User questions & answers
Question: | I just got my Behringer C1 in the mail yesterday. I can't get it to work. I hooked it up to my Steinberg UR22 Audio Interface using a microphone cable that has an XLR/0.25 in. jack connection. The UR22 has +48 V phantom power. When I turn on the phantom power the red light that is supposed to light up doesn't light up |
Answer: | Hi Ben, are you saying you're using an XLR to 1/4 inch (TRS) cable? If so that is your problem, because TRS (and TS, unbalanced 1/4in) does not carry +48v. Your Steinberg is actually a pretty nice interface, and is nifty with what is called combi jacks. Combi jacks can accept mic, line, and instrument level, from 1/4in OR XLR which makes them great for small interfaces like your Steinberg. Run down to your local pro audio store, or order online a regular XLR to XLR cable, and since you only need two at most right now, I recommend getting some nice ones. Mogami Gold Stage is a good option, not as expensive as their studio version, but still expensive. I know good XLR cables are expensive, but if you get cheap ones, you'll go screwy trying to figure out what's going wrong, when they ultimately do. |
Question: | does it come with the mic cable |
Answer: | yes, the standard 1/8 mic jack |
Question: | Does this microphone plug into a xlr cable |
Answer: | Yes. The only way to connect it is XLR. Requires phantom power. |
Question: | What's the difference between this and the C |
Answer: | The C-1 is a directional microphone, best used for vocals (singing, rapping) because it only picks up in one direction and ignores pretty much everything else. The C-3 is a Dual-Diaphragm Condenser mic, so it has 3 settings, it can pick up sound all around it, front back and then it has a similar setting to be used as a directional mic.Basically it gives you a few more options, but the C-1 is pretty good if you only want a directional mic. |
Question: | How many mic inputs have this speaker |
Answer: | Do not buy mine broke within an hour they refused to replace it brought it to a repair place there was no schematics for it |
Question: | Does it have rechargeable battery |
Answer: | Yes it does. |
Question: | can you play music and use microphone at the same time |
Answer: | Hi, yes you can play them both at the same time. You may check other details of the unit by visiting our website pyleaudio.com. Type the model number on the search box PPHP1241WMU for more details. Thank you. |
Question: | About how long can you play music on the batery |
Answer: | More the 8 hour |

User questions & answers
Question: | Each or both mics make humming/screeching noice When both mics turned on the same time? Thanks |
Answer: | They won't interfere with each other but EVERYTHING in the world around them will interfere with them. I got these and took them to a couple shows and they were absolutely AWFUL. They were 5 feet from the transmitter and still cut out due to the wireless frequencies in the building and changing channels couldn't resolve. They worked fine at home, but once I took them out in public around more wifi - they fell flat on their face. I can't express how terrible these performed. |
Question: | Will it be interference when using both microphones turned on for karaoke singing? i found 2 answers- 1 said yes & 1 said no |
Answer: | No it can't. You need the Behringer ULM 202 usb. https://www.amazon.com/BEHRINGER-PA-System-Black-ULM202USB/dp/B00HRKWSAQ/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=behringer+usb+mic&qid=1559281990&s=gateway&sr=8-3 |
Question: | Can ulm302mic be used with any other speakers having usb drive facility |
Answer: | Depend upon battery recommend using rechargeable ones |
Question: | how many hours will the batteries last? 10- 12 hours |
Answer: | I don't know I purchased the set, try Behringer web site |

User questions & answers
Question: | how long do they last before charging them |
Answer: | When I purchased the Mics Bundle I also purchased the Yamaha MG102C 10-input Stereo Mixer Bundle W/(2) 20' XLR balanced Cables for mics & (2) 18.6' Instrument Cables The Yamaha stereo mixer is a very good pre-amp, mixer, with good tone controls. The out-put of this mixer-amp I then connect it even to a simple guitar amplifier of 20 watts, and I get a very good P.A. system going, and it serves so well for a gathering of 50 to 70 people in a hall, or a picnic spot, or family get-togethers. The point to always remember is to keep the mics/use the mics behind the speakers, or maximum just in line with the speakers facing the audience. If you step ahead of the speakers, then the volume should be reduced or you will get feed-back - the howling screeching sound over the speakers. The Power amplifier I would suggest to purchase is Behringer EUROPOWER EP4000 Professional 4,000-Watt Stereo Power Amplifier with Atr (Accelerated Transient Response) Technology by Behringer. You would have to purchase a pair of 2000-watts speaker boxes too. |
Question: | What type of amplifier do I need to use with these mics? I just need a mic for lectures, not music |
Answer: | You need a mixing board to connect to an amplifier. A very few amps have a mike connection where you can plug a mike directly into an amp and I have a DVD player that has 2 mike connections. Ordinarily you need a mixing board to plug one or more mikes into an amp. The mixing board I have is a Behringer 1202FX which is an excellent compact mixer and it connects to an amp with either a stereo RCA cable or stereo 1/4" plugs/cable using an auxillary or any analog line input. |
Question: | how does it connect to an amp |
Answer: | They are good, but very sensitive regarding angle and range, so you will have to prep your guests/co-hosts for distance and angle. The polar pattern is somewhat unforgiving to the person using the mic, but easy for the person mixing. These mics require a decent amount of gain. My Allen & Heath Zed10-FX can drive them with gain turned up to about 85%, which is nuts since this low-end board has mid-range quality preamps that are generally reviewed highly for their ability to drive even the SM7B without an external preamp. Be advised. |
Question: | I want to do some recording for podcast. We will be sitting around a table. Using a mix board and headphones. Do you think these mics would be decent |
Answer: | I never got to find out, they would not work for me. |

