Answer:	Yes it will kill stumps you have to put it on right after cutting the tree. You don't have to drill holes, "paint" it on the cut part of the stump full strength. I have been doing this for years. This is essentially like spraying the leaves, (for the post emergent guy).

Answer:	Haven't used Ortho's product. We have a pond fed by run off, lot's of wild life and pets so we opt for some amount of "touch up" spraying mid summer if we get some late rains. We like the Glyposate environmental safety record so far, and feel it's worth the effort.

Answer:	I bought it to kill that nasty mesquite that plagues my ranch in east Texas. I used 24 oz. with 104 oz. of diesel in a 2 gallon container for each spraying. That 20 percentage is probably way too strong, but it effected the stalks I sprayed in about three days. The leaves turned from bright gree to yellow as they wilted and the plants were quite dead in a few weeks. That mesquite is quite hardy, so I would think you can use Remedy in the percentages as recommended for lesser plants.
Question:	Is this effective for large trumpet vines and do I just mix with diesel fuel and paint cut stumps

Answer:	You would have to ask the company that question. Tablespoon or two of Dawn dishwashing liquid works fine or another brand of your choice. Surfactant (soap) will cause the product you are using to stick and stay on the weed leaves or blades longer producing a better kill.

Answer:	Sumac like poison ivy its cousin is a woody plant and typical weed killer (broadleaf, crabgrass etc) won't work. I use Round-up's poison ivy specific formula and it works great. Cheaper is Brush-B-Gone which you buy and mix from the concentrate yourself. Both are very effective against these nasty poison ivy family thins. Just be very careful about overspray-- it will absolutely kill adjacent plants you may want.
Question:	how much do I mix per gallon of herbicide/water
Answer:	I purchased the surfactant product to use with Drive XLR8 Herbicide. The mixing volumes for the surfactant and herbicide per gallon of water are listed in the label directions. As I recall, the surfactant amount was 1 ounce/gallon and the herbicide was 2.5 ounces/gallon. You should google the surfactant product and check for a volume listing. Good luck!

Answer:	You will need to spot treat the weeds as well before seeing results. Use a one gallon hand pump sprayer with a few glugs of the chemical, then fill the rest with water. Good luck!

Answer:	This will work well with most broadleaf weeds, including poison ivy. Watch in a few months: Poison ivy has a strong root system that might survive first application of herbicide. Glyphosphate will do the job too. It will kill anything green.
Question:	I understand that this product is also recognized as being "Agent Orange
Answer:	It was half of the concoction. The other was 2,4,5-t which is now a restricted use product and can only be bought with a license.
Question:	Is this product safe for use on St. Augustine lawns
Answer:	2, 4-D is a generic broad leaf weed killer found in almost all broadleaf herbicides. Since St. Augustine is a grass (and not a broadleaf), 2,4-D will not kill it. However, if used again and again in a particular location, it will eventually kill the St. Augustine which is what I experienced in a small patch which had oxalis (yellow sorrel) weed. I later found out from Texas A&M that oxalis, albeit a broadleaf, is very, very hard to kill since it has underground rhizomes which regenerate the weed even if it appears to have been killed. Their recommendation for a broadleaf weedkiller a homeowner could use (i.e., you don't have to have a applicator's license) was $64.99 for 2 ozs, so I passed. Think I'll try to hand dig my oxalis.

Answer:	only if you put some weed killer of some kind in with it. I too live in Arizona. Cacti are best eradicated with just a shovel, they have very shallow root systems and are easy to up-root. You have to deal with the dead ones either way, if you spray them or dig them up. best to burn them in a barrel, load them with a pitchfork.

Answer:	If used according to directions, it's safe for lawns. I've used it on mine and while I don't have kids, I do have dogs. You do have to be careful to keep the spray away from trees and shrubs. Milestone is designed to kill broad leaf vegetation which includes most trees, but it does not kill grass. The toxicity is very low; Milestone is the only herbicide I know of that does not require any precautions for use around livestock (and I am very careful about using herbicides around my horses). However, unless you have a very large lawn, you may find it too expensive. When correctly diluted, one bottle goes a long, long way.
Question:	Do you need a license to purchase this
Answer:	The product says it is not restricted, but my Cornell Coop representative has notified me that in NY a license is required. He was surprised I had obtained the product.

