Answer:	No. It's not heavy enough and wrong dimensions.

Answer:	The stand is actually in two parts. I just store the "bell" part in the bell of the clarinet while it's in the clarinet case. You have to unscrew a second piece that's inside the bell part of the stand to flip out the "feet" it stands on. It works quite well for me and it's convenient to be able to store the whole thing in the bell of the clarinet.

Answer:	Diameter at its widest, with the legs folded inside the unit, is 2.25 in (5.75 cm.) When the clarinet is in its case, I keep the stand inside my actual clarinet bell, which has a diameter of 2.5 in (6cm).
