User questions & answers

Question: Can you use this for djing
Answer: As far as I know the go mixer still does not work on USB-C even with an adapter... I have and S8+ but it came with a tablet so I use that
Question: I am buying it for use on a 220 voltage will it work
Answer: Very good. Perfect
Question: Hola, Presonus studiolive 24 ch, do you have
Answer: You could probably get away with using the IK Multimedia Powerbridge. This would let you use the Roland supplied cable to tap into the power supply. I'm close to buying one myself!
Question: does this one have the daw control mode? it seems like it but I can’t tell
Answer: It is compatible with GarageBand... there is one problem... It will record all your other tracks on the track that is currently being recorded. For example, I recorded drums then recorded bass... the drums were recorded on my bass track. When I added guitar - bass, and drums were on that track. I think Roland is intending their Rubix gear to handle this problem. Roland Rubix (2 channel, and 4 channel) are designed to work with PC, Mac, and iPad. These should solve this problem.

You have all of the processing available at all times, with no compromises or caveats. The unique Fat Channel provides a compressor, limiter, expander, and 3-band semi-parametric EQ on every channel and bus; a highpass filter on each channel; phase reverse for the channel mic preamps; a library of professionally crafted presets; and the ability to save and selectively recall processor settings. A stereo, 31-band graphic EQ sits on the main bus. To top it off, you get two 32-bit delay/reverb effects processors, each with its own dedicated mix bus and a library of useful effects presets.

Superior sound.

Connect a StudioLive 16.0.2 USB mixer and you’ll instantly hear details and clarity you’d expect to find only in a much more expensive console. StudioLive mixers operate at up to 48 kHz for high-definition mixing and recording. High-quality Burr-Brown converters on every input and output provide a best-in-class 118 dB of dynamic range so you’ll catch every high and low with great accuracy and no audible distortion. User questions & answers

Question: is there a way to use this with an iPad app? and wireless
Answer: No, it does not. The AR series mixers do not have any compression/limiting functionality built in. The PreSonus StudioLive series does have compression/limiting, however I do not believe that can be applied to auxiliary outputs. In both cases, you would have to insert a limiter after the aux out and before your amplification chain if you are worried about decibel limits. -MusicMann Studios Delete
Question: Is delivery safe
Answer: Yes, as long as you install the driver, it should work fine.
Question: Is the only difference between the three models just the number of inputs? Are all other features the same
Answer: 16 channels, stereo channels would be one if not used in stereo.
Question: This unit says it's powered, but there are no wattage ratings. Can I assume that I would need to couple this with a power amp for live audio
Answer: Hello,Each channel has a PFL switch in which you can choose if you'd like to record pre-fader or not.If this was helpful, please consider purchasing from us. We can help with support after the sale as well. We have it in stock and ready to ship. - Pixel Pro Audio

Product features

The most powerful rack mixer in its class.

When we say the StudioLive 16R is by far the most powerful rackmount digital mixer in its class, that’s no idle claim. The result of ten years of R&D, third-gen StudioLive Series III rack mixers are fully recallable, including remote-controlled XMAX preamps. Yet despite their extensive features, StudioLive Series III rack mixers actually improve upon PreSonus’ legendary ease of use while letting you customize their workflow and operations in software to fit the way you work. The coveted StudioLive sound is better than ever, including third-generation Fat Channel processing, re-engineered from the ground up, and vintage-style EQs and compressors. Add built-in AVB networking, multitrack recording via USB and AVB, stereo SD Card recording, and a complete suite of software; You have a mixing and recording powerhouse that’s equally formidable as a stagebox/monitor mixer, as a rackmount front-of-house mixer controlled from a touchscreen computer or tablet, and as the heart of your studio.

Customize scenes and presets in new and powerful ways—including your way.

With StudioLive Series III, we’ve upped the ante and given you more flexibility when working with scenes and presets. Mixer scenes now include Scene Safe. Similarly, we’ve expanded the concept of Fat Channel presets so that presets have, for practical purposes, become like scenes for individual channels, not only saving input and Fat Channel settings but also aux send and bus assignments. Of course you can also use preset filters to choose what you want to recall.

Create buses and groups to suit your workflow with FlexMixes.

Don’t you hate it when you’re setting up for a show and find you have an unused subgroup—but you’re short one monitor mix? That’s not a problem anymore, thanks to 16 FlexMixes that can be individually designated as aux, subgroup, or matrix mixes. These 16 FlexMixes are in addition to the 4 fixed subgroups giving you a total of 20 mix buses, not counting the main mix and solo buses. We also provided 24 Filter DCAs so you can more easily and flexibly control groups of channels. These are only a few of the many ways you can customize your StudioLive Series III rack mixer exactly to your needs and workflow.

