Answer:	When the unit is heating up it is too hot to touch, but that's completely understandable since it works so well. I heat it up, use it, then let it cool down before putting the top cover on before I put it away for storage. Again, this is the best kitchen appliance I have ever used!

Answer:	To correctly answer the question - no. It requires 120vac @ 60hz. British supply is 230vac @ 50hz. Need to buy version made for the juice where it will be used; this appliance is made to work on a 15amp 120v breaker which is common is US households.

The cord needs to be able to be plugged in to the wall socket without any form of pulling on the cord connected to the fryer. If you can't do this then you need a appliance extension cord (a heavy duty since plug extension generally 3ft long with only 1 plug) Don't just buy any cheap extension cord or power strip as they aren't designed to handle the load of the fryer and can overheat and start a fire.

Answer:	You never use more that seven (7) 8-ounce cups of oil. There is an oil level line within the cooker. You set the heat control at 400 degrees and preheat for 20 minutes. Leave heat control at 400 degrees for frying. You can reuse the oil if you strain it to remove any food particles. Store the strained oil in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dark place..........
Question:	Do you put the heating element inside the black fryer pot to assemble or does the heating element go underneath the black fryer pot? I’m confused
Answer:	Just to clarify, Crisco is NOT lard. Lard is animal fat. Crisco is solid vegetable shortening - mostly from soybean oil and palm oil.

Answer:	The 06006 is 5 quart capacity. 06003 is 6 quart capacity.

Answer:	The electric kettle is made with glass while the inner lid and base are made of food-grade 304 stainless steel. All the water contact surfaces are constructed of food grade material and heat-resistant.

Answer:	I found when I just use tapwater, that the bottom of the kettle was turning white from calcium deposits. I would suggest that you use either distilled water, or purified water and see if that makes a difference. First of all though you need to clean that black stuff off by boiling some vinegar with a little water in the kettle and then scraping it off with a scrubby.

Answer:	The oil level is four inches.
Question:	What is the wattage
Answer:	When you fill it to the line with 4 cups of oil, you are actually frying in 2 inches of oil. I cook for one and always fill to the line (4 cups) ... I just reuse the oil over and over again. If the food you are cooking touches the sides or bottom of the Fry Daddy, it can burn. I personally would not use only 2 cups.

Answer:	The lid is only for storage after the oil and fryer cool. You don't use the plastic lid during cooking. If you're concerned about splashing use less oil or you could get a metal oil splash screen like you would for a stove top pan.
Question:	Where is it made
Answer:	If Amazon doesn't list it anywhere maybe try Fry Daddy at gopresto.com? They make the Fry Daddy so If anyone sells them it would be them. If not, I used a lid from a Pyrex 7 cup round container in a pinch when my daughter grabbed the lid off ours for an art project and then misplaced it for a couple weeks. The Pyrex lid fit perfectly on the Fry daddy. Not pretty but it worked.
