Here's the nut of it: the Honeywell device, like any control device, measures its physical surroundings in some way to produce a piece of information used to affect a change of state in another system. In this case, a helical compound bar increases its length on one layer to push a lever which turns a dial to close a switch, turning on a fan. It ought to work, but, one would need to be confident with the electrical schematic included, and familiar with the internal workings. It might be that a different size of compound bar reads its surroundings differently given its specific surface area. This may have some effect on how the threshold dials are set. Proceed with informed caution, but the two devices appear to achieve the same general function. This design appears to have been manufactured for several decades, and has the character of a successful generic.

Answer:	there are 2 setting bars and 3rd preset bar which is at 200. 1st bar I set mine at 70. for cool down 2nd bar set at 115.for fan start up.. you can set yours different if you like ,but when you set the bars use your finger to hold the dial from moving while you move the bars so you don't stetch the heating cold spring.