Network-ready, with a choice of recording methods.

Networking isn’t the future of professional audio systems; it’s here now. StudioLive 16R Series III rack mixers come equipped with an AVB Ethernet connection that enables you to network multiple StudioLive Series III mixers and compatible computers and stream up to 32 channels of audio to and from a Mac or Windows PC. You also get 18x18 recording via USB 2.0, giving you a choice of computer recording methods. Each channel can independently access its analog input or its dedicated digital return from your computer. Alternatively, quickly and easily record the main mix—or any other stereo mix—to the built-in SD Card recorder. Upload a show for fans, give the band a reference recording, and more, no computer required. You can even simultaneously multitrack record to your laptop via USB or AVB and record in stereo to SD.

Simple but versatile audio connections.

We kept the StudioLive Series III rack mixers’ front and rear panels clean and simple, yet they have all the connections you need. All 16 channel inputs on the StudioLive 16R use locking combo jacks to accept microphone- or line-level signals. You also get a pair of unbalanced RCA jacks as additional inputs for Channels 15 and 16 for easy connectivity to smartphones, media players, and other consumer audio sources. In addition to main L/R outputs and headphone jack, you get six FlexMix outputs that can each be independently configured as subgroups, monitor outputs, or matrix outputs. The result is a versatile set of connections that provide the access you need in a compact, 1U package.

Superior sound.

Connect a StudioLive Series III rack mixer, and you’ll instantly hear details and an open high end you’d expect to find only in an expensive studio console. We built our reputation designing great-sounding analog circuits, including our famous XMAX solid-state, Class A preamps, and we put all of that experience into designing StudioLive Series III consoles and rack mixers. We didn’t cut corners on components, and we just say 'No!' to noisy, crosstalk-y ribbon cables. As a result, StudioLive Series III mixers deliver the high-end audio quality you need to preserve your hard-earned reputation for producing great-sounding mixes and recordings.

User questions & answers

Question: Can someone recommend what type of SD card would be good unit looking for something good to hold a lot of music
Answer: The Presonus Studio Live mixer series can be used completely with any iOS device. The iPad (typically a larger format 9” or 12” Pro) works with th Presonus app called UC Control. This allows you to control all of the physical functions of the mixer without faders on the actual board. Presonus also has an app for this line of mixers called Q-Mix. this app allows users to adjust there own monitor mixes individually. I totally love Presonus gear. It is reasonably priced and super intuitive to use. This particular mixer is being used on tour and performs flawlessly every show.
Question: studio Live AR8. Can you record in your daw 4 separate channels simultaneously to function as an audio interface
Answer: Yes, it arrived to me safe.
Question: does this output to xlr
Answer: Yes, the number of inputs and possible channels.
Question: Can I plug this into my new Mac book pro and record two inputs inside garageband or logic
Answer: It is an unpowered mixer and actually says unpowered in the product name in the listings I just quickly reviewed on Amazon. For live sound you will need to either power amp(s) and speakers, or speakers with power amps built in. There are three studiolive mixers (16, 24, and 32 channel inputs respectively), and each has multiple outputs, so with the right amount of amps/speakers you could drive a mono or stereo main mix, and multiple monitor mixes for the performers. I hope this helps.

Product features

All of the connections and controls you need.

StudioLive AR8 USB mixers are packed with the connections and controls needed to mix and record live, in the studio, and in rehearsal. Each of the two mono channels and two stereo channels includes level control; a mic input with one of PreSonus’ prized Class A preamps; three-band EQ; and more. Besides the main outputs, you get a monitor mix output with a dedicate bus for feeding a stage wedge, headphone amp, or in-ear system. Since the StudioLive AR8 USB is also a studio mixer, you also get control-room outputs with level control to feed your studio monitors.

Plug guitars and basses directly into the mixer.

Most mixers make you route acoustic and electric guitars and basses through external direct boxes before connecting to a mixer input. But with StudioLive AR mixers, Channels 1 and 2 have high-impedance instrument inputs, so you can plug a guitar or electric bass straight into the board—no direct box needed.

Fly in backing tracks and play break music, too!

Both the integrated USB recording interface and the SD recorder have multiple uses beyond simply recording. With just a few backing tracks, your small band can sound like a much larger act, so we enabled the USB interface to play back two stereo streams through the mixer—great for backing tracks, click tracks, or program music. Use the SD recorder to play up to 32 GB of MP3 and .WAV files for hours of program music or backing tracks without needing a computer. And don’t forget the Bluetooth feature in the Super Channel, which lets you play break music straight from your smartphone. With several ways to get the job done, you can work the way you want to.

Integrated software makes recording a snap.

