SpeedZone excels in cool-weather weed control so applications can be made earlier in the spring and up to a killing frost in the fall. Rain-fast in as little as three hours, there is less concern about weather interference. With SpeedZone you can reseed in two weeks. A low-odor formulation, SpeedZone can be applied without raising unnecessary concerns over pesticide applications. SpeedZone is highly selective in established cool-season and warm-season turfgrasses. SpeedZone has a CAUTION signal word and good toxicological, environmental and ecological properties compared to standard herbicides. When you use SpeedZone, your clients will see the fast results within days, thus reducing the number of "call backs". * Fast weed control * Outstanding broadleaf weed control for turf * Visible activity in hours * Effective, fast-acting cool-weather product * Clover control in as little as 1 week * Rain-fast in 3-4 hours * Reseed in 1 week * CAUTION signal word * Low-odor formulation

User questions & answers

Question: Can it be used on new fescue grass? How long until after you seed can it be used
Answer: It can be used on fescue. It should be mowed several times before using any herbicide and never apply above temps of 90 degrees. Any new grass is rather weak, until it has a good root system. The longer you can wait, the better it will be for the new grass.
Question: IS IT SAFE ON MARATHON AND TALL FESCUES GRASS
Answer: I live in Southern California and use this on my Marathon to kill everything else in the grass (particularly Bermuda and clovers). It works great. I really recommend using a stronger concentration than recommended, about 2x. Be sure to turn off your sprinklers for 72 hours after spraying and don't spray on an overly hot day. I spray in the Spring and Summer. It isn't really necessary except spot treatment in the Fall and Winter. Good luck!
Question: does this product have an expiration date ? How long can you store the product and will remain effective
Answer: I took a look at the two bottles that I have. They do not have expiration dates on them. They do have lot numbers. Generally, herbicides and insecticides have a very long shelf life, but keep them sealed up so they do not change the dilution properties from evaporation.
Question: Will this kill nutsedge
Answer: I had a field 150’ x 100’ of random weeds and lots of burr clover with spike balls in my back yard. This killed all of the weeds - every type and left the few small patches if real grass still alive. No idea about nutsedge but I won’t purchase any other product. This was highly recommended from a gardener and it killed everything but the grass, and I had some big ugly weeds with thorns and the spike balls.

Product description

T-Zone broadleaf herbicide provides exceptional control of broadleaf weeds in cool-season turfgrasses including: Kentucky Bluegrass, Fescues, and Ryegrasses . T-Zone contains four active ingredients including triclopyr ("T"), which is the top ingredient for hard-to-control weeds. This triclopyr combined with the chemical sulfentrazone also found in T-Zone can cause fast-acting results visible in as little as hours. Total weed death usually even occurs in 7 to 14 days. Hard-working triclopyr, when combined with fast-acting sulfentrazone and precise ratios of 2,4-D and dicamba, provides premium weed control. The reduced-solvent formulation of TZone SE effectively penetrates the cuticle to control even the toughest broadleaf weeds, including wild violet, ground ivy, black medic, oxalis, clover, spurge, speedwell, and lespedeza. T-Zone affects multiple sites within broadleaf weeds with symptoms including rapid leaf and stem curl, twisting, yellowing and browning. Question: Does this spray work on tennesse grasses
Answer: This works well for warm season grasses
Question: Will this help with khakiweed(stickers
Answer: This ish works on everything! It even eradicated my spurge situation even though it wasn’t specifically listed to do so. I’m not sure about khakiweed (stickers), but I’d go to it for any undesirable weed I had and expect great results.
Question: Does this kill creeping beggarweed
Answer: The stuff is amazing! I am not sure exactly about beggarweed, but it killed my creeping Charlie and crab grass in 3 doses. And the grass looks great. I say get it!!
Question: how effective is this on wild violets.?Is it too late in the year to apply it? I live in Wisconsin
Answer: I am sorry, I don't know. I have never used it on wild violets. But its worked on everything I have sprayed it on and it doesn't kill my grass. I also don't know about the time of year but these sprays seem to work best when the weeds are growing - like in the spring and early summer.

