Answer:	I lost my regular black one that my dad gave me. I didn't even consider a different capo. I love the gold color and shimmer, it looks so pretty with my acoustic orange Ibanez!

Answer:	The properties of the pad on the capo are such that this capo is likely to work well with either a six-string acoustic or a six-string electric guitar. The fact is: the difference in radius between most guitar fretboards is very small. There are a few exceptions to this, but if you own one of those guitars you probably already know that using a special capo is preferred. In addition, keep in mind that that capo works by pressing the strings down, not actually making perfect contact with the fretboard. This minimizes the differences even further.

Answer:	I know that this is slightly curved to match the necks of steel string electrics and acoustics, but because of its rubber surgace i think it will do fine. It is more universal than other capos ive used, and i think that for at least most of the neck of a classical it would do what it needs to.

Answer:	I bought both the "6 Rosewood Acoustic" and "E Electric Quick Change Capo". The rubber pad is 1/32 (.031") inch longer on the acoustic capo. The spring on the acoustic capo is stronger. The photos look like there is a rubber pad to protect the edge of the fretboard, but there IS NO PAD to protect the eedge of the fretboard. It is a piece of tape. It may provide some protection. The clamp leg could be longer. If you accidentally release before completely on, the end of the clamp leg may press against the neck.

1. Install the round metal chassis to the hinge
2. Fix the hinge to the lid of the cabinet with 2 pcs screws(3.5*14)
3. Then fix the round chassis part to the inner of the cabinet with 3 pcs screws(3.5*14)

Answer:	No. Their amazon product titles are terrible. Go to here (http://www.jimdunlop.com/product/classical-trigger-capos) to see which size you want. I got this for my classical 6 string guitar thinking it would fit. It did not because the 83 length is meant for "acoustic" metal string, not classical nylon string. For that, you want the 88B.
Question:	I received 2 of these capos and have verified that they are knock-offs. They are not Jim Dunlop brand as advertised. Why the false advertising
Answer:	I received a knock-off in what looks like authentic packaging for the 83CB type. I bought a separate Dunlop 87N Electric Trigger Capo, Curved, Nickel which is authentic. Easily identifiable differences: (a) Knock-off has one solid rubber pad on inner part. (b) No Jim Dunlop logo stamped on outer rubber pad of curved handle. My 87N shows this correctly. The one thing that annoys me is the authentic 87N came in identical packaging as the 83CB - same outer packaging and same printed type label. Both are NOT tamper proof packaging - easily pops open and where a knock-off could be inserted/replaced at any point in a supply chain. I think Jim Dunlop should address this point to help prevent knock-off's from circulating. Their good name will keep getting smeared unjustly otherwise.

Answer:	I think the B in 88B means it is black. The image is incorrect. Also please be aware that I think this model is for a classical guitar, just in case you wanted a curved capo.
Question:	What is the lengh of the pad that goes over the strings
Answer:	Hi, the length is 6 cm. Enough to grab the whole of my classicals, which are 52 mm width at the nut. If you're european this might be useful, I am Argentinian and we use the metric system. If you are from Estados Unidos or UK I guess you need to make a conversion to other units. I never had a problem, it is a good product, and easy to move with just one hand.

Answer:	Works fine plus at least a few mm of extra clearance on my Yamaha acoustic including the first fret. Works on my late 90’s Strat too. Don’t see why it wouldn’t work on a Tele.

Answer:	I don't think the Dunlop is the strongest capo on the market. On my Danelectro 12 string it struggles to hold the bass E strings down - especially the higher of the two. I have more success with the G7th Performance. Always a bit tricky capoing a 12 string!

Answer:	It rises the strings by a little less than a quarter of an inch, high enough to play slide with a bar without problem.
Question:	Can I tune to open G using this converter
Answer:	No, you cannot. In converting from regular to open G tuning you tune down one full step/tone strings 1 (from E to D), 5 (from A to G), and 6 (from E to D), while strings 2, 3 and 4 remain unchanged. It works/is like a regular capo.

Answer:	I don't see why you can't, unless the action is so high that it won't work. To work best, the dobro should have frets.
Question:	Will this work with a grover nut extender
Answer:	I didn't know about the Grover Nut Extender. I just looked it up. It appears to me that these are intended to serve the same function. So, I'm going to buy and try the Grover Nut Extender to see if I like it better. This Dunlop device leaves the strings a bit too high for my taste. Chording is very challenging and messes up intonation.

Answer:	The strings should only be used on a standard acoustic guitar (with an adjustable truss rod in the neck.) These are not meant for classical acoustic guitars that typcially don't have a truss rod. Classical guitars use nylon strings to reduce tension on the neck.

Answer:	Too many factors to state a clear answer I think. The shape of the neck has plenty to do with it. I am not sure which dunlop trigger capo u are comparing it to. I can tell u the dunlop black electric trigger capo does the job. Like all capos, u have to play around a little bit but I like this capo. Not sure this helps but my 2 cents.

Answer:	It's going to depend on your fretboard. Most "classical" guitars are flat fretboards and use a flat capo. Most electric guitars have at least some curve (think rounding) to the fretboard from side to side. Those require a curved capo since a flat one won't have any or much contact with the strings.
