Answer:	The opening is the same size as the shampoo I bought that has a pump. You have a great idea about using a pump. I plan I doing that. It will make use a lot easier.

Answer:	I believe it helps. My German Shepherd has environmental allergies which are at their worst in winter and have been exasperated by dry flaky skin. I believe this conditioner paired with the corresponding shampoo do indeed make his skin not only less itchy but genuinely less dry and flaky. I also use the Mad About Organics anti-itch shampoo, which I think is very effective but doesn't smell great. This stuff smells delightful (to me anyway) -- sweet and almondy, but it's a light scent that doesn't stick to the dog.

Answer:	A conditioner....I use it on my white bichon/poodle after shampooing....leaves his hair soft and smells great. Massage into hair and wait a few minutes -- then be sure to rinse it ALL off.

Most of what I put in my 40 oz. bottle is Seltzer water, a soda with a pH of somewhere around 2-3.5, which is close to lemon juice, and lower than what lemon flavored water would probably be (I'm not an expert on chemistry, but know a little about pH levels). The person who said it wouldn't work either has had a bad experience due to a bad product, was misinformed, or doesn't know what they're talking about. Incidentally, coffee, while not as acidic, is still on the acid side of the pH scale and is never questioned. Lemon flavoring added to water is probably closer in pH to coffee than it is to soda. You're good to go!