Product description

Q4 Plus Herbicide contains four active ingredients: Quinclorac + Sulfentrazone + 2,4-D + Dicamba. Q4 Plus offers the professional turf manager more knockout power and the speed associated with Gordon’s line of ProForm? products. Q4 Plus contains 0.75 lbs./acre of quinclorac for enhanced control of grassy weeds such as crabgrass and foxtail. User questions & answers

Question: Will this kill sandspurs
Answer: Betasan kills sandspurs/grassburs but you have to spread it in certain times of year and it takes two applications. Here in south-central Texas you spread it in mid-March then again about the first of May.
Question: Is product okay to use when pets and children will be in lawn in the days following application
Answer: Label says it’s ok after it dries, around 6-10 hours. I try to wait till next day.
Question: Can I use this product on st Augustine grass
Answer: I don't know for sure, is it listed on the label?
Question: How does this compare to 2-4D? Planning on buying one or the other
Answer: This product works better with ivy type of weeds like creeping charlie. The key is the Mecoprop (methylchlorophenoxypropionic acid often referred to as MCPP). Almost all commercial herbicides contain 2-4D & Dicamba for general broadleaf mitigation but mecoprop is only included in products that are for control of surface creeping weeds such as clovers, chickweed, lambsquarters, and ivy. The formulary in this product (the active ingredients) is the same as Weed-B-Gon Max and Triplet.

User questions & answers

Question: How much lawn will this 8oz bottle cover? We have .3 of an acre
Answer: The 8 oz bottle will produce 96 gallons of solution using 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water. I forget what the coverage is but it will certainly cover .3 acres using a pump sprayer.I have been using mine on my .5 acre for two years and I have only used about 1/3 of the 8 oz.
Question: Anyone know how tenacity compares to a product called "dismiss"? i have some nutsedge to get rid of and i'm trying to decide which to get. thanks
Answer: tenacity is labeled for nutsedge. . Dismiss is the the better choice, however. Usually with tenacity, you have to apply it at least two to three times, at two week intervals. They are both broad spectrum. Tenaciity's claim to fame is its ability to kill grassy weeds, like Nimblewill. They are both labeled for Goose grass. I don't think Dismiss is labeled for Nimblewill. PS: spectricide makes a good 4 way for the home owner. It has 24d, dicamba, quinchlorac, and sulfantrazone (dismiss). spelling. they sell it on amazon and lowes.
Question: can i apply over
Answer: The official answer is no for most herbicides. Depending on what you're trying to control. Here is a link to one of the best reports I have found - http://archive.lib.msu.edu/tic/golfd/article/2012oct33.pdf. This report shows great results with mid-80 degree temperatures in the control of POA ANA (Which is what I'm challenged with controlling). The general rule of thumb with Tenacity is the higher the temperatures the more applications (small dosage) needed for control. Tenacity has a half-life of 5-15 days depending on the temperatures - the higher temperatures the lower the half-life. The report and other reading also indicates that Tenacity needs to stay in the plant at or above the half life levels for ~ about 14 days or so to gain a high level of control. My advice would be to look for a week when temperatures are expected to average below 90 degrees and make a couple applications during that week and observe the control that you achieve - then goo from there. I experimented for a couple seasons using this report to get a feel for the best application frequency, rates, temperatures and timing (time of year). I hope this is helpful. Good luck and all the best.
Question: what is surfactant? Is it included with tenacity
Answer: A surfactant is a separate product that you add to your applicator tank. It helps the Tenacity stick to leaf blades and better kill the weeds. I used Bonide Turbo spreader sticker. It, or something similar is available in small bottles in garden centers. The ratio I used for nimblewil was 1 teaspoon of Tenacity and four teaspoons of surfactant per 1 gallon of Water.

Answer: A week to two weeks depending on temperature. Like any weed the harder and faster it is growing the harder and faster it will die. Va. Buttonweed is a very hard weed to control, it seeds on top of the ground and in the ground at the same time. Spraying early before it blossoms and keeping it sprayed through the season will show up next year as less to spray, but controlling buttonweed to near eradication is a multi-year endeavor. This product works the best in my experience for buttonweed and is really good on wild garlic/onion.
