User questions & answers

Question: Is this product include furry cover? I watched some review video on youtube, there is no furry cover in the package
Answer: Thank you for your time. In regards to your inquiry the windscreen is in fact an included accessory by the manufacturer with this item.
Question: The first image is of a Pro31, probably want to remove that
Answer: HI, I will let amazon know. They are the only ones who can remove a pictureThanks
Question: Does anyone know whether this microphone is good for recording piano? (indoors
Answer: I'd say it would not be my first choice due to the x-y configuration of the cardioid elements, you'll pick up the sound of the piano in the room instead of the piano. What you want to look for is a shotgun mike that is designed to pick up what it is aimed at - the piano. I suspect that you'll have the camera and mike on a tripod, so aiming at the piano will ensure success. Amazon has the Audio-Technica ATR6550 for a cool $55 that would give you what you need.
Question: Will this microphone work with the Canon EOS Rebel T3i
Answer: The Audio Technica will work with the T31, but I don't recomend it unless the mic is off camera. The Pro24 is stereo, but not a true shotgun mic. It will pick up lens motor noises. It you are using USM lenses, you might be able to get good results, but otherwise not recomended. Good luck.

Product description

With its lightweight yet feature-rich design, the AT8024 Stereo/Mono Camera-Mount Microphone offers a simple, powerful solution for capturing high-resolution audio for video. Selectable line-cardioid mono and internally matrixed mid-side stereo modes provide the flexibility to focus the recording on a single sound source or to widen the field for outstanding sonic realism. In either mode, the AT8024 delivers audio that is dramatically better than that supplied by the camera's internal microphone. The AT8024 camera-mount microphone also comes equipped with a three-position adjustable attenuator (-20 dB, -10 dB, 0 dB) to capture even soft and very loud sound passages without distortion. A switchable low-frequency roll-off reduces pickup of undesired ambient noise, room reverberation and mechanically coupled vibrations. The microphone is powered by a single AA battery for optimal performance with high max SPL, and features an integral camera shoe mount that attaches quickly to DSLRs and shoe-equipped camcorders.

User questions & answers

Question: I've seen customers comment that the coldshoe mount is fragile and breaks easily. Can those who use this often comment on the durability
Answer: Yes it does, as well as a cold shoe mount to hold it in place if your camera has a built-n shoe adapter.
Question: can this microphone work with my video camera panasonic hx
Answer: it only come with one for the receiver and one for the transmitter
Question: Can i use this on zoom h
Answer: If you want to have two microphones in use at the same time then you will need two receivers. If you only have one audio input on your camera then you will need some form of interface box (sound board or mixer) that will accept audio from both microphones and combine the different channels of audio into a single output to send the combined signal to the camera. When setting up wireless microphone systems each microphone that will be in use will need a dedicated receiver (ie: one microphone to one receiver). Both the microphone and the receiver must be on the same frequency in order to interact with each other. It is not possible for two microphones to be sending a signal to a single receiver at the same time.If the two microphones were set two different frequencies they cannot both be picked up by the same receiver as a receiver can only be tuned to one frequency at a time hence the receiver will only pick up signals that are on the frequency that it is tuned to.If two microphones are used on the same frequency at the same time then they will interfere with each other because the receiver cannot distinguish between different signals and cannot separate them out into separate signals. In a situation like this neither signal will come through correctly. A good way to visualize this is to think of the microphone transmitters as two different radio stations and your car radio as a receiver. You can only listen to one radio station at a time because the radio can only be tuned into one station at a time. You can also have only one station broadcasting on each frequency or neither gets through clearly. If you've ever traveled and had two radio stations overlap on the same frequency with neither coming in clearly you've heard an example of this.NOTE: When a product appears to have once receiver receiving multiple microphone (like the Sennheiser EM 2050) it is actually a situation where the product is actually multiple receivers built side by side into a single housing.
Question: will this work with a lumix 4k
Answer: It's worth the $200 difference if you do professional broadcasting and you want better compression. You get what you pay for

User questions & answers

Question: Can i buy an extra transmiter so i can transmit from two mics at the same time. I am trying to use it to record a talk show, and also for news intervi
Answer: No, you can only transmit with one transmitter at a time. If you want two mics, you need two systems
Question: Does it come with a mic clip
Answer: Yes, it comes with a clip. The clip allows you to attach the mic to a standard microphone stand. If you have any other questions, please call us 800-213-3021 or text us 609.491.2844 - The Sound Professionals
Question: Will it work with iphone 12 pro
Answer: Yes, but you will need this adapter: https://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/ATR3350iS-ADAPTER and this https://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/item/AP-HEADPHONE-ADAPTER
Question: what is the audio output 3.5 mm or xlr
Answer: The receiver itself is a 3.5mm jack, which has a switch to let you select either dual mono or balanced TRS outputs. The unit comes with a 3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo adapter cable, which is intended for dual mono output to a DSLR or similar recorder. Dual mono means that "left" and "right" outputs are identical in content. If you desire balanced XLR output, then acquire a 3.5mm tip-ring-sleeve (aka stereo) to XLR adapter cable, and select balanced out on the receiver.

User questions & answers

Question: How is the AT2020PLUS different from the regular AT
Answer: I have both. The AT2020 was great for general recording purposes, but for singing or voiceover I do LOVE the monitor jack and the slider. The slider will let you balance what comes into your monitor (your earbuds, headphones, whatever you plug in to the jack) so you can choose how much of the mic versus the PC comes into your ears. This gets important because if you rely on the PC to feed your voice back to you, there is a slight signal delay that can get awkward. You don't have to use the monitor, and it doesn't affect the act of recording. Hope that helps!
Question: Does this work with windows 10? I need someone who actually uses it on win10 machine, not someone selling them. I have at2020 not working w/ win
Answer: Yes, I'm running Windows 10 with Audacity recording software. By the way, with this one-directional mic, it's very important to be speaking INTO THE BLUE LIGHT behind the screen. That's the one-directional "sweet spot." And, you didn't ask, but I record (as do most of my professional colleagues now stuck at home) into the free software "Audacity." Some have found that If you plug in the mic AFTER you load Audacity, it may not recognize AT2020+ as a microphone choice, and while it may still record, the results will be unsatisfactory. If or when that happens, just restart Audacity AFTER plugging the USB into your computer and click on the AT2020+ option.

Question: is it possible to listen to a downloaded .mp3 instrumental (NOT instrument) on my PC and hear that while i record over it using this mic
Answer: Yes, using the monitor dial on mic itself, toggling between PC sound and your own, or setting accordingly until balance suites you. (using plugged in headphones into mic)
