User questions & answers
Question: | Can this be used with command strips to hang on a dorm wall |
Answer: | It’s 300 seconds of loop time and one loop at time that will endlessly overdub. Once you switch say a delay mode it wipes out the loop so no way to save or transfer I run a wiretap by TC Electronic at the end of my chain to record the output of my entire chain for each loop so I have a secondary file to manipulate. It’s not the most functional looper in terms of what it can do but the pedals quirks actually do some great things and it’s dead silent unlike most moudilation/loop pedals. Hope that helps! |
Question: | Would this work for a banjo? I have the dulcimer specific model for my dulcimer and want one with the round mounting plate for the banjo. Thanks |
Answer: | No,only 9 volt wall 120 volt adaptor. |
Question: | Will this work well for a standard mandolin |
Answer: | At the time I bought mine it did not come with a power cable. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this small enough to hold a 1/10 Violin |
Answer: | It could likely hold a viola! I would specify it's a gift when you purchase it in case they need to exchange it. |
Question: | Can the cradle be separated from the plate? If so, how are they attached? Thank you |
Answer: | Not that I can tell. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this hold a full size viola |
Answer: | Yes.... I have purchased several of these, and use them for my ukuleles, guitars, and mandolins. Good luck! |
Question: | will it hold a 1/16 or 1/32 violin |
Answer: | The bow just barely touches the violin. |
Question: | Any chance this would hold a cello |
Answer: | Yes but only in the fully horizontal position assuming it is a standard 13 inch long 3\4 violin. The arm itself is 12 inches, and the body cradle extends another 6 inches from the pivot point, so if you were to try to display it at an angle the instrument would not reach from the body cradle to the neck rest. |
Question: | Will this hold a 1/4 size violin |
Answer: | It does not appear to. The double hook (base) easily swings 180 degrees. The single hook however is fixed as far as I can tell. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Once i have it mounted what could I use to connect the two ends to ensure it doesnt fall off? Something I can take on and off easily, a rubber band |
Answer: | 1/8 is the smallest violin we have tried it with. If you would like to try it and let us know, we would of course give you a complete refund if it does not work. |
Question: | Does this work for a 5 string fiddle |
Answer: | Yes, it can. The cradle has a bolt that threads into a t-nut welded to the wall plate. |
Question: | Does the hanger allow room for the shoulder rest to stay on the violin |
Answer: | No. This hangar is intended to be screwed directly into drywall or a wall stud. The base of this hangar is concave too, meaning there’s a space and you won’t get full contact with the command strip against the wall and hangar. You could possibly screw this to another board and then stick that against the wall with command strips, but then again the strongest strips hold 8 lbs max (the average acoustic guitar weight) and might not be up to the job unless you use several. I personally wouldn’t trust a musical instrument to them but that’s me. I hope this helps. |
Question: | Can this be used to hang a 1/2 size violin |
Answer: | We do make a banjo version of this hanger but it is not available on Amazon yet. Give us a call at 1-888-455-6636 for more info. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work for a smaller violin scale like 1/10 or 1/32? I'm looking for a wall mount for my preschool classroom. Thanks |
Answer: | This holder should work just fine as long as your instrument isn't drastically smaller than a normal violin. You may also want to look at the ukulele holder as that fits smaller instruments as well. |
Question: | If I purchase more than one at the same time, can you guarantee that they will all be the same wood/color? Don't care what color wood |
Answer: | Unfortunately, on this Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) there is no guarantee on what wood color you may receive. Its a circumstance that we as a Seller have no control over due to the way this original ASIN was set-up long ago. If you want a specific color and all of them to match, type these ASIN (numbers) in the search field on Amazon depending on which wood you want: B00HXMOBW6 for Cherry, B00CRQ0AD2 for Oak, B005ZOF2W2 for Ash and B00F1WLBTG for Black Walnut.String Swing hangers are proudly made in the USA and guaranteed for life when you buy from an Authorized Retailer like EZPICKN, unfortunately some of the Sellers on Amazon are not. Its simple to protect yourself, simply go to the store locator at the String Swing website to verify you are buying from an Authorized Retailer.Your Friends at EZPICKN |
Question: | Will this hang a 5-string electric violin? (Vector Prodigy 5-string) It doesn't have a normal scroll and the neck is wider |
Answer: | I have the music stand version of this hanger and a Yamaha YEV 105 5-string violin. At first it didn't want to go in, but if you grab both of the arms and pull them apart like a wishbone, it will give just enough to allow the neck to fit in...and if you go too far you can push them back together. Use some finesse, don't KONG it, pull a little and check for fit...then repeat if needed. |
Question: | My husband has a cello, would this hanger hang cello safely |
Answer: | I don't know but my guess would be no as the neck of a cello is much larger than that of violin. Also, the cello is a lot heavier so you would need to have a pretty solid wall to hang it anywhere. I think it would be better to get a floor stand like: http://www.amazon.com/Ingles-Adjustable-Cello-Bass-Stand/dp/B002Q0WSOI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390678561&sr=8-1&keywords=cello+standGood luck!Glen |

