Question:	Does ukulele have aquila strings
Answer:	Please be very careful if you use the regular guitar picks they include with this bundle. If not careful, using them can scratch up the surface of the ukulele. I just put my set of regular guitar picks that came with this in my acoustic guitar case. They do make felt picks to use with a ukulele. I'm not sure why the company didn't just include one or two of those instead. They could have done away with including actual guitar picks with this and put something that was used properly with a ukulele like felt picks but I don't even see anyone using any picks with a ukulele. What they could have done was use felt ukulele picks with the included accessories or not include any picks and put an actual ukulele capo in with it. The guitar picks are not intended for the ukulele. Not normally, anyway. A capo would have made this deal even sweeter. Things they could have included with this bundle INSTEAD OF regular hard plastic guitar picks not intended for a ukulele would be: String winder (used for restringing/changing the strings - it goes over the tuners to wind them or unwind them faster, by hand) Capo - one made specifically for a ukulele and not a regular guitar Felt Picks (even though I've never seen any ukulele player use any picks)

Answer:	There are many well made videos on Youtube that show you how to carefully and properly restring it, by responsible ukulele music teachers.
Question:	how does the case open
Answer:	If you are tiny and want a uke the size of a toy, buy a soprano size. This concert size Donner is the perfect size. Not a toy at all. I do not understand how anyone with normal sized hands could even play a soprano uke because the strings and frets would be so close together. Also the sound of this concert size Donner is beautiful, not tinny, because it is a little bigger. This concert size is still small, still sounds like a uke, but more what I, as a 5' 5" 120 pound woman would consider a comfortable fit and perfect size for a uke. You will love the sound. I also have a Kala baritone uke tuned like a guitar. It does not sound like a teeny, tinny uke. But the metal frets on it cut my hands. This Donner is much better finished and they look very much alike as far as the wood. This Donner is beautiful in every way. You will love it. Have fun. Enjoy. By the way, there are youtube videos that show you the different uke brands, their size and sound. Check them out.
Question:	Would you recommend replacing the strings it comes with, or are they good
Answer:	HECK NO! You'll want a baritone uke at least! A little more seriously, baritone ukes are tuned D-G-B-E (like 4 strings of a guitar) instead of usual uke G-C-E-A. It's a good thing to know if you're coming from a guitar background. Less seriously, ONLY an electric bass can Djent! I'm afraid you are djentless, my friend.

Answer:	If i'm not mistaken, the KAA-15T is a laminated wood uke whereas the KA-T is solid wood. Buy you might want to investigate that further. My KAA-15T sounds great and for the money, is a great deal. It comes with a very nice case, tuner and a dvd(which i havent watched). For a 100 bucks its well worth it.

Question:	Does this come with a pick to play it with
Answer:	I don't know whether it's easy to convert. I'm left-handed, and my left-handed ukulele teacher advised me to learn to play right-handed as he does. It's only a little harder at first.

Answer:	I doubt it would survive a drop onto rock. It's just thin plastic.

Answer:	It comes with a light, drawstring bag that can be carried like a backpack. The material is very thin, think those reusable grocery bags. It is fine for carting around, but I don't think it would provide much protection.

Question:	When cases are claimed to be 21" does that mean its for a 21" ukes or that's the size of the case in all
Answer:	Aloha Jonathan!Thanks for your question. Yes the pick holder can be removed. It is not attached on the ukulele in the first place. And you can put it on if you want to, but you don't have to. It's just a sticker on the back, so it is easily removable and doesn't leave any mark on the ukulele. Once you attach and detach the pick holder, the sticker loses its effect. Answer:	Aloha Clyde!Thanks for your question. The ukulele is made of Sapele, which is an identical type of wood as mahogany. Our ukuleles all come pre-installed with a high G string. If you want a low G string, you need to purchase a low G string separately and replace that yourself. It's not hard to do, pretty simple. There's youtube videos on how to change strings. A tip for tuning your new Ukulele:

Are you finding your new ukulele always needs tuning every time you want to play it?

This is really common, particularly with new strings. Nylon strings take a certain amount of stretching before they settle down and hold their tune.

How to solve:Tune it to the desired note, then pull up on the string over the sound hole to give it a bit of a stretch. That'll take it down about 2 whole notes, tune it back up and repeat until it stays in tune. A lot of folks who maybe aren't used to stringed instruments, especially nylon strings, get frustrated, but don't worry, these are decent strings, they just need a good stretch!

