Answer:	I'm using a Neat Desk scanner to scan color pictures. By cutting and folding paper I fashioned guides on either side of the pictures to keep them square with the scanner. Resolution could be a little better, but the quality is okay for home pictures and the scanner is pretty fast and efficient.

Question:	What is the warranty if purchased through amazon
Answer:	Amazon has a 30 day return policy, they do not have a manufacturer's warranty. And reading the warranty, it's worded in such a way as to think that perhaps I don't have a warranty. There is a limited warranty on the scanner itself, but they do not have a warranty for their software and BTW, their software doesn't work, and the scanner doesn't work without the software, so I now have a $400 piece of junk that I used twice, with difficulty, that I can't return. If you are within the 30 day return policy. Return it now and check out the Fuji scansnap.
Question:	Have they made a model that is compatible with windows 10 yet
Answer:	The model I have, NM-1000 works with Windows 10. Unfortunately you have to subscribe to their cloud storage to get support. We hard drive users are called "legacy" and are not supported. We stopped using NEAT

Answer:	Yes - I scan both receipts and documents on a weekly basis. Just pulled up a couple of Walmart receipts and searched for both text and dollar amounts and it located the information.

Answer:	Either right click on the pdf and "save as" and type in the location oruse the "close" box and before the file closes it should ask to save it and one responds and saves it to the desired location.orDrag the pdf from the window and place it on the desktop and then send it or drag it to the desired location
Question:	Does this "require" an online account to use the software? does it "insist" on establishing a cloud connection? can i use w/o any internet connection
Answer:	The software requieres you to register an account for their service and they will give you a free trial. Oyer they will email you trying to make you buy the service. But you can use the scanner without the cloud service or internet connection, ONLY if their buggy software works! You can see their website with a extensive section to trouble shoot it. Mine just crashes and it's impossible to fix. I had to use other scanning app with don't works very good with NEAT.

Answer:	I'm not an expert here but thats not how I have found it... I have it connected to my computer and it scans all my documents directly to the Neat program that is on my computer.... when I open Neat on my computer and scan I can see it immediately and I do not have iCloud...

Answer:	Mine didn’t say that. Neat is a competitor and they have their own machine. My wife has one.
