the pipe threading. I don’t know much of the griddle that you have. Unless it’s a very special grill it should work. |
Question: | Is the quick connect universal with other propane quick connects ? Is their a LP industry-std |
Answer: | I believe it is? It fits all my standard stuff and travel trailer. |
Question: | Can i connect 2 hoses together for more length |
Answer: | I am inclined to say "yes". However, it might depend on the BTU demand of your grill, stove, heater, or fire pit. The longer the hose, or connected hoses, the increased friction and potential for pressure or volume losses. |
Question: | What male quick connect adapter fits the female side of the hose? I purchased a 1/4" threaded quick connect male adapter but it does not seem to fit |
Answer: | Ok it depends on what kind of stove you are using I had to get one that fit a black stone grill I did the same thing you did I thought they all were standard fittings |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this regulator supply enough propane to my Blue Flame 30,000 btu heater |
Answer: | I purchased for outdoor stand up heater, works great, regulator on top allows you to control volume for high flame if needed. |
Question: | It says 0-10 psi and 0-20 psi, which one is it? I don’t care if the label say 20, what’s the actual rating? Thank you |
Answer: | It is capable of regulating up to 20 psi. If your burner or grill needs more pressure you can adjust it. Normally the pressure is from 5-10 psi. The actual rating out of box is 0-10 but can be adjusted to 20 psi.,by the regulator. |
Question: | Will this allow me to attach a regular size butane bottle to a campsite stove? I’m trying to avoid the small green butane bottles that come w it |
Answer: | No it will not. You will have to have an adapter where the green propane bottle connects. Amazon has them available. |
Question: | Is the hose on the outlet side of the regulator crimped or threaded |
Answer: | At the outlet of the regulator, they are pressed together by the extrusion of the machine. Normal pulling and use have no influence on him. We have done many experiments, please rest assured |

User questions & answers
Question: | does this work for a weber grill |
Answer: | There are many weber grills. It is better to be specific. For Q series, this works but only after some modifications. I had to remove the pressure regulator on the grill because RV/Trailer already has a pressure regulator. Propane will not flow into the grill if you have two regulators. Then i had to buy a fitting to connect this hose to the grill once the grill’s pressure regulator was removed. The fitting is Lasco 17-4627 https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008E5CN9E Now the grill works off my travel trailer’s propane outlet. |
Question: | Can you remove the flare fitting |
Answer: | No you can not |
Question: | Can this be hooked up to a coleman 2 burner stove? From Rv to stove |
Answer: | I hooked up my propane fire pit from my motor home. No adapters were needed |
Question: | more specifically then, Coleman stove that uses the little propane bottles, will this work? still getting two different answers, camper is a wolfpup |
Answer: | If your camper has a pressure regulator then your grill will not work because it also has a pressure regulator. Two of them will not allow gas to flow. You can remove the pressure regulator from the grill. Then depending on the connection point of your grill, you need to get a fitting to connect this hose (example 3/8” flare which connects to the hose by 1/4 female or whatever is the size for your grill after you removed its pressure regulator). Do not forget to apply proper pipe thread sealant for connections. My grill is weber q200 (also small propane tank) and the proper adapter was Lasco 17-4627. Works well. |

User questions & answers
Question: | In the description it indicates it doesn't work with a tabletop blackstone. I didnt see this and can confirm it doesn't. Is there an adapter |
Answer: | You want this to connect a 17" or 22" Blackstone griddle to the trailer's quick-disconnect. https://amzn.to/3kqpuUC |
Question: | Require 1"x20 male throwaway thread on opposite end of hose from 1/4" quick connect. photo of item shows female fitting. Help |
Answer: | It is a 3/8 female that is standard for bbq’s and fire rings. |
Question: | Does hose have enough capicity to run a 3000 w generator |
Answer: | Yes it is what I use mine for without any problems |
Question: | Should you have a regulator between the propain tank and bbq pit? thanks |
Answer: | If you are using this hose on an RV, your RV should already have a regulator installed near the propane tanks. Most RV's will have the gas supply line for the hose connection after the regulator and will not need another one. However, if your RV is not pre-equiped with a gas supply line and you are connecting directly to the propane tank then yes you will need a regulator in between the tank and bbq. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will it work for a 1 stove (camp stove) along with 8 0z Canister? If not any adapter suggestions please. i prefer to use the 15 feet speration, please |
Answer: | YES |
Question: | I bought this hose but the nut is too big to attach to my firepit. Do you have any recommendations on the kind of adapter I need |
Answer: | The hose has a flare fitting generally 3/8". Any hardware should be able to give you an adapter from 3/8" flare to what ever your fire pit has, (probably 3/8 Male pipe thread, maybe 1/2 pipe thread). |
Question: | is there a reason this wouldn’t work with a 100lb propane tank? It seems odd that the product overview says 5-40lb tanks |
Answer: | It will not work on a 100lb popane tank because it has a low volume regular on the hose |
Question: | is there a reason this wouldn’t work with a 100lb propane tank? It seems odd that the product overview says 5-40lb tanks |
Answer: | I puchased for 100# tank, but haven't hooked them up yet. From all the posts I read, it seemed to me that about 15' was about the max distance you could run without having problems. It gives you a good distance between your igition source and the tank; and I thouht the braided line would hold up better than the rubber hose; and this was the best price I could find anywhere. |
