(I didn't realize what a difference this would make!) 2) The heat press is HEAVY. I want a lightweight iron for ironing clothes, but want pressure (which weight provides) for heat transfer designs. 3) This heat press has a timer. I've been amazed how much better my work turns out when I'm a little more careful about the timing. These are the three major advantages I've found in using a heat press over my iron. Answer:	I find it very stable. Most of the time one side is full and “cooking” while I am filling the other side. If you need to you could put sand bags on the base. Here in California I get 2 buckets of lovely soil from one side very 3 to 4 weeks

Answer:	I made 2 batches so far. The 1st I filled 3/4 full and let it sit. Over time the pile lessened to about 1/2 as it composted. I filled the 2nd chamber full and am waiting for it to do its work...after 2 weeks it’s still pretty full, although it has decreased, and continues to compost.

Question:	Is this product made from Ultravoilet [UV] rays protective plastic
Answer:	Once it's done we like to let it sit for a month or longer, but have used it right away before. We will add it to our raised bed gardens along with organic manure, mix well and let it sit a few weeks before planting. We do live in Phoenix, Arizona, so our compost breaks down faster.

Answer:	Yes.... although loading with a bucket would work best (easier). I shovel peat and ground up leaves into the composter from a wheel barrow. Unloading into a wheel barrow? No. taking off a lid and turning it over would work best..... turn over, dump out, and then load into a wheel barrow with a shovel,

Answer:	My family raised nightcrawlers when I was a kid for vacation money. We put them in a big wooden box. My concern with the composter is that it has vents. When you rotate it, some dirt will fall out, but so could the crawlers. I'd add the compost to a different container with the nightcrawlers. My opinion.

Answer:	I have struggled empting it - I did the same with a plastic tarp. Be careful putting a pitch fork or shovel in the bin - the plastic around the rim is not that strong and will split if it is pushed against.

Question:	How sturdy is this item? Will it fall over in a strong wind? I live where the winds blow fairly hard at times
Answer:	I actually toss a little bit (maybe 6 cups) of soil from my garden in my compost when starting it out and it seems to give it a good kick. Just add 50/50 green and brown material with it and it will take off. Make sure to check it often if it gets sunny outside. Compost seems to dry out fast when it's hot, due to bacteria and fungus using a lot more water when it gets hot.
Question:	where is it made
Answer:	I keep adding to my compost all winter. I just don't turn it over as often, maybe once every 2 weeks or so. While nothing will "cook" during the winter, you'll have fresh material on standby for when it does start to warm up. I suppose my only tip would be to make sure you add material to it during the daytime and make sure your composter stays in a sunny spot. The door can freeze "shut" at night due to the lower temperatures and any moisture along the track.I've already been through one winter with it and I sincerely had no issues and didn't have to make any changes to the way I used the tumbler.
Question:	at what point do I stop putting waste in and stop so it fully composts? There seems to be a lack of info about the transition
Answer:	You have to assemble it. I brought it about a year ago and put off trying to put it together until yesterday, because of all the reviews saying it was difficult. I didn't find it hard to figure out how to do it , and thought the instructions that came with it did a good job of showing you how to do it . It was time consuming because you have to put in 57 small screws with the nuts. I'm a woman, 76 years old with no especial insight on assembling things. It looks like it will do a good job for me.

Answer:	NO, NOT AT ALL. Compared to actual bear-proof stuff, this lightweight plastic thing is like playdough. It's not pretending to be otherwise. Bears require heavy metal and tricky locking mechanisms--and, even so, they still break open car doors and trunks. Answer:	Compost tea is made from finished compost, so yes. Dripping liquid from the composting process is called leachate, and it is not the same as compost tea.
Question:	How wide is the opening
Answer:	I read that I should place the composter in a shadier part of the yard. I got my composter this last winter and located it on the north side of the house. This is a little used area so it was as much for aesthetics as it was for advise. Anyway, our winters are pretty severe. I am in a zone 5. It got down past zero this year. I did not notice much composting action until spring. I never tried the hot water bottle trick, but I did add some compost starter when I got desperate for something to happen. As soon as the weather warmed up, this composter took off and I have one side that I am using on the garden already and the other side is already halfway done. I am very happy with the composter and don't blame it for not being too effective in the winter. If I had it to do over again, I might put the composter on the sunny side of the house, but then it would bake in the summer!

Answer:	Aaron, the clearance between the absolute bottom edge and the ground is 20 inches. That would assume the you intend to pour the contents straight down. The clearance from the bottom edge of the panel with the door, assuming your wheelbarrow is along side or partly under the tumbler is 30 inches. I find this perfectly reasonable because I do not empty all the contents out at one time. In fact, not so different from a "starter" in making sour dough bread, it is useful to leave some of the contents in the tumbler.
Question:	does this come assembled
Answer:	I wish I had room in my garage or shed for mine. I have mine on my back patio and don't have any issues with odor whatsoever. I don't think it is a matter of smell at all. You may get some flies and gnats though. Just a part of composting. If it does get smelly, add some wood chips or shredded cardboard. You have too much "green matter". It is really best to mix a full load at a time so you get the right mix. If you want to continue adding kitchen scraps, start with at least 80% browns, and add the greens as you go. Keep it moist, but not wet.

Question:	Does the lid opening frame go on inside or outside? Cause directions say outside but holes won't line up
Answer:	I can't speak specifically to rats because we don't have any here but the composter is safe from squirrels, raccoons, and other suburban animals. Whether it attracts pests is usually dependent on what you put into it. As long as you're adding only plants you should be ok. Don't add meat, fats, bones, dairy, etc. Those take far longer to compost and create a much stronger smell.

Answer:	The frame is made of strong durable tubular metal. I have not experienced any problem with the frame. One of my bins is half full and the other about a quarter. Each bin turns easily and is well supported.

Answer:	Easy to put together. Each tumblers are received separated to get them together you need to put a tube in. The frame is made of 6-8 pieces, just follow the directions. It took me 15-20 min maybe, I was alone, despite it may be easier to have 1 min help when screwing the tumblers on the frame.

Answer:	My unit opens very easily. I have to clear the door occasionally of small debris that collect in the track the door uses. If yours was difficult to open day one use some sand paper on the door ( bottom and top edge) and / or the main unit track (to remove any plastic molding leftovers). This could solve the problem and be easier on you than a return. If no amount of removing burrs etc. helps the situation then a return may be necessary. Mold injection plastic is notorious for having to have its edges cleaned up a bit. This often is not done as much as is needed at the end of the manufacturing process. I regularly have to finish the job on plastic mold injection products. I love my unit. It is the perfect size for my porch and for me to pick up and empty. It does spill out small particles through vent holes... something one needs to expect and understand as part of the design.
