Answer: | Try both. I would run it in front first and then try it after your RP360 with the settings you use. Let your ear tell you what you prefer. This pedal has more than one use so it's a hard question to answer correctly or incorrectly. |

Answer: | If the microphone that is being considered is the dynamic type, then it can be used in this experiment and it’ll boil down to the summed frequency boost & cut subjectively being what the individual is looking for. If the microphone being considered here is the Condenser type, it is best to pass as this kind requires a phantom power source that’s usually +48v and if the reader already knows how to make the condenser microphone work here, then it’s likely that the reader has a degree in electrical engineering and can just stop reading and proceed as they already know, or should know, what I’m going to explain, lol. Now, there is one major caveat that the user will have to deal with before pursuing the experiment. Both the signal level from the microphone, aka mic, and the impedance (unless the microphone being used is high impedance to begin with...high impedance mics use a cable that has a 1/4” male plug on the end that plugs into the mixer or an amplifier of some sort-unfortunately most mics are low impedance) will have to match the usual and customary level and impedance of what is fed into the pedal, e.g., a guitar. lol. The impedance match is the most important of the considerations and a direct box (or simply DI box) converts a hi-z or high impedance signal to lo-z or low impedance signal. Most will function in the reverse if one needs to convert lo-z to hi-z. As far as matching the level of the signal, that kind of depends on the microphone. Also, the graphic eq pedal that’s the heart of this matter has the ability to globally boost or cut the signal level. Most likely that’s only applied as the signal is outgoing. The signal has to have adequate but not excessive gain (the level I mentioned earlier) and in most cases, a dynamic mic signal won’t have adequate gain, so the outgoing signal, while boosted by the pedal, will be on the noisy side because of the lack of what is called headroom. If one has access to the kind of headphone amp common to both pro and quality home studios, plug the mic first into the output of the DI, then plug a cable running from the DI’s input side into the input of the headphone amp and the last cable into the eq pedal. The output of the eq pedal cab now be run to the mixer. Look for either a mixer channel identified as Hi-Z or a channel with a switch (usually a push button toggle but can be a slide or rocker) and plug the out from the pedal to this mixer Hi-Z input. Now follow Good Sound System Operation Practices (including making sure all the eq sliders are parked at the zero before powering by up the system) and see what you can cook up. |

That is, the bass end nearest to the "Out" input should be above the 0-marking, then create a wave-type response, but my experience on the high end is only raise it one notch above zero. Then, you should be fine. This eq is excellent for acoustics and electrics, and your arch top will sound very nice. Dial the Rampart about half way up and enjoy. Should sound great! James |

Answer: | Yes, it will remove the muddiness. Just notch out the midrange. This pedal does an EXCELLENT job with the traditional "smiley face" eq (boosted bass and treble). I removed the metal plate underneath it to lessen the weight, and use it in my pedal board. I've tried other eq's and this one is one of the best, especially considering the price. |

I have 2 old GE-10’s that I use for different purposes in the studio; and now own 2 new EQ-200’s that I use for bass, guitar, and keyboards. You might like it differently, studio vs. live, but I’d say listen & see. |

Usually on a home receiver you run an EQ through the tape in/out. Tape out to EQ in - EQ out to tape in. Keep the tape monitor selector ON to run the signal through the EQ. If you turn the tape monitor off, you will bypass the EQ. |

Also, everyone in that perfect world would like the same amount of bass, midrange and high frequency, and there would be no such thing as feedback. But the world isn't perfect, is it? Even the best sound system can benefit from the use of a good EQ--like the FBQ800.

