He is older and he was having a hard time getting his leg up high enough to get into my SUV. This step has a big enough foot print that he is comfortable stepping up onto it and it gives him the heighth he needs to get into the vehicle. I just keep three in my vehicle all the time. They stack neatly so it doesn't take up too much room.

Answer:	As far as being ADA compliant, I am not sure. But....I am 66 years old, visually impaired (legally blind/low vision), and it was important for me personally to find a bath step that could assist me to safely enter and leave the tub when I wanted to shower. I also don't have the best of knees and, again, that was something else I had to consider when shopping for a sturdy bath step. I liked that this one (which is wide and solidly built) did not have legs, and so far, it has stayed firmly in place without sliding. The single step up works well for me, but I believe this model can have other steps added to increase its height. As far as the ADA issue, perhaps you can contact the seller/mfg. In all honesty, I think this step has proven worth its reasonable price, but what your personal need might be would likely depend on what type of disability is involved. Last tip: I would take note of the step's size., which although not heavy is large and wide enough to easily stand on (a plus) when entering and leaving the tub, but which might prove a little big for a very small bathroom. However, I was also looking for replacement tips just in case that the black rubber tips might be leaking dye onto my off-white fiberglass shower floor.

Answer:	No, it has drainage holes in the seat and the bottoms of the legs aren't water tight so water can drain. It's been working great for my mom after her back surgery.

Question:	What is the weight limit for this bench
Answer:	I weigh 220 lbs, and the legs broke where they cross. I wrote a review, see the pictures. I contacted cybermarketonline.com who is the parent company and they are located out of Great Britain. All I got so far was 'send more pictures and we'll start an investigation." and "All our products are sold on amazon, there is nothing we can do for you." I sent picture sof the broken leg from below showing the ripped metal, as well as a photo or two of me on the unit wiht the legs spreading out to the point of failure. It is not only NOT rated for 280 lbs, it is not rated for 220 lbs, and I question if it is rated for much over 150 pounds. I ahve pictures of teh broken unit and failure if anyone wants them.

Answer:	I've had it a month now. Use it in the shower, yes sturdy (180# man). Also I have used it to keep my foot raised while I'm sitting around ( which is all I can do lately) . No I have not tightened it yet, with a lot of use it's stayed sturdy.
