Answer:	The only calculator that I own that can take the square root of a number that is already a complex number is about 15 years old, the CASIO FX-ALGEBRA 2.0. (It can also apply trig functions to complex numbers.) I am sure that newer models are also able, but I have no need of these features, therefore I have not researched on the Internet to find one. By the way, $11.53 is a great price for the CANON calculator considering its capabilities.
