Answer:	Because of our lower water pressure I have only used the narrow strip pattern once. The spray reached to about 12 feet.

Answer:	It depends on which setting it's on. Some of the spray settings would naturally cover the area the hose is attached to. I mostly use the rectangular or semi-circular pattern; I hold the sprinkler on the hose side but away from me while I put it in position. Normally the spray does not spray back on me when I set the sprinkler down.

Answer:	Sorry, I do not know, but I can say that it does work quite well. I am happy with the purchase as I am able to adjust the sprinkler pattern to both wide and narrow portions of the lawn.

Answer:	I have fairly low water pressure because I live in an older neighborhood, pipes circa 1920's. The sprinkler works good for me. I have tried sprinklers that have a rotating sprinkler head and my pressure was too low to rotate the head properly. Since there are no rotating parts with this sprinkler it works well; it may not have the same coverage that it would have under higher water pressure but it works really well for me. Answer:	Yes the upper sprinkler part is easy to replace and can be purchased at most stores that carry garden equipment.

Answer:	You can have full 360 rotation by lifting the metal tab that normally engages with the stops on the sprinkler head. That tab moves with the sprinkler head and if you lift up on it, positioning it from a vertical to horizontal, the sprinkler head will no longer engage with the stops and travel a full 360 degrees
Question:	How many gallons per hour does the head deliver? How long does it take to put 1 inch water on a circle
Answer:	For a very rough estimate you would want to figure out your area to be covered by using (pardon the lack of proper symbols) Pi*R squared. Then you want it to be one inch deep so 1/12= 0.83333 and then there is approximately 7.48 gallons of water contained in a cubic foot. Lastly calculate the flow rate of water out of your house per minute, which will probably be 17-23 gallons per minute. An example for 300 hundred square feet would look like this. 300*0.8333=2525*7.48=187 gallons of water to cover 300 square feet under 1 inch of water. Since it would be incredibly difficult to calculate the flow rate and coverage of the sprinkler we will have to guess and use the flow rate number as a guide. The flow rate out of the sprinkler will be lower so if you had a flow rate of 18 gpm I would reduce it by a third, giving you approximately 12 gallons per minute.187 gallons / 12 gpm would give you 15.58 minutes or approximately 15m 35s. Answer:	There are a couple adjustments for spray pattern screw, and distance by a push-down tab. Depending on how you set it up it should soak well into your flower beds. However, I as a Master Gardener don't recommend overhead watering for any flowers or veggie garden. I bought this lawn sprinkler for grass areas of my yard. No issues, has performed well using the adjustments for distance and coverage. My opinion - you may have to adjust to your specific area. One size doesn't fit all. I like it.

Answer:	I haven’t a clue what the gph rate is as I’ve never checked my meter. The slower the flow of water, the smaller the circle of distribution. The sprinkler has several adjustments so specific areas can be isolated. These are very nice and seemingly durable sprinklers. I am very pleased with the performance. I have not noticed a significant increase in water consumption on my bill and I have had to use them for many days in a row.

Answer:	The vertical appendage,( normally positioned between the 2 horizontal appendages), will flip upwards, out of the way of the 2 horizontal appendages. Just flick the vertical app. upwards. The horizontal appendages can also be adjusted to accommodate the width of coverage, (you will need to flip vertical appendage down, in between the horizontal apps.) If this explanation is not clear, just put on some swim trunks, hook to hose, sit down behind unit, and flip, flick away all wire looking appendages and you'll be a pro within 1 minute. Everything is adjustable for one reason or another...just play around with it. Don't be embarrassed...it took me awhile to get it also and then I trained my neighbors...Good luck. P>S> They don't last that long either, especially if they get a lot of use.

Question:	Is the tractor itself made of cast-iron or plastic
Answer:	It is cast metal, either iron or aluminum. The weight of the tractor body makes me think it is cast iron.
Question:	Used 3 times and it won't move anymore ? Help
Answer:	If you can spin the sprinkler arms and the wheels move it may be a waterflow issue. Check the screen at the tractor and at the hose end if there is one. If the wheels do not move make sure the button on the bottom is all the way out. Hook up the hose put the transmission in high and watch the tractor. if it tries to move but falls back the transmission is probably not fully in one of the gears or the stop button may be partially pushed in. If it stopped all at once my bet is the stop button is not all the way out. if it tries to move but is jumpy the gears may be stripped but I doubt it. Mine pulls 70' of 5/8 hose easily up a 2% grade.
Question:	does it have plastic or metal gears
Answer:	The Nelson also has plastic gears. This is the main short coming. If you use long heavy duty hoses, the gears will strip out; that is what killed my Nelson. You can get replacement gears, but for long stretches, best to use lighter hose.
Question:	If using two 50 foot hose sections, will the connectors cause the sprinkler to stop
Answer:	It could, it depends on how big the connectors are.

Adjustable Speed Control for Precise Watering

Question:	What distance does the water spray
Answer:	Been using this for quite some time. It is bullet proof obviously from the cast iron. Couple experience comments: First the bas of this and the round version is a little small so getting it to sit on the lawn flat is a small hassle. Second, the water output for this and the round version is high in terms of gallons per minute BUT the diameter or spread is a little on the small side. Basically you are watering a small area, 14'sq(?), but the g.p.m. are high so your putting a lot more water down in a smaller space. 30'wide lawns will require moving this more and high gpm means move more often. Looks to last a life time. Maybe a little grease in the hose/sprinkler threads to reduce rust?
Question:	Is this cast iron circular spot sprinkler made in the u.s.a.? if not where

Answer:	If they have the same pads as the Milwaukee M-18 one the answer is, No.
Question:	My yard has a fairly steep hill which slopes down from the spigots. How steep of a hill can this thing handle
Answer:	I don't know about your Ryobi, but they are about a 1/4" too small for my Craftsman multi tool. Better measure your "hooked" sanding head.
Question:	Does the 2 year manufacturer warranty not cover the gear/drive assembly if it goes out before the warranty is up
Answer:	Doesn't glue on if that's what you need. It was useless for me.
