Answer:	Generic push pins work well.
Question:	Will this rust if placed outside at a pool club? The wood ones disintegrate after a year
Answer:	It is a ferrous metal bulletin board with no obvious kind of coating on the surface. I would expect it to rust in wet & humid environments. We have ours on the side of a kitchen cabinet, where it performs admirably.
Question:	Are the edges finished in a way that it is possible to put two boards side-by-side and still have them look good? I have a 30 x 44 inch space to fill
Answer:	The metal surface wraps around the edges. I think two would look good side by side. I think it would also look good to have an inch of space between them.
Question:	Was it difficult/easy to mount
Answer:	Depends upon what you are mounting it to....if using the materials included to mount to a wall....easy. I wanted to put it on my refrigerator. No magnets came with it. I bought two 12-inch magnetic strips and glued them on the back with super glue. That was easy but it required a trip to the store. Looks great. Keep in mind that not all refrigerator fronts (ie stainless steel) are magnetic.

Answer:	I've used this type in my classroom. The best procedure I've ever found is to frame the spot on the wall with painter's tape and attach the cork tile to the tape with a glue gun. You might not be able to reuse the cork tile when removed, but the wall should be nearly flawless.

Answer:	The initial description says they are 3/8" thick, but they are barely 1/4" thick. No you cannot use standard push pins, unless you never plan to reuse the wall underneath without having to refinish it. They do not come with enough adhesive to put all 8 up, and even then they are flimsy.

Answer:	The cork area on mine measures 21 3/4 by 33 3/4. You might want to look at your map and see if you could trim its edge. That is what I did with a dry erase wall calendar decal. By mounting it on the cork board it let me easily remove and reinstall when changing the board. In your case, that would allow removal to study the map more closely.
