Answer: | Not difficult. The racks, drip pan and chip box come out and can be cleaned in your sink or dishwasher. The inside of the smoker is gradually "cured" by the smoke and will take on a dark coating. You can clean this like you would an oven, but you really don't need to. I do recommend that you clean the smoke coating from the glass window each time so you can see the meat cooking. This can be cleaned with soap and water, or with a non abrasive cleaner. Be sure to get all of the cleaner off the smoker so you don't have any issues with the cleaner adding unwanted flavors to the next cooking. |

I usually stick with 10-12lb turkeys and get as close to equal weight as I can. |

Question: | Can you make jerky with this smoker |
Answer: | I'm not sure. I have never made jerky but imagine it involves low/medium heat. If that's all it takes then this will do it. If it involves smoke then go to another smoker. If it requires higher heat, say 300 deg. or more, then skip this one. My smoker "smokes" only up to 250 deg and gives almost no smoke. Wish I had bought a well known brand that had a valued name. For most things involving barbeque skip this one. |

Answer: | The cos-330 is an electric smoker. The cos-244 is a propane smoker. |