Answer:	All ukuleles are small, and if you have larger hands, you might find the short scale of a soprano to be cramped. No ukulele could be called "too big", so try to find a shop that has all four sizes and decide which is most comfortable for you. The tenor is easy to play and has more depth and "punch", but the little soprano wins on charm.
Question:	many reviews mention instrument not holding tune. is this due to poor tuners, or just string stretch that occurs on any instrument
Answer:	Read the reviews. My wife loves hers. Mine developed a crack in the top within two weeks of owning it and I returned and swapped for a Kala KA-S. I think that my wife's less expensive Kala KA-15S has a nicer tone than mine. But yes, it's good quality. It's made of lovely wood too. A very beautiful little instrument. I recommend buying from Amazon and saving the shipping materials until you're sure you love it. Returns are free on Amazon...for a time. :)
Question:	Is the ukulele that comes with the starter kit the ka-15s because it says ltp-s on the inside of the instrument
Answer:	That's how ukuleles are suppose to be strung traditionally. Its called re-entrant and a few other stringed instruments do this as well. And most teaching material is for ukes strung that way. Don't rearrange the strings or it will be impossible to use chord the standard chord fingerings. If you want linear tuning (like on guitar) you have to by strings that say "low g" on the package. That way the finger patterns still work. But I wouldn't do this if I were a beginner because it will sound less like a traditional ukulele if you did that. Some people do that but those people are purposefully trying to create a unique sound, and they usually do it on a tenor ukulele, not soprano.
Question:	can strings be replaced when they break by standard strings
Answer:	I got one for me and my sister. Most low cost ukuleles are unplayable until you have them set up and restrung with better quality strings. Not this one. It comes ready to play out of the box, it just takes a couple weeks until the strings don't fall out of tune, but that's true of all nylon strings.

Answer:	There’s a plastic hook on one end that latches onto the opening in the center (from the bottom) under the strings. Then you put the strap loop over your head and adjust the length. The Frets

The nickel silver frets are all properly seated and well finished. For anyone familiar with guitars and stringed instruments, fret ends can be a very troubling point of contact with inexpensive instruments. BUT, these frets have been manicured to a level that there is no sensation whatsoever.

Love at first strum!

This is a great fit for any beginner or casual players to relax, express your creativity and puts a smile on many faces. You really only need to learn 4 chords and you're set to play hundreds of different & perfect island-y sound for most Disney/children songs and pop songs. It's pretty cool!

Aquila Strings

Aquila strings - are industry standard and are highly rated and recommended by most. These are the exact kind of strings a uke is supposed to have.

As with any string instrument, you'll need to tune the ukulele to the correct pitches: G, C, E, A.

Answer:	Yes, they are queit the same. As with any string instrument, with our attached Tuner, you'll easily tune the ukulele to the correct pitches: G, C, E, A.

Answer:	Metal strings will likely break the bridge (which is soft and made for nylon knots anyways) and if not, will over time bend the neck. This is also why electric ukes (with electromagnetic pickups) are so rare. You would be much better served by a mini 4-string guitar; tuned GCEA to play ukulele songs.

Answer:	Concert Ukulele The concert ukulele is the very similarly constructed big sister of the soprano ukulele. The concert uke therefore maintains many of the same stylistic features as the soprano ukulele, and sounds much more similar to the soprano than to the tenor ukulele. The concert ukulele is usually around 23 inches long; with a slightly bigger body than the soprano, which produces a somewhat richer, warmer tone. Ranch concert ukele has 18 frets, This gives the concert ukulele an extended playing range over the soprano ukulele, making it a preferable choice for ukulele soloists. Answer:	Ukuleles need specially formulated nylon strings. Aquila (brand name) utilizes patented Nyglut nylon strings. Ernie Ball strings are a monofilament nylon string. Nylon guitar strings will not work. In other words, there is no "difference"- Aquila is a brand name. The material is nylon, although uke strings are made from specific types of nylon. Before nylon, people used "catgut strings" that were made from the intestines of animals (usually not cats, though). The name Nylgut is "Nyl" plus "gut".

Are you finding your new ukulele always needs tuning every time you want to play it?

This is really common, particularly with new strings. Nylon strings take a certain amount of stretching before they settle down and hold their tune.

How to solve:Tune it to the desired note, then pull up on the string over the sound hole to give it a bit of a stretch. That'll take it down about 2 whole notes, tune it back up and repeat until it stays in tune. A lot of folks who maybe aren't used to stringed instruments, especially nylon strings, get frustrated, but don't worry, these are decent strings, they just need a good stretch!

Answer:	Yes and Yes. I mostly play it acoustically but the amp I have for it takes a standard guitar cable. These are respectable ukuleles. Even the music shop where I had them "lower" the strings to a more comfortable touch for me was surprised at the sound this little uke produces. Good luck.
