Answer:	River blue is not a bright or even light blue color. It is closer to a blue/grey slate (hence River Blue) with very subtle circles of light antique gold/copper and a very light silver/platinum. The metallic circles are not overbearing. The fabric itself has a sheen to it and the backing is white.I'm actually really impressed with color and weight of the curtains out of the package. Quality appears to be well stitched. AS for light blocking be aware that Eclipse curtains have three tiers from good, better and best. This is their GOOD tier called Thermaback.
Question:	How wide is the opening for the forks
Answer:	They truly block out all light. I'm a migraine suffer and they block it all! Not lined but definitely thick.

With the right hardware and installed correct, yes. Provides total blackout. Need 2 panels pr standard window so keep in mind when sizing for slider. Not had long enough to see if fade in full sun. Not lined but no affect on blackout with black or grey. I purchased 12 panels. Only part that shows any light is at the top. I did not purchase blackout rods. These lay close to window and wrap on sides. If do not want these rods, or pay their price I have made in past inexpensive thin awnings over top window trim extending slightly over barely touching curtains. Do not notice, painted white. Made them to fit sides also, like a mini cornice inverted weighing less than pound or two. Easy, quick, cheap. Drawn or open Unnoticed.

Answer:	I removed 3 layers of shingles with a layer of wood shakes underneath. This tool tore it all up at once. If it's just wood shakes you'd probably be ok with a flat shovel. I highly recommend the beast though.

Answer:	They is a little bit of shimmer to the design, but I do not think it would be detrimental to the overall performance ot the curtain. I am extremely pleased with our curtains. Ours are hanging on a sliding glass door to the back deck off the bedroom, and they probably reduce the light penetrating the room by approximately 80-90%. I would try them for blacking out a home movie theater.