Question: | What is the frequency response for the ehringer C-1U |

Question: | My cable has XLR on one end and 1/4" on the other. Will this work for this mike? I have a phantom power on the way if it is necessary |
Answer: | you can try xlr - (1/4" or TRS) cable but adding phantom power i don't think will do anything to improve quality with XLR-TRS, now if you had XLR - XLR you get a cleaner sound with phantom power but if you don't care about noise your first choice may work in some cases but i've had the sound drop out all together using XLR-TRS. |

Condenser microphones are the ideal choice for capturing vocals and acoustic instruments. They're the primary type of microphone used in recording studios and radio stations. They are capable of capturing much more detail than dynamic microphones because of their wider, flatter frequency response. Why the C-3?

With its excellent transducer and gold-plated XLR output, the C-3 is very neutral-sounding and truly delivers on the promise of noise-free transmission.

User questions & answers
Question: | I have a TASCAM DP-008EX would this microphone work with it and what kind of cord would I need. I want to record Bluegrass Jams |
Answer: | It takes a normal mike plug in.I'm Not familiar with you unit but surely It could be plug able.On line it specifies which Cable. Matters cable it calls for A 1-4 inch on you unit and a Gold plates plugin.Just make sure your Unit will work with it. |
Question: | Has anybody used this as a drum over head |
Answer: | Haven't tried it, but this type of microphone can be used for almost any purpose such as an ambient mic. |
Question: | Is this microphone for pc |
Answer: | I know this question has been here for awhile, but I want to give you a good answer. First, the others aren't wrong when they say it's an XLR (balanced) microphone and you can't plug it directly into the computer. They're also right when they say it needs phantom power, and it's not hand held. Well, many microphones designed to work with a computer aren't either. But where they're wrong is in saying that this can't be connected to your computer. It can be with the right equipment, and you don't need to spend a large amount. For about $50 you can get yourself the Behringer XENYX 302 USB powered mixer, which acts as a USB interface for all types of audio connections, including microphones that have an XLR connection. Plus it comes with Phantom Power and a mic pre-amp, and it will work with your computer. I know because that's my current set up. |
Question: | How can I mount the mic to a boom stand |
Answer: | You could use the microphone own base (on the picture: the black piece in the base of microphone) or buy a microphone shock mount, like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002GJHYM/ref=s9_acsd_simh_hd_bw_boF9X_c_x_1_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-3&pf_rd_r=M3DPY8HEZDPTT7AJ6DC1&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=067228d9-0d6d-5cae-8831-7ca7d512bc38&pf_rd_i=11974651 |

C-3
The dual-diaphragm C-3 microphone is a home recording enthusiast’s dream come true! This professional quality condenser microphone is designed to capture your sounds with incredible realism, sensitivity and accuracy. With selectable pickup patterns (cardioid, omni and figure eight), frequency filters and input pads, the C-3 mic is an excellent choice for any recording scenario – and rugged enough to go the distance! With a heavy duty suspension mount and windscreen included in the sleek aluminum case, the C-3 just may be the only microphone your studio will need.
What is a Condenser Mic?
Condenser microphones are the ideal choice for capturing vocals and acoustic instruments. They are the primary type of microphone used in recording studios and radio stations. The C-3 mic is capable of capturing much more detail than most dynamic microphones because of its wider and flatter frequency response. Another difference between condenser and dynamic mics is they contain active circuitry that requires phantom power (+48 V) for operation. You can power your C-3 using any phantom power equipped BehringerXENYX mixer – plus enjoy the benefits of our state-of-the-art XENYX mic preamps.
Why the C-3?
The C-3 is an affordable, high-quality way to put this essential studio tool to work for you. It has three selectable pickup patterns: omnidirectional for capturing sound equally on all sides; cardioid for picking up your source signal while rejecting off-axis sounds; and figure-eight for capturing sound both behind and in front of the mic, but not all the way around. With its excellent transducer and gold-plated XLR output, the C-3 is very neutral-sounding and truly delivers on the promise of noise-free transmission.
But That’s Not All…
The C-3 condenser microphone is designed to be your go-to studio mic for many years to come. The tough, die-cast metal body can withstand the rigors of all those late-night recording marathons – and the included carrying case ensures your C-3 always travels in safety and style.
