Answer:	I have both and they are almost identical! They are both great printers, but my TS9020 broke and Canon sent me the TS9120 as a replacement. The biggest difference is that they don't use the same ink, even though they both use 6 cartridges. The price for the OEM ink is the same for both, but if using compatible ink, it is much cheaper at the moment to buy the ink for the TS9020 (5 times cheaper!). Other than the regular black, yellow, cyan and magenta, the TS9020 also uses a photo grey ink, while the TS9120 uses a photo blue ink. They both use a large pigment black ink as well.

I dont often use colored ink but I have printed well over 200 sheets with black ink and it just now told me I'm running low on the black ink so I wouldn't say it's a bad deal or that they aren't full. Answer:	This ink is 100% brand new in Canon sealed individual packages within a single Canon box. When you purchase this ink, you are getting the exact colors that are supposed to be used in the corresponding printer. I have tried "refills" and found that sometimes the ink used is not the exact color needed, thus causing the final print out to be off color.

Answer:	Well...an ink container lasts me about six months, but I don't print that much. I think you could google this and find out how many one-page documents one container can print.

Answer:	the printer wont work if you don't have both cartridges properly installed. That being said, just because it has to have a color cartridge doesn't mean you have to print in color. It comes with both cartridges. Just install the ones that come with the printer. If you never print in color, then you will only have to replace the black ink cartridge. Also, you can get ink for this printer for way less than the cost of other printers cartridges. That sold it for me. The printer has worked great, and the compact design is perfect for a small space. It fits on my small utility cart with room to spare!

Answer:	You need to use the metal shields that came with the preamp. Run a simple wire from the base of the leftmost shield to the ground plug on the front of the preamp. This should get rid of the noise.
Question:	Will this printer work on Heavyweight paper 110lb/300gsm cardstock
Answer:	The U ground connector can not be used from the turntable. You have to cut it off, solder the end of the ground wire from the turntable and put it in the push connector. You can rig up something to keep the original ground connector. I soldered a wire to the U connector and put the other end in the push connector on the preamp. No idea why they designed it that way.

Answer:	According to online manufacturers specifications, the regular size should yield up to 220 pages, while the XL should provide up to 401 pages.

Answer:	Yes, you must have both cartridges in the printer for it to print. Even if one cartridge is empty of ink, it must be in place.

Answer:	I don't use it that often. It is for home use. May last me six months or more. I worry more about the cartridges drying out between uses. The bargain and refilled cartridges do that on me. That is why I buy factory made with the Canon name. These work great and do not dry up when there are long periods of not being used.
