Is this only for sketching or can I use it with other software?

Answer:	Ignore everyone who told you to get the iPad. You said you weren't getting an iPad Pro. Any other iPad will not work well for an artist as the pencil is only for the iPad pro. That immediately rules out the iPad as an option. I have the iPad pro 12.9 3rd Gen and I love it! I also have a Wacom 24" HD and I also love it! Both devices are excellent and perform the jobs they were designed to do extremely well. Your question was specific to a 15 year old who wants to eventually be an art major. So my answer will be specific to your question. Any art major in the digital world will be required to learn and use Photoshop. iPad does not have a full and complete version of Photoshop. It does have a very good art program called Procreate, which is great and I love using it, but it's not Photoshop. Giving a 15 year old an iPad and having him spend the next 3 years working in Procreate, only to have him then switch to a wacom and learn Photoshop in college is a waste of time. Get your kid a wacom and a computer (preferably a Mac) and a copy of Photoshop. He can spend the next 3 years learning it, and when he is in college he will be way ahead of the game.

Answer:	You could do this. As long as the paper isn't metallic it should not interfere with the pen communication. Note that by default your tablet will map to your overall desktop, this may result in a different aspect ration when drawing on the tablet if tracing. There are options in the Wacom Tablet Properties however which allow you to adjust your tablet active area to match whatever workflow you would like. Answer:	The other responses are outright false or outdated. The streamdeck has the ability to create multiactions. So you can make a macro of win + R to open the run window. You can then add a text action and then a keyboard enter macro to run the program or do other more advanced things. By default the streamdeck supports key press macros with up to 2 keys. EX: ctrl + z as well as the ability to open other programs. However, the streamdeck also has a little marketplace for community made addons that give you even more power. For example if you need more advanced macros that require 3+ keys to be pressed at once there is a community addon for that. There is also a community application launcher that allows more advanced control over launching an application and allows you to pass startup options.
Question:	Could this be used as a switcher between multiple web cams? Kind of like a live news cast
Answer:	Yes! You can set keys to toggle different scenes and sources in OBS (and potentially other live video programs) so it can definitely be used as a switcher. We use it for live streaming on Facebook and it is great!

Question:	Do you have to use a stop motion capable camera, or will any video camera work with this software
Answer:	I used waterproof wire connectors. I was lucky cause I only had an end run for the lights. Other than that you will have to splice into the wire.
Question:	does this work with Windows
Answer:	As long as it is the same watts and voltage it should. I have a light/bug zapper in mine.
Question:	Can this be used on a mac
Answer:	yes, to my memory it does. The led lights were broken on arrival, we put in other led lights with a standard base.
Question:	can this be used with windows
Answer:	The Globe Electric Charlie is not motion sensitive.