User questions & answers
Question: | Should the violin mount work for electric violins? I just installed mine and the hook hits the lower tuner unless I rotate the hook 30 degrees |
Answer: | I tested an 1/8 size violin on one and it worked, so I'd say the 1/4 size would be fine. It doesn't rest on the pegs; it rests on the hook shaped prominence of wood between the neck and scroll of the violin. |

User questions & answers

Answer: | These are oak hangers. They will be very similar to the photo in tone and grain with some slight differences. |
Question: | Will it hold the guitars in the even of a medium size earthquake? I’m in California |
Answer: | no |
Question: | my husbands bass guitar is pretty heavy - though I don't have the exact weight. Is there a weight limit for the hanger? thank you |
Answer: | They are a fixed width. If your fret board is over 2" then these will not fit. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How wide are the two tines that stick out |
Answer: | Yes can but the fit would be less than ideal. What you are looking for the CC01VS (B003B0W82O) which is made specifically for smaller violins. Otherwise the violin rests on the tuners. |
Question: | Can I use this to hang a Cello? Their necks are too narrow to work with guitar hangers |
Answer: | Sorry we are not sure as we are using it for a full size violin. We don't think there is much difference between a full size violin and a full size viola (maybe viola is just a tad longer) and cannot imagine that a viola would not work on this holder/hanger. |
Question: | How far does it stick out off the wall (horizontal dimension |
Answer: | I have a 1/16 & it hangs fine (a little loose, but holds good Injust don't allow my 4 year to hang it back up, only me). I called the company who makes it & they said I could order a smaller fork part that screws into the current base I have if I felt I needed it. The once my child grew into the larger violins I could unscrew the small fork part & put the new one in. Hope this helps. |
Question: | Does the hanger actually thread and screw into the mounted base? I had purchased a wooded mound with a metal hanger, and it came apart |
Answer: | I don't know how much a cello weighs but as long as you screwed it into a stud in your wall then I would think it would be fine. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can it be used for a ukulele |
Answer: | It should work with most electric violins depending on the heel of the headstock. If it has no heel or the heel is closer to the tuners than a traditional violin then it may make contact with the tuner. If it does then we recommend the CC15S which holds the violin by the body instead of just the neck. |
Question: | can this be used for a viola |
Answer: | You don't need to do that, the fiddle sits very securely in the holder. The rubber on the 'prongs' grips your instrument and the weight of it holds it securely. I have used 3 of these for years and have never felt that my fiddles would fall. |
Question: | Does the tuning peg rest against the hanger on the left side (when facing the violin |
Answer: | The inside measurement is 1 and 1/8 inches, hope it works for you! |
Question: | Could this be used to hold a wine glass |
Answer: | Yes, it does. The holder suspends the violin far enough from the wall that it hangs straight down even with the shoulder rest in place. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Could the mic stand twin ukulele holder hold a ubass ( neck width 1 7/8 inch wide |
Answer: | I can't tell you in inches/cm, but they are wide enough for a violin or viola, but not wide enough for my mandolin or ukulele. This was genuinely designed for the narrow neck of a violin/viola. |
Question: | Will this item hold all sizes for ukulele |
Answer: | I'm not sure the hanger is wide enough for a cello neck. It is really narrow. There is a great cello/bass stand that folds up for about 50. The cellist in the band "The Memphis Dawls" uses one. It is the most economical cello stand I've ever seen. |
Question: | Will this work on a gleam conductor sheet folding music stand, which shows the upper part of the stand is exactly 1 inch |
Answer: | It is 3" from wall to "center of the Y or yoke". The" total reach of the arms" that surround the neck to the wall is 4.25" with "an additional stem for the bow to hang" that extends 1.13" beyond the length of the arms. This means the total length of the hanger from wall to tip is 5.13" because the hanger has a slight pitch upward. |
Question: | I ordered one and one size fits my one uke, but the other uke is too wide. Is there another holder I could screw in, or another size, or an adaptation |
Answer: | The hanger is a bolt that twists onto the base. I've never had any problem with it falling apart. Just be careful not to tighten it too tight as it will start to boar it's way into the wall. |

The String Swing music stand violin hanger fits on most music stands. The hanger slides onto the front lip of a music stand and is secured with a thumb screw. The violin does not rest on the tuners.
- Violin does not rest on tuners!
- Bow holder included
- Slides onto the front lip of a music stand
- Secured with a thumb screw
User questions & answers
Question: | does this product come with the music stand |
Answer: | No, the neck of the ukulele is too big to fit in the holder. |
Question: | Will it work for a mandolin |
Answer: | Yes. My music teacher plays both violin and viola and uses this for both. |
Question: | Will it work with a viola |
Answer: | No, despite answers to the contrary, the violin rests on the lower extent of the pegbox behind the nut. The tuning pegs do not touch the hanger at all. The product description is correct: violin does not rest on tuners. |
Question: | Will this work on a folding metal stand |
Answer: | I suppose it could be used to hold a wine glass. The Sheet Music stem is somewhat wobbly at times, which means you should not fill the glass to the brim lest it slosh out. |
