How Does IW2 Work?

IW2 is made up of three devices: the Interactive Pen, the Sensor Cam, and the Wireless Receiver. The Interactive Pen emits infrared signals on contact or by pressing the IPEVO button on the Pen. The Sensor Cam, which acts as the 'eye' of IW2, then reads the infrared signals emitted and detects the physical location of the Pen.

After detecting the physical location of the Pen, the Sensor Cam sends this information wirelessly via the paired Wireless Receiver (which must be plugged into the computer’s USB port) to your computer, which then translates the Pen’s motion into cursor motion. Thus, wherever you move the Pen, the computer will also move its cursor in real time, just like a wireless mouse.

Answer:	Hard to say, I received mine in August 2018 and it did not have glowing borders. The board has two sides chalk side which does not light up & the led side which does. So mine might be an older version. It's a great investment though, you're gonna have fun using it.

Answer:	I do not have a projector for this board. These boards were tested using a pc laptop. The software was downloaded and installed from the SmartBoard website, and the functionality of the boards were tested. The boards are "touch" and using the colored markers (not included but available for cheap online) drawings on the board were transferred to the laptop. Had a projector been hooked to the laptop it would have then projected the image on to the board or other screen. So, to answer your question, the only thing needed to use the board is a pc, but you will want a projector so that you can have full functionality.
