Question:	How wide is it
Answer:	The seat height adjusts from 16 to 21 inches. The width and depth of the legs are both 16.75 inches, the width of the seat is 20.75 inches, the depth of the seat is 18 inches, the height of the seat is adjustable from 16 to 21 inches (add another 12.5 inches for the height of the backrest.) You should not have a problem with this seat as long as the inside bottom of your bathtub is at least 17 inches wide (so that the legs of the seat will fit in it.) Although the seat is wider than the legs, the seat will sit above the height of most bathtubs, unless you have a really deep bathtub (21 inches or more.)
Question:	Is the back removable
Answer:	Yes, it is removable. The optional back clicks right into the cut-out at the back of the bench. The chair back has two grooved slots that fit over two corresponding plastic slats at the back of the bench. Align the grooves and slats, and press gently to securely attach the back. The very end of the chair back has two sturdy, rectangular plastic tabs that fit into the central opening at the back of the bench. The tabs have built-in, horizontal 2-inch plastic lips that lock the chair back into place.If you attach the back, and then change your mind, you can easily remove it. Turn the chair over. To release the horizontal plastic lips that secure the back, press the ends of both plastic, rectangular tabs toward each other until they touch. I used both hands to do this, but someone with larger hands may be able to use only one. Simply pull the chair back away from the bench.
Question:	how does it keep from slipping if the rubber feet are rounded--doesn't look like there is surface area at bottom of feet for suction to the tub
Answer:	This is a terrific chair. I just ordered another one yesterday. Going to have knee replacement surgery and needed a dependable chair. Doesn't slide at all. I have to pick it up to move it. Purchased my first one for $29.95. The second one had increased to $34.95. Check around for the best price.

Answer:	You can find them at Walmart for $6.88 - look under "Carex Walker & Bath Bench Tips" - they are white. I just bought this bench and really like it. However, I was also looking for replacement tips just in case that the black rubber tips might be leaking dye onto my off-white fiberglass shower floor.

Answer:	no, NO RUST at all, this is the ONLY tub chair i could find that did NOT have metal legs or metal parts. It seems to be entirely plastic, yet very sturdy, kind of heavy to be honest. I also use this to stand on to put in lightbulbs, etc. VERY GOOD chair. Just TRY to find a tub chair that does NOT have metal legs. This is the only one.

Question:	How do you keep it from getting mold
Answer:	I would say just keep it clean, especially the feet. I would not leave it in a shower stall where moisture lingers. Set it out and let it dry after each use. I use my stool in an open tub and have never had a problem. You could also spray the entire stool with vinegar & water mixture. This will kill germs and mold. Of all these solutions, I think the best thing is to set it out of the tub and let it dry. Hope this helps

Question:	Will this work in a garden tub
Answer:	I have a whirlpool tub but i don't think it's a garden tub. However, I found the width of the tub and width of the tub rim must be considered. Also the depth of the tub. You'd want your feet to reach the tub floor.
Question:	Would this work with sliding glass doors installed on the bathtub? We would keep open during use
Answer:	There is not usually enough room to sit down and swing legs over the tub edge if the sliding doors are still in place. I think it would not be safe to use it with sliding doors.
Question:	Can you use this with a claw foot tub
Answer:	Yes. As long as it does not have an overly curved profile so it mightn't sit level. The bench braces against each inside lip of the tub so that it is stable and stays in place. But it is easily removed or loosened to reposition. It is very sturdy. I feared that the edge of my tub where it meets the tiled wall wouldn't offer enough ledge for the bench to rest upon but the way the bracing slides/adjusts made it work like a dream.
Question:	How much of a ledge does this item need on each side? That seems to be the only negative review issues
Answer:	It is adjustable on both sides but you definately need a tub with an ledge on both sides I knowome of the newer one piece tub wall combos only have a ledge on outside and the bench does not work with those but a standard bath tub has a ledge on both sides and it works great!

Answer:	Yes ... there are drainage holes on the seat: 4 large ones near seat edge and 2 small ones in middle of the seat, in addition to the wide handle holes on either side of seat. After use, a simple wipe down with a micro fleece towel keeps mine looking like new. This is a great product ... sturdy, quality and light weight, too.

Answer:	The legs and frame are metal (aluminum?). The tips on the legs are rubber and the seat and back made of hard plastic.It is very sturdy. I bought it for my 90 year old mother and she really likes it.

Answer:	The important measurement is the clearance, not the leg length. There are cross tubes under the seat so the highest clearance after all the legs are extended to their full length is 19 1/2 inch. Unfortunately my tub wall height is 22 1/4 inch. The transfer bench is too large & bulky to send back in light of the fact that I'll only need it for 2 - 4 weeks after my back surgery. I'm just going to put a 2x6 under the exterior legs (2x4s are too narrow for safety).
