I would think that a mixer XLR output would have a similar impedance and signal strength as the Shure receiver: as long as it is an analog signal. If your mixer output is digital you would need a digital XLR cable. An analog cable would not be compatible with a digital signal.

Answer:	It does no converting in that it changes the connector, not the level of the signal. For that you would be better off with something with a power supply such as a preamp or minimally a di box

Answer:	does your microphone cable have an XLR female connection? You will connect your standard microphone cable to your mike then connect to this adapter. This adapter is made to connect into a 1/4" sound source "amp-stereo ect"

Answer:	You will need to insert it half way and see if you get a signal. You can also buy a stereo female to mono male 1/4 to get the right connection.

Answer:	My answer for your question will be inconclusive. These adapters have the three conductors (tip, ring, barrel) independently connected to each of the three pins in the XLR side. My mics and amps are all mono and I have had to rewire mine to connect the tip and ring together or they won't work. They may work for you if the XLR connectors or the rest of your system accommodates the stock wiring. Bill

Answer:	Yes, as long as it's the XLR and not USB version, it will.
Question:	Will these cables be good for a filmset?(Newbie) Of stage and studio, it seems like the Studio would be better for cleaner audio
Answer:	Studio version uses a spiral wrap tinned copper shield. This provides 100% shield coverage. They are great for studio use where they are set up and left in place with minimal handeling. The problem is the spiral shield design is prone to “separation” if handeled roughly or repeatedly, especially if bent to tightly. The stage version uses double braided shielding. This is a much more robust design and can better handle the rigors of stage use, however, even with double braiding, there are gaps in the shield and coverage is, while still respectable, only (I believe) 85%.

Answer:	These are standard XLR cables, but with redundant wires on pins 2 & 3. They are well-shielded which rejects RF interference. Great for microphones or Line Level devices like CD players and amp inputs.

Answer:	I haven't used them with that mic, but I have used these cables with all sorts of other mics and running from power cabinets and I have had mo problems st all with anything. Really like these cables.
