User questions & answers

Question: what are its dimensions and does it come with a power supply
Answer: The combo is 18" high, 15.7" wide, and 13.2" deep. It comes with a standard 120VAC power cable.
Question: What is the speaker wattage of the max 100? Is it a100 watt
Answer: No, it’s a 50 watt.
Question: What is the weight of this amp? Specs say 1 lb, but that's highly unlikely
Answer: Very unlikely. ;) Even so, I double-checked the weight on my bathroom scale. It's a VERY manageable 25 pounds (or 11.3 kilograms).
Question: Can a microphone also be hook up for playing the guitar and sing at the same time? Thanks
Answer: Short answer: Maybe. Longer answer: There's an Auxiliary Input (3.5mm) that's normally for audio input from an iPod/phone/external music source. You might be able to plug in a microphone with a 3.5mm plug, but I don't know if the signal would be strong enough to complete with the bass. You might be better off dropping Peavey a note and getting your answer direct from them.

User questions & answers

Question: what size speaker are in the cab 12''s or 10''s
Answer: These are Ceramic Magnet and the higher priced ones are Alnico 5 magnets. There’s a difference.
Question: Does this cab come with wheels on the bottom
Answer: Yes they can be split!
Question: would this be good for playing small gigs like for a beginner band
Answer: The one I bought was a bridge 4 wire using the Seymour Duncan type wiring diagram: Black North Start (+) White North Finsh (-) Red South Finsh (+) Green South Start (-) so tie the Red/White together and this is the humbucker with Black to positive and Green to ground along with the drain wire. I used this for a 4 wire option On/On/On switch for series/coil split/parallel option and it worked great.
Question: is the cab straight or ported
Answer: I believe Brian lee Wade is correct -with one caveat . The black (north start +) is also wired to the bottom plate as a ground! If I and Matt are correct that means you must connect the black north start ( +) to ground and yellow south finish - to hot. Kind of backwards and Im not sure how this affect phasing with other pick ups yet. Could be wrong but thats what I come up with.

User questions & answers

Question: Does this have an effects loop? Also how many ohms
Answer: 10's. The last 412 bass cab Peavey made was the txv.
Question: Is the sparker out put a NA4LJX speakON
Answer: Nope. No wheels.
Question: Do you need to have a speaker plugged in to use the headphone and/or XLR outputs
Answer: What kind of music are you playing? I've used this cab for small gigs before without an issue. I'd be hesitant to play it loud with a 5 string or something with dropped tuning. The cab can 'fart' a bit when stressing certain frequencies at loud volumes. It's not a terrible cab, but it's exactly what one should expect when buying a brand new 210 cab for $200. I'd say your fine for small gigs, but I tend to leave my Headliner at home when playing medium/large venues.
Question: hi, i have a question... i need 1 cabs of 500w or 2 cabs of 250... or i can use any combination
Answer: Straight