PreSonus StudioLive AR mixers are tightly integrated with state-of-the-art recording software to help you achieve your creative vision. Record with PreSonus’ Capture live-recording software, then edit in our award-winning Studio One Artist DAW (recording and production software); both are included free.

User questions & answers

Question: If I move the virtual fader on my PC, will the physical fader move as well
Answer: The generation 1 StudioLive mixers (16.0.2, 16.4.2, and 24.4.2) use FW400, the 2nd gen AI versions use FW800, and the newest (soon to be released) version supports USB. The current models do not.
Question: Is this model the 'AI' Version
Answer: Hello, The hissing you are hearing is the result of the preamp being driven too high. If you drive these preamps too high, you will still get hissing. By using the compressor, the hissing will probably become louder (depending on the settings). By using a gate, the hissing will go away when you are not speaking. But when you begin to talk again, the hissing will be present. What a lot of engineers do with the SM7B is put a Cloudlifter in between the mic and the preamp. Here is a link to one with free shipping: https://www.amazon.com/Cloud-Microphones-CL-1-Cloudlifter-1-channel/dp/B004MQSV04/ref=sr_1_1?m=A3QYKZ7LXW9O3&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1508619736&sr=1-1&keywords=cloud The Cloudlifter provides up to 25dB of super clean gain for dynamic, ribbon and tube mics. If this was helpful, please consider purchasing from us (pixelproaudio on Amazon). We can help with support after the sale as well. We have it in stock and ready to ship. - Pixel Pro Audio
Question: if I have unpowered speakers do i need an amp or will having this presonus do
Answer: Yes, I believe it must be at least 10 spaces on top. You will also need the rack rails, just google presonus 16.0.2 rack rails. I think amazon has them. youtube has a video showing you how to install them. As far as I know you shouldnt have to drill holes.
Question: Is the model "AL" version
Answer: This is the ideal unit for recording

User questions & answers

Question: I am a Motivational Speaker, can I use these with a microphone when speaking to an audience of 75 people
Answer: There are better choices for that -- you want speakers with a built-in mic preamp, and probably higher wattage amplifiers. You may also want folding speaker tripods. I suggest you puchase speakers designed for this, with a tripod screw hole on the bottom, and XLR mic inputs. For example, Bose EONS sound amazing for music as well. You may also wish to purchase a good wireless mic. Think of it as a system. The size of the room and the audience determine the required size and power of speakers.
Question: Hola, quisiera si al comprar el E3.5 (Pair) si son los dos monitores o solo uno
Answer: son dos monitores, uno principal y el otro esclavo. Saludos.
Question: Is the the Presonus E3.5 woofer speaker cone unprotected? It appears to have no fabric covering as many speakers would have
Answer: Take a piece of t-shirt and bring it back and forth between your face and the monitors.. you will hear that even something like a tshirt of pantyhose, has a considerable effect on the sound projection. Also, having grills on the speaker looks cheap imo..
Question: Does this come with all the necessary cords to connect this to a computer? Is it rca trs or xlr
Answer: It comes with the speaker cable to connect the two speakers, a male 3.5 mm plug to male 3.5 mm plug, and a male 3.5mm plug to right and left RCA cable. We plugged a iPhone into them and played stereo music. Very Nice!

Product features

Convenient wireless Bluetooth connectivity.

With four different types of audio inputs, it’s easy to feed audio to your Eris E3.5 BT monitors from almost any source. Fast, reliable, stereo Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity lets you go wireless, streaming sound from a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or other Bluetooth source. Play games, listen to music, and even create content, with no wires except power cables. When you want a wired connection—say, from a computer, turntable, TV, or other line-level source—the Eris E3.5 BT has you covered with rear-panel, left and right ¼-inch TRS and RCA inputs and front-panel 1/8” stereo inputs. A loud, clear, front-panel headphone amplifier lets you work and play in stealth mode, without disturbing your housemates.

Clean overall sound, smooth high end, and a wide sweet spot

Every Eris-series studio monitor utilizes a woven composite low-frequency driver. The weave and nature of the Eris E3.5 BT’s 3.5-inch woofer result in tight bass that you can feel, as well as cleaner overall sound. The one-inch silk-dome tweeter produces a smooth and refined sound, accurately reproducing transients and high frequencies. The tweeter is designed to radiate sound with a fairly wide pattern, creating a large optimal listening area or “sweet spot” so you can move around and still hear an accurate stereo image. With 25 watts per side of onboard power, the Eris BT-series monitor speakers pack a serious punch, while still delivering clear, accurate audio.

Easy-to-use controls.

