They make great, trustworthy supplements.However, trying the Nutriobiotic Plain protein again, I think it's a quality product with double the amount of protein in the same serving size of one tablespoon (12 g).I think the Source Naturals is consistently a finer powder to mix and Nutribiotic viscosity may alter, as it says on label, but is also fine product with all the Non-GMO, pesticides, vegan, etc. |

Worse yet, there is maca powder in here and heating that causes it to gelatinize (it is a starch, heating any starch has this effect), so you'd basically be turning it into cook and serve pudding. That may be fine if you want to eat it with a spoon, but it is not pleasant to choke down in a mug. I've found this as a side effect of blending to long in a vitamix even if I don't have frozen fruit or ice in it as it quickly heats up and thickens like paste. If you want a nice hot chocolate that is healthy for you, get some raw cacoa and mix in some honey or stevia and your milk of choice to taste ( http://amzn.to/2dRv5a2 ), just heat the milk a bit and toss it all in a vitamix and it whips up nice and frothy and delicious. |