How Does it Work?
Imagine the frequency range of the sound you hear as a highway, a very wide one with nine lanes. Each of these "lanes" represents a single octave of the sonic spectrum. The first four lanes, labeled 63 - 500 (Hz) contain the really low frequency sound content, mainly bass, bass vocals, and the kick and tom drums. The three lanes labeled 1 k, 2 k and 4 k (Hz), make up the fundamental zone of most musical instruments and the male and female vocals. 8 k and 16 k cover the frequency range of cymbals, snare drums and higher pitched percussion instruments. The FBQ800 allows you to control the flow of audio traffic in each of these nine lanes. When properly applied, EQ makes it possible to hear all of these frequency ranges equally, thus the term equalization.
Feedback Elimination
When a specific frequency, or range of frequencies, reaches too high a level, feedback occurs--that all-too-familiar squeal or howl you get when the mic is too close to the speaker. Basically, feedback happens when there is so much of a particular frequency that it is picked up by the mic and run through the system again. That's why feedback typically gets louder and louder the longer it's allowed to occur. Needless to say, this kind of feedback is very undesirable.
This is where the FBQ800's Feedback Detection System really works its magic. In this ingenious circuitry, LEDs on the individual faders light up when that frequency band is approaching the danger zone. All you need do is lower the illuminated slider until the LED blinks out--voilá, feedback problem solved! What once required a highly trained ear is now an activity that even a child can master.
Sonic Toolkit
That really is the best way to describe the FBQ800. With its nine frequency bands, you easily fine-tune your sound and instantly eliminate feedback. And each fader can be used to boost or cut the frequency range it controls by as much as 12 dB (and that's a lot!).
Special attention is paid to the low frequency zone. In addition to low frequency faders, the FBQ800 features a Low Cut filter for removing unwanted low frequencies such as fl oor rumble, room resonance, electrical hum, etc. This is especially handy if your system is being used for speech rather than music.
To Boost or to Cut, That is the Question
Raising and lowering specific frequency bands can improve the frequency response of any room's acoustics. For instance, if the room you're in is "bass-heavy," lowering the 63 and 125 Hz faders can help eliminate an overall "boomy" or "muddy" sound. Likewise, gently boosting the 8 and 16 k sliders can add sparkle to a somewhat "dark" mix. Are the vocals getting lost in the mix? Raising the level of the 1 k slider can help bring them out.
It's important to note that raising a single fader level is not always the best solution; it's often better to lower the bands surrounding the frequency you want to bring out, and then boost the overall volume level to achieve better headroom.

FBQ Feedback Detection System
The FBQ Feedback Detection System is one of the most outstanding characteristcs of Behringer's graphic equalizers. This ingenious circuitry lets you immediately recognize and eliminate feedback frequencies. The FBQ Feedback Detection System uses the LEDs in the frequency band faders to indicate the critical frequencies. This way, what once used to be a labor-intensive search for feedback frequencies is now an activity that even a child could master.
In normal operation, the fader LEDs indicate frequency ranges with the highest energy levels, therefore replacing a separate audio analyzer. If you keep an eye on the LEDs while you play back your music (or during the sound check before a show), you can easily identify those frequency ranges showing the highest energy levels. Similarly, increased signal levels on individual frequency bands indicate a higher likelihood that feedback may occur.
Relay-Controlled Hard Bypass
The so-called hard bypass relays were integrated into the development concept of the FBQ6200 and the FBQ3102. These relays assure that your equalizer is automatically switched into bypass mode in the event of loss of power or faulty power delivery. These fail-safe relays also produce a slight delay during powering up in order to avoid dangerous switch-on thumps.
Balanced Inputs and Outputs
The BEHRINGER ULTRAGRAPH PRO models feature electronic servo-balanced inputs and outputs. Answer: | Best application is semi-pro or home use. It can be used in a vehicle but you MUST provide a proper power source. In the U.S., that would be 120 Volts AC, 60 Hertz. Inverters are available that could be used for this application. It is also possible to redesign the internal power supply if this is a permanent vehicle installation. This degree of modification is called re-engineering and you have to have quite a bit of expertise in electronics to do it. Also keep in mind this EQ was not designed for the harsh environment of a vehicle..... hot, cold, humidity, vibration, etc. |

Answer: | Hi Richard,I use the Behringer FBQ6200 for both studio and live applications. this EQ is designed for 3 outputs (right, left and sub). However, there are many ways to accomplish what you want. The answer is yes. What I have done is use channels 1 and 2 for mains (R and L) and used a Y splitter on the sub-out and connect them channels 3 and 4 (mono subs) but the over all sound of the kik and bass guitar is amazing.I have included a link to the EQ's manual. Answer: | LOL! Yes, total overkill. Like an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. But why not? You could really shape the tone of your guitar. You could save a few bucks by getting a single unit vs the duplex unit. It's a good Eq and has some very useful extra features in it. My band uses a duplex unit for our monitors. Works great. |

Answer: | Any ears can be cut off, but I would be very careful. If you damage the corners, the integrity of the cabinet is gone. |

Question: | Does this amp have low frequency’s for body shaking bass |
Answer: | It is not an amp. You will need an amp between this and your speakers. This adjusts the bass thru treble in 31 frequency bands from 10-20K HZ. I'd suggest Googling graphic equalizer if you are not sure! |
Question: | Can it be used in a car |
Answer: | At 19" wide and several inches deep, requiring a/c power, I can't envision a situation where it would be practical to use this product in a car. Also, electrical noise from car electronics would be a factor. |