A speaker’s response is affected by where you place it and the acoustics of your space. That’s why Eris E3.5 BT active media reference monitors offer controls to adjust the high- and low-frequency content, so your Bluetooth speakers always sound their best. A convenient front-panel volume knob sets both the speaker level and the integrated headphone amplifier’s level.

Accuracy defined.

Like all PreSonus speakers, the Eris E3.5 BT offers consistent, accurate listening, with the smooth and even frequency response that has made Eris studio and media reference monitors popular around the world. Their compact and powerful design makes them an ideal solution for any small space. Want extra-deep low end? Pair compact Eris E3.5 BTs with PreSonus’ powerful Temblor T8 active subwoofer for a truly full-range sound system that fits almost anywhere.

Recording Made Easy!

Everything you need to record and produce Start recording today with this complete, all-PreSonus package! Based on the AudioBox USB 96 audio/MIDI interface and award-winning Studio One recording and production software, PreSonus AudioBox 96 Studio is great for creating multitrack recordings, demos, live recordings, podcasts, field recordings for video and sound effects, and much more.

Step up to serious, 2-way professional studio monitors with Eris

Make your music stand out with accurate mixes What sets Eris High Definition Active Studio Monitors apart from comparably-priced competitors is Eris’ ability to create accurate mixes—mixes that sound good on other playback systems, on iPod headphones, on TV commercial soundtracks, and even on your kid brother’s cheap computer speakers.

The answer for that poor 'home studio' sound If you ask anyone who listens to a lot of new music submissions, they’ll tell you that a surprising number of mixes submitted from home studios are out of balance. Muffled or boomy bass. Indistinct or ear-splittingly loud vocals. Harsh or muffled treble; etc. Why? Because the monitors used to mix these songs weren’t telling the truth. The path to hearing the truth is only achieved when you have the tools to make your monitors work with your studio acoustics.

Hear what you've been missing and create better mixes

Eris gives you the tools you need (and an easy to understand manual) so that you can acoustically tune your monitors to your room and your musical genre, hear what you've been missing, and produce better mixes.

User questions & answers

Question: Is the speaker loud or is it like a subwoofer
Answer: Thank you for your interest in Nature's Bounty! Our products are not intended to cure or treat any medical conditions.
Question: How is the microphone that came with studio one ? I need all the details
Answer: The Active Charcoal 260mg (B3680) is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans as it contains a gelatin sourced from bovine (cow).
Question: Does it need a apple laptop or any laptop work
Answer: Hi, thanks for your question. Both are excellent at doing their main job--adsorbing material, whether dirt, toxins, stains, or poison. Those materials can be on a surface (such as your skin or teeth) or internally (such as toxins in your stomach). The more important question to ask is: where does this charcoal come from? Our charcoal is sourced ONLY from hardwood trees made in the United States and produced here in the US as well. Coconut and bamboo charcoal are never made in the United States. As you probably know, safety and inspection standards are far more lax in other parts of the world, including the countries where these kinds of charcoals are made. For this reason, we chose to source our product only in the US from trusted suppliers. We personally don't use products that go on our skin or in our bodies (or even for pets!) unless we are sure it's been proven safe and tested to confirm it contains the ingredients stated on the bag. But the choice is yours, hope you get the chance to try activated charcoal-it's an incredible product!
Question: can you use windows
Answer: Hi, yes it can-this is food grade activated charcoal powder, so it's suitable for both people and pets! You can search online for different recipes, but if you're making a 'standard' batch of treats that starts with 3 cups of flour, add about 2 tablespoons of activated charcoal powder to the mix. Hope your dog enjoys the treats!

Question: does this work with fl studio
Answer: Yes, works well with FL Studio! No latency, after setting up drivers.

Answer: Yes. In registering the Audiobox with Presonus you will create an account on their web site that you can download the software as many times as you want. User questions & answers

Question: Is it normal for every little touch of the mic or mic stand or wires or interface to be picked up loudly in the recording
Answer: Different mics pick up differently.
Question: Will this work on a macbook pro 2012 (non retina) on the thunderbolt 2 connector, using an apple usb-c -> thunderbolt2 adaptor and thunderbolt2 cable
Answer: It should but use the cable that's included
Question: Which of the Studio models, if any, can actually drive 250 ohm headphones? The 24c, sadly, did not
Answer: Not sure you are going to find a USB interface that will work those. Those are a very narrow use case style of headphones. I know that are marginally better for listening due to the damping effect. However, for recording and mixing a better choose would be a reference (flat EQ) design like the Sony MDRV6 headphones.
Question: Will this presonus iostation 24c 2x2 usb-c audio interface work with bandlab cakewalk daw
Answer: Yes. It uses standard usb drivers so if it works with your computer, it should work with any up to date software.
