Answer:	After you power the device on, press the mode button so you are in "Pitch" mode. I believe the default pitch you will get is an A at 440. You can use that pitch to tune your cello - just tune the A-string to that pitch. If it doesn't come up with a A, you can turn the wheel and as you do, it changes the pitch. You can turn it to each pitch of the 4 cellos strings, A, D, G & C. Just make sure you don't tune to a sharp or flat, just the straight pitch.

Answer:	These are thick cables i was impressed when i got them
Question:	Does the cable have 3 wires for ground, positive and negative terminated at the 3-pin
Answer:	Yes. This is what is known as a balanced cable. As such, it has a ground conductor and two additional conductors that carry the signal. Hence, three wires total. This is standard for professional, low impedance microphones; and interconnections between pro audio equipment such as mixers and power amplifier's. BTW, these are very good, especially considering the price.
Question:	Why are they called microphone cables? Can I use them for pre-amp to power amp balanced audio interconnects
Answer:	These are XLR cables. Maybe they called them that because it the one of the most common uses for this type of cable. Either way - They will work to make a balanced connection between 2 pieces of equipment with balanced xlr in/out connections. I use mine to connect a pre amp to an Interface.