Answer:	Does a great job killing Canadian thistle. I use 7ozs for my 24/25 gal tank. I also spot spray with Weed B Gone on Canadian thistle

Answer:	Milestone label does not list a particular waiting period following use, for seeding grasses. Fescue is generally one of the most vigorous grass plants and the inquirer shouldn't have a problem. The rule-of-thumb is to wait a couple weeks before reseeding grasses, following broadleaf herbicide spray.

Tenacity herbicide can be used for pre- and post-emergence control of more than 46 broadleaf weed and grass species. Its active ingredient, mesotrione, is based on a naturally occurring compound produced by the bottlebrush plant (Callistemon citrinus) that inhibits photosynthesis in susceptible plant species. It is absorbed by plants through the roots, shoots and leaves and distributed throughout the plant by both xylem and phloem translocation. Question:	How much lawn will this 8oz bottle cover? We have .3 of an acre
Answer:	The 8 oz bottle will produce 96 gallons of solution using 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water. I forget what the coverage is but it will certainly cover .3 acres using a pump sprayer.I have been using mine on my .5 acre for two years and I have only used about 1/3 of the 8 oz.
Question:	Anyone know how tenacity compares to a product called "dismiss"? i have some nutsedge to get rid of and i'm trying to decide which to get. thanks
Answer:	tenacity is labeled for nutsedge. . Dismiss is the the better choice, however. Usually with tenacity, you have to apply it at least two to three times, at two week intervals. They are both broad spectrum. Tenaciity's claim to fame is its ability to kill grassy weeds, like Nimblewill. They are both labeled for Goose grass. I don't think Dismiss is labeled for Nimblewill. PS: spectricide makes a good 4 way for the home owner. It has 24d, dicamba, quinchlorac, and sulfantrazone (dismiss). spelling. they sell it on amazon and lowes.
Question:	can i apply over
Answer:	The official answer is no for most herbicides. Depending on what you're trying to control. Here is a link to one of the best reports I have found - http://archive.lib.msu.edu/tic/golfd/article/2012oct33.pdf. This report shows great results with mid-80 degree temperatures in the control of POA ANA (Which is what I'm challenged with controlling). The general rule of thumb with Tenacity is the higher the temperatures the more applications (small dosage) needed for control. Tenacity has a half-life of 5-15 days depending on the temperatures - the higher temperatures the lower the half-life. The report and other reading also indicates that Tenacity needs to stay in the plant at or above the half life levels for ~ about 14 days or so to gain a high level of control. My advice would be to look for a week when temperatures are expected to average below 90 degrees and make a couple applications during that week and observe the control that you achieve - then goo from there. I experimented for a couple seasons using this report to get a feel for the best application frequency, rates, temperatures and timing (time of year). I hope this is helpful. Question:	what is surfactant? Is it included with tenacity
Answer:	A surfactant is a separate product that you add to your applicator tank. It helps the Tenacity stick to leaf blades and better kill the weeds. I used Bonide Turbo spreader sticker. It, or something similar is available in small bottles in garden centers. The ratio I used for nimblewil was 1 teaspoon of Tenacity and four teaspoons of surfactant per 1 gallon of Water.

Question:	Does this product come with the measuring syringe
Answer:	Yes it does, but it’s very hard to read when filling and it’s cheap, I would plan on a measuring cup or something else
Question:	Is Tenacity safe to use on cenipede grass
Answer:	I put it on mine and it seemed to do okay. Just be careful and get the blue dye that is sold with it so you can see the application you put it on. Only go over the area one time where you are trying to kill the weeds. There are some 'youtube' videos that explain how to use this in case you are not aware of them.
Question:	Why is this vender so overpriced
Answer:	Tenacity is a professional product. If you can find Tenacity at a better price, go for it. It's not overpriced here... It's just not cheap anywhere.
Question:	Does this work on clover
Answer:	Yes it does. There is a You Tube tutorial about this product and how to use it. Look up Silver Cymbal, a yard guy.
