Answer: I think it would depend on the flooring and the chairs. I have 2 mats together on medium pile carpet for a U-shaped computer workstation with two rolling pc chairs. I need to keep a 1/8-1/4" gap between the two mats or the give in the carpet, and slight movement of the glass mats over 7-10 days, make the edges rub together for a rather unpleasant squeak. I don't know if they will move or rub on solid flooring using the included "feet".

Answer: I would think it would be too low. If you are on the shorter side, AND have an adjustable height desk, then maybe. It's not the most comfortable thing I've sat on. It's the last choice chair in my living room.

Answer: Not sure on the lip size, but I would NOT recommend the purchasing of this mat. It is made of very thin material, and slides around a lot. I am sorry I purchased this product.
