Answer:	It could possibly do that. This is a latching switch so its push on, push off, not momentary. I used to use one on my keyboard to hold notes so it will probably work for you. Try it. It wont damage your keyboard.
Question:	Can we route/split 1 input (e.g. 1 mic input) into say 3 different inputs as if 3 mics all receiving the same audio source
Answer:	That depends. This pedal does not ‘pass’ signal thru it. It only has has 1 jack so it only switches. So if you have an active subwoofer and it has a footswitch (on/off) 1/4” TS jack, then yes. Otherwise, no. Hooe this helps.

Answer:	When in doubt always go XLR, that’s the cleanest signal you can have and it’s grounded, hence the the clean, noise free signal! There are cases where you’ll be running TRS 1/4’ phone jacks that are balanced but you’ll need the 1/4’ with the TRS - Tip, Ring, Sleeve. Basically if you’re not grounded or using cables that are grounded, then you’re completely unbalanced and risking noise and feedback!

Channel Surfing

Designed for use on the road and in the studio, The Model 24 features four different channel strip configurations. The first two channels feature both an XLR input as well as a switchable line/instrument level ¼” input. These are followed by a ¼” TRS Insert connector for easy patching of a compressor, EQ or other effects. Next are the preamp gain controls (with overload indicator LED), switches for a 100Hz Low cut and the Line/Instrument level select switch.

Master and Commander

Question:	Can I use this to connect a bands instruments, bass, guitar, and vocals to the computer and record them all live at the same time
Answer:	Yes. Up to 4 instruments can be mixed into a stereo output that can go to stereo headphone and EITHER 2 speakers, a PC via a USB2 cable or to another device via Bluetooth wirelessly. There is a digital selector in top center. The USB2 can apparently also be used as input as there are playback control buttons as well. Have not tested. Note that the 2 odd looking inputs in the upper left corner are intended for mics and can take either XLR 1/4" phone plug connectors.

Answer:	Yes just plug and play. I used it twice on streaming. It's very good machine.

Answer:	The instructions say that it includes a built in sound card; however, no matter what I do, I cannot get any microphone to cooperate with this mixer to record on a PC. While I plug and unplug the cable, feedback will record, but no voice will travel from the mic through the mixer and into the PC.

Answer:	The particular unit that I got came equipped with a European style 220 plug and I live in Florida (US). There was no adapter or alternate cord in the box. Fortunately I had one around with the US plug on one end and the standard connector to the inline brick on the other. The mixer power supply accepts AC in the 100 to 240 VAC range ...so I just needed a different cord. They should at least inform you that it will be showing up with a European type plug. This may have been a one-off mistake but I had a tight deadline to do a live streaming music mix...

Answer:	Recommend you download the Notepad user manual from SoundCraft's web site. The possible output mappings for the USB interface are listed. For the Notepad-5 and Notepad-8FX, there are two channels output via USB, for the Notepad-12FX, there are 4. Your multi-track recording would be limited the number and mapping of the output mapping to USB. For a small, inexpensive mixer it's quite flexible, but not necessarily designed for large studio recordings.

Answer:	There are two versions of this unit, the DP-24SD and the DP-32. The DP-24 has 12 mono channels and 6 "Fixed"stereo channels. The DP-32 has 8 mono channels and 10 stereo or mono channels. You can only record 8 tracks at once so either 8/mono or 4/stereo (each stereo channel counts as 2 tracks) or any combination not to exceed 8 tracks. The processing and Physical layout are the same pretty much the same.

Answer:	It is compatible with GarageBand... there is one problem... It will record all your other tracks on the track that is currently being recorded. For example, I recorded drums then recorded bass... the drums were recorded on my bass track. When I added guitar - bass, and drums were on that track. I think Roland is intending their Rubix gear to handle this problem. Roland Rubix (2 channel, and 4 channel) are designed to work with PC, Mac, and iPad. These should solve this problem.
