They shrink (shorten) when the pressure declines and then grow (lengthen) when you start using it. The inner pressure of the water controls the length of the hose and it doesn't take very much pressure to bring it to full length. |

| Answer: | It will fit, but you will need a larger capacity reel. To give you an idea, it fills about 90% of the reel I bought, which is rated for 250 ft of hose. That rating is probably assuming 1/2" hose, so the 3/4" obviously takes up more room. It is not hard to wind on the reel (though that may vary from one reel to the other), but I would not consider this a hose that you would want to coil off of a reel. If you did, it would have to be large coils. |

| Answer: | My experience was has not been good with this hose. It kinks as bad if not worse than any other house I have had. It's not as flexible as they advertise either. Also, about a month after I got it a leak developed around where the faucet connecter hardware meets the hose. I don't drag it across concrete so not sure about that but I definitely would never buy another one of these hoses. |

Diameter of 'feeder hose' 1/2" or 5/8" or 3/4" and Length of feeder hose . . . these two variables PLUS water pressure WILL determine the volume of water . . . another minor variable to consider. . . the volume of water out flow at the 'beginning of the soaker hose will be MORE than at the end of the length of soaker hose. There is "Friction Loss" of water volume is inherent in ALL 'piped' water and increases reducing water volume with smaller hose diameters and increasing hose lengths. There are formulas / rule of thumbs that are used mostly by firemen/women. None of this takes into account the porosity of the soaker hose. . . . SO what to do. . . just get some hose, couple it up and measure the output over a given time frame. . . I know it hurts the brain. |
