Question:	Will the cushion fit on a raised toilet seat addition? Dad already has a raised seat, we just need a cushion
Answer:	It is strong.. However, the fasteners that keep the seat attached to the toilet, have to be adjusted from time to time. The entire seat is covered in plastic/vinyl. Thus, I can not tell you if it has a wood or plastic core.
Question:	Will this cushion fit on an enlongated toilet seat
Answer:	I don't quite understand the question. The seat itself, underneath the covering is probably wood, or some hard substance. Then it's "upholstered" with some soft padding and then topped with the soft vinyl type material. It's very comfortable.

Answer:	It is very durable & has a very solid wood core. The covering is very flexable and soft. I have had this one over a year now and no rips or tears. The best thing about this seat is the twist on & off hinges. So easy to clean in just minutes.

Answer:	This seat installed with the provided hardware is quite unstable. The manufacturer should be required to provide bushings to pass through the porcelain that would compress against the longer bolts. These seats will most likely be used by older or handicapped individuals that would require a very stable base to ensure safety.

Answer:	I believe the opening from rail to rail when extended its widest is 28 in.
Question:	Do you have to take old toilet seat off
Answer:	The seat is 19" d. x 13-1/2" w. - the arms will add 6" to 8" to the width, depending on which position the arms are placed. The bolt center to center is 6". My commode wall width is 22-1/2", so I placed the arms in the narrow position. I had hip surgery and the elongated seat worked perfectly on my small elongated commode. Hope my answers help you.

Answer:	it may help, but it could make it harder for the patient to push themselves up if the rails are attached to the toilet itself and not the riser.
Question:	Does the increased height make the "plops" too loud? I have thin walls in my apartment
Answer:	Measure from back to front using the inside measurement. A round toilet is usually 12 in. back to front and 11 in. side to side. Use the round hinged toilet seat. If the measurement is 14 in. back to front and 11 in. side to side it is the elongated type. I have one of each.

Answer:	Yes!, it installs with your current seat with longer bolts, just remove the existing seat, place this seat riser with your current seat using the two longer bolts (supplied) and you are done. When finished just remove the riser, use your old bolts and you are back to the original configuration.
