Question:	I received 2 of these capos and have verified that they are knock-offs. They are not Jim Dunlop brand as advertised. Why the false advertising
Answer:	I received a knock-off in what looks like authentic packaging for the 83CB type. I bought a separate Dunlop 87N Electric Trigger Capo, Curved, Nickel which is authentic. Easily identifiable differences: (a) Knock-off has one solid rubber pad on inner part. (b) No Jim Dunlop logo stamped on outer rubber pad of curved handle. My 87N shows this correctly. The one thing that annoys me is the authentic 87N came in identical packaging as the 83CB - same outer packaging and same printed type label. Both are NOT tamper proof packaging - easily pops open and where a knock-off could be inserted/replaced at any point in a supply chain. I think Jim Dunlop should address this point to help prevent knock-off's from circulating. Their good name will keep getting smeared unjustly otherwise.

Answer:	I think the B in 88B means it is black. The image is incorrect. Also please be aware that I think this model is for a classical guitar, just in case you wanted a curved capo.

Answer:	Hi, the length is 6 cm. Enough to grab the whole of my classicals, which are 52 mm width at the nut. If you're european this might be useful, I am Argentinian and we use the metric system. If you are from Estados Unidos or UK I guess you need to make a conversion to other units. I never had a problem, it is a good product, and easy to move with just one hand.

Answer:	Too many factors to state a clear answer I think. The shape of the neck has plenty to do with it. I am not sure which dunlop trigger capo u are comparing it to. I can tell u the dunlop black electric trigger capo does the job. Like all capos, u have to play around a little bit but I like this capo. Not sure this helps but my 2 cents.

Answer:	Works fine plus at least a few mm of extra clearance on my Yamaha acoustic including the first fret. Works on my late 90’s Strat too. Don’t see why it wouldn’t work on a Tele.

Answer:	I don't think the Dunlop is the strongest capo on the market. On my Danelectro 12 string it struggles to hold the bass E strings down - especially the higher of the two. I have more success with the G7th Performance. Always a bit tricky capoing a 12 string!

Answer:	It means they will replace it if it breaks before you die !!!

Answer:	Claims 'lifetime' but I'm never sure what that really means. However the product is solidly made and doesn't show any real signs of wear after a year. Guessing that if you are a heavy user there are 2 parts that could fail ..the pads that contact the strings and the spring that provides the tension but as stated no signs of wear so far.

Answer:	The seller posted this: "The xGuitarx x1 Capo is made of Zinc and x3 Capo aluminum alloy. x1 is made with a more expensive and resistant material and it's a little bit heavier than the x3." I can't say much more than that, as I have not compared the different models. I have some aluminum capos and this one made of zink, which is supposedly more durable, but I have not had any problems with any of them. I haven't dropped them, either, so I can base my judgment only on normal usage. That said, I actually like the Dunlop toggle capos the best. They are easy to use, less bulky, and pretty much indestructible. The come in different shapes (fast and curved, depending on what guitar you have).

Answer:	It's going to depend on your fretboard. Most "classical" guitars are flat fretboards and use a flat capo. Most electric guitars have at least some curve (think rounding) to the fretboard from side to side. Those require a curved capo since a flat one won't have any or much contact with the strings.

Answer:	The 14F features a Dunlop exclusive "adjust-o-strap" for fine adjustments. If you look closely at the pictures you will see a difference where the strap gets tightened. It won't let me load a picture here so you will need to go to each listing to compare.

Answer:	There is only one. For some reason Amazon lets just about anyone put images up on listings which leads to LOTS of wrong pictures. You are correct to ask questions. I never trust the pictures alone unless I know EXACTLY what I am looking for.

Answer:	I'm not familiar with the width of neck on a baritone ukulele, so in that regard I'm telling you more than I know, but that capo works pretty well on my 6 string acoustic; definitely minimal and does not get in the way of your fret hand. You can adjust the strap itself as well as the notch you choose to clamp with, so I'm pretty sure you won't get any dead strings. That said, I also purchased and now use as my primary capo the Donner DC-2 which despite it's apparent size, and to my surprise, did not interfere with chording at all, clamped super well, and was very easy to move, adjust, and/or remove! For the money, I'd recommend getting it in addition to whatever else you try, or even trying it first! Hope that helps.
