Answer:	The print can be enlarged in the sense that you can "scale" the print to a particular specified size or to "fit" the paper size selected. This is done via the print driver's dialog box and options. What this can't do is increase the resolution (or amount of detail) of the image. If you're printing a very small size image and ask it to "fit" the page, the result may be unsatisfactory.

Answer:	Yes, the printer comes with a usb to usb-c cord. If your phone/tablet doesn't take usb-c you would have to get a different cord to do so. You can also set the printer up with a direct connection instead of over wi-fi.

Answer:	the printer wont work if you don't have both cartridges properly installed. That being said, just because it has to have a color cartridge doesn't mean you have to print in color. It comes with both cartridges. Just install the ones that come with the printer. If you never print in color, then you will only have to replace the black ink cartridge. Also, you can get ink for this printer for way less than the cost of other printers cartridges. That sold it for me. The printer has worked great, and the compact design is perfect for a small space. It fits on my small utility cart with room to spare!

I bought generic for my hp, it messed it up a bit, but nothing like how her Canon responded. I think they chip them to know where their own ink is being used vs a competitor.

Answer:	Yes you can. I just scanned a 5 page document using the document feeder. Worked great!

Answer:	Yes it hinges up. The rear hinges seem to be able to lift up higher than just a page, like on a book, but it definitely lifts up. I normally lift up the top to scan one or two pages vs. using the document feed.

Answer:	The 880 has touch screen fax buttons instead of physical buttons, uses different print cartridge model numbers (newer possibly) and has NFC support for phones that support. I have not used a 870 so I'm not sure if the 880s touchscreen is more responsive but usually they update the processor on refreshes.
