Answer:	I had my day old chicks with this in an enclosed type brooder box, with ventilation at the top and sides, in about 45 degree spring weather. They did fine. Not sure if warm enough for snow and colder temperatures though.

Answer:	This Vrooder is not made to use for warming mature laying hens. It is to be used as a brooder for newly hatched chicks until they don't need heat any more or until there too tall to fit comfortable under the brooder plate. There are coop heaters & heat lamps made to warm your hens fannies.

Answer:	It's Cotton material.
Question:	Does the veil unzip from the jacket or is it one piece
Answer:	The hood can be a little tricky to both get on the zipper track and then to remove. With a little patience you will find that the hood can actually be removed by unzipping it in both directions, and then recalling how to reinstall the zippers. It may a bit of trial and error but the hood does remove. I love the suit and it saved me from yellow jacket stings while mowing the lawn over their underground entrances.
