I don’t see any reason why it would matter if it isn’t a flat bottom or if the heater is at an angle as long as the water space is large enough for the heater to be submerged. Answer:	Yes. I have used them for years in a250 gallon plastic turtle pond over the water pump bottom filter. They only last about 1-2 years though. My turtles sometimes huddle around it. Chicken wire cage is probably a good idea though. But won't burn them under that much water. Don't heat it for very long out of water. Only use with a GFI outlet.

Question:	I have the fluval flex 32.5 gallon tank. which heater should i get? thank you
Answer:	Where do you live? I live in FL where the average temp of my fish room is 75. I have M200 (200W rated for a 65 gallon tank) on my 75 gallon tanks. If you live in Maine, the average temp is probably 60-65 of your fish room. you will need the M300 ( 300W rated for 80 gallons) or maybe 2 of them to heat the same 75 gallon tank. with that said, I think you will be find with the M100 or M50 will be fine for your 32 gallon tank. just make sure they will fit. when you set it up, put the heater in the tank, let it sit for a day or at least a few hours before you turn it on.. see what temp the tank is, turn the heater on the lowest setting and slowly turn it up to the match the tank temp. let it sit there for a hour or so, then set it to what ever temp you want. Don't trust the dial that states what the temp is, it may be off by 1 or 2 degrees. Be sure to monitor the temp for a few days to make any adjustments. Heaters will not change the temp of the tank instantly, it may take a few hours.
Question:	How long does it take to heat a 15 gallon tank
Answer:	The instructions say: "Wait 30 minutes before connecting to the electrical outlet. This allows the heater to adjust to the aquarium water temperature. Note that it may take up to 12 hours for the eater to attain the water temperature you have selected." That being said, my experience is that it is quite a bit faster than that. Of course, that depends on what temperature the water started at! (i.e., how cold is your room). Please note that thre 50 watt model is rated for 15 gallon MAX. That means if you want wiggle room, you might consider the 100 watt version. Again, however, my experience is that the 50 watt was adequate for my 15gallon. But my house is not cold.

Answer:	Sounds like you have a lot of protein in the tank that is causing an "oil slick" on the surface. It is unrelated to the heater, other than warmer water may be causing the particles to rise and form the slick. Do a partial water change of 25%. Feed less.
Question:	Red light keeps turning on and off. Temp stays at 60. I returned it twice so are all of them broken
Answer:	No, the heaters are not broken, the thermometer is the issue. The red light will not stay on all the time as that would cause it to overheat the tank. It will go on and off every few minutes until it raises the temperature to between 76 and 80 degrees. Then it goes off for a little bit. This will happen more frequently as it is raising the temperature and less often once it gets there. If your home is actually 60 degrees, you will need a larger heater or two heaters in order to properly heat the tank. Heaters are calibrated for an average room temperature of 72 degrees.
Question:	can this be placed in a plastic tub
Answer:	Yes, it can be placed in a plastic tub. However, keep in mind it may not attach very firmly, and you do not want it to float up. Do not place anything directly on it, as that could cause it to malfunction, but you might want to build a "cave" around it, to prevent it from floating up out of the water while it is heating. That would definitely cause it to malfunction! Otherwise, there are no issues with using it in a plastic tub, acrylic tank, etc.

Answer:	This heater can heat up to 30 actual gallons of water so if your turtle tank is half to three-quarters of the way full, then yes, it can. The kit came with a Aquaclear 30 filter(very good), 100W heater, outside thermometer, water conditioner and biological additive that's supposed to allow you to add fish immediately.
Question:	Is 10.6 inches the correct length for the 300w model? I'm skeptical - that seems really short
Answer:	Yes, I think so. I keep it down on the low flow setting. If it's on high it tends to make a powerful burst in the water that makes the fish shoot downwards when they swim in under it. The only time I ever hear sound is when the tank water gets low and I hear the trickling of the water from the filter down to the tank. I actually really like these filters, the one in my smaller vista tank has held up for almost 3 years.
