Question:	How are the mediums compared to lights, i am looking at these for my first string change and i don't know what i have now. Is there a big difference
Answer:	Not really a big difference. The most common gauge is 45-65-85-105 (Custom Light). If you like a bit more stiffness in your G and D strings, go with Medium. If you like a little looser E and A, go with Light. If you don't care one way or the other, just go with Custom Light.Mind you, again, it's not a huge difference. It's subtle. I like my E and A a little softer so it's easier to dig in, so I buy Lights (45 65 80 100).
Question:	Is this a decent guage for drop b on a bass
Answer:	been using EXL-170 for years with drop B and D tuning 4 string - fender P bass no buzz super clear
Question:	Do these strings have a real bright tone? I am playing praise and worship music and not sure I want that real bright tone
Answer:	If you want to avoid any bright tone, then consider taped, flat finish strings that are designed to reduce string and fret noise. Your pick ups and playing style will also affect your tone. These are middle of the road for nickel wound strings.

Question:	Will this length work with the squier/fender bass vi
Answer:	Yes, the length is cut for 30" scale - they are plenty longer. I put them on the Ibanez Crossover VI bass and they did sound too 'dead', more so than flatwounds sound on a regular 4-string bass. I took them off and put on an equivalent set of roundwounds. This bass came with the D'Daddario set made for Bass VI instruments but they were a bit too light on the bass end. La Bella are great strings and the guages here did give a greater bass-presence to the instrument, just not an attractive one.
Question:	Do these strings sound bright
Answer:	No, they are very mellow since they are flat wound. La Bella also makes a round wound set in the vintage correct gauges if you want a bright timbre.
