Answer:	the "rollers" don't roll they're stationary, but they can be removed completely from the stand..at least mine can.

Answer:	No there is not anything that extends higher than the top of the rollers.

Answer:	Maybe its just my expectation but if you have a machine shop then you should be able to do anything you want to this thing. Its a pretty rudimentary device. I completely understand not making it a DIY project, you cant buy good bearing sets for that let alone the extra stock!

Answer:	There is no wobble and outer column is made of iron. This is an excellent made stand. I have 4 of them on a 22 inch band saw they work real well for me

Answer:	I was the guy that said its shorter. I already threw the original riser away or I'd measure it. Id estimate 38-39"s if you need it longer 1x1 steel tube with a couple holes drilled in it will make it as tall as you need.

Answer:	I would be extremely leery putting rollers on a foot stool! It would be okay on carpets but THERE WILL BE a time when the stool is placed on a non-carpet surface, causing a serious injury!
Question:	Why does mfgr say not for use as castor wheels? Up or down orientation should support sam load. Makes no entineering sense if base(floor) is firm
Answer:	I have never seen castor wheels that are this small. For a chair or for a dolly these would be inappropriate because they are small enough to get stuck in even a small imperfection in the floor surface. My use was for the underside of a panel on which a large tool chest was positioned - the purpose being to allow pulling the chest forward about 10-15 inches to access a compartment on the top. Do not seem appropriate for use in place of a regular castor with wheels of 1/2" diam or larger.

Answer:	It's not that heavy when you fold the legs its easy to carry I would say that it is about 12-13 pounds. Very well built I use it all the time the gripping power is amazing.
Question:	What is the absolute minimum height the stand will go
Answer:	28.5" measured on mine, scale on the column has it at 28" but its off by 1/2" off.
Question:	Is there a work height issue with a minimum 29" height adjustment? i.e., planing a 30" interior door on its side + 29" height
Answer:	For me it would be, that would end up being to high for me to work on safely. So I would put the stand at min. height, then rotate the head 90 deg. from the horizontal, put the door on it's side on the floor. Then scoot it into the clamp on the jawstand and clamp it. Then it would be stable and the working surface height would be 30". The only problem would be that where the head clamp is, is around 25" from the floor, but the door would be inside the clamp, the head would stick up and make it so you couldn't a complete pass unless I rigged up something to make the clamp work beyond the head. I don't know if this is clear or not, sorry.
Question:	Has anyone substituted a handle or larger knob for the puny ones it comes with? I find the small knobs very awkward
Answer:	Yes, I picked up some at Home depot, and with a little modification makes a big difference in being able to lock the jaws in place.

Answer:	Yes you need two of those or something at the other end. I have a 4'x6' portable table top on it, make sure the other end is support well otherwise it will rotate and fall. If you just have one of those, use a small table top and attach a 2x4 on the bottom.

Question:	Can caster wheels be added to the feet
Answer:	The feet already have holes in them where casters can be bolted. I would use caution because it might throw off the balance when all casters are facing the same way. I would also check with the manufacturer to get their opinion . Some casters come with a threaded bolt on top where a not can be fastened.

Question:	How do I assemble the roller bar into the holder
Answer:	One or both ends of the roller are spring-loaded. Push it in and let it snap into the hole in the frame. It's a pretty strong spring.
Question:	My roller has several small rust spots. Is this normal? I do woodworking so I cannot oil it
Answer:	I have one that is 8 years old and it has rust spots. There is a product called SlipIt that you can put on the roller. Slipit will not hurt wood. I use it on my jointer table.
